LOCATION:
It's not in the center of the city, but not so far away either... it took maybe 15-20min from the Bus Terminal 3 and around 10min to Thapae Gate, the center of Chiang Mai and the Old Town. Travel time by car (we used Grab Taxi app)
Just next to the hotel there's an evening market where you can shop different things and also find different food. It's quite big and I think it's open daily just in the evening though.
CHECK IN:
We came around noon to the hotel, traveled by bus since the morning so we were a bit tired when we arrived. Normally hotels are very helpful and kind and let me check in a bit earlier, but that wasn't possible for us... and that's fine I guess. We were told that check in was from 2 pm, but we could leave the luggage there and go out.
They checked us in with all the documents but we couldn't get our room until 2 pm. I heard at the check out for two guest that hotel would charge them 100 THB I think it was for some small stains on one pillowcase, ridiculous I think.. they could have just washed it.
When I'm on holiday I don't want to have to walk around and feel uncomfortable because I'm afraid I would leave any makeup stains or other small stains in my room.
Well we got back at 2 for the check in and I wasn't ready, I had to wait even more. That sucks that they have a policy for check in at 2 pm but they couldn't even hold to that policy.
ROOM:
We got booked 2 single beds and the room was OK, modern and simple. Bed was comfortable.
Room amenities was big refrigerator, small safety box, electric kettle for hot water, some coffee/tea sachets and drinking water.
Air-conditioning was good and the bathroom had shampoo and shower cream. Small desk with chair, Flat-screen TV and wifi.
BREAKFAST:
First day we had breakfast wasn't a buffet, I guess they had too little guest staying the hotel that day.
We got a plate with our choice if egg, sausages, ham and some small thai pickled salad. With the plate we also got thai porridge/rice soup with chicken.
They had a small self service area for juices, different type of coffees and also a small sallad buffet and a toast station.
Second day we were there they had a real breakfast buffet instead, a small one but still a few choices to pick from.
LOBBY AREA:
It was a small just regular lobby, but with Foosball game table and a small bar.
POOL:
We never used the pool, felt a bit awkward to swim in the pool just next to the lobby and just glass windows between. Felt like being watched.
But that's how we felt, if you don't mind people see you when they use the lobby area or the breakfast while u are at the pool... then it might work for you.
WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN?
Staff was polite at he lobby but nothing more, the breakfast staff was very friendly though. I don't think I would come back again because of the location (I would prefer the inner city) and that the hotel charged a guest 100 THB for a small stain on the pillow case.
