My experience at Amora Thapae was nothing short of extraordinary. The seamless check-in process, combined with the attentive service, truly defined five-star hospitality. The room exuded elegance and comfort, providing a haven of relaxation. The amenities were top-notch, and the attention to detail by the staff was impeccable. Dining at the hotel surpassed expectations, offering a delightful culinary journey. The central location further added to the convenience, making it a perfect choice for both leisure and business travelers. In summary, Amora Thapae not only met but exceeded my expectations for a 5-star stay, creating lasting memories of luxury and excellence.

This hotel is located very near a popular bar area and walking area in the old city. The staff was very kind. Helped me personally or pointed me towards help when I had questions. The room was quite small, but more importantly it was a bit humid and the air conditioning unit was fairly loud (even on quiet mode). Furthermore, the room didn’t have ventilation — no windows that opened — so wasn’t able to hang dry my sweaty sports gear at all. I was still overall pleased with the hotel though, if you’re having a short stay in the old town, this place is decent.

The room size is ok but the toilet and bathroom is too narrow. The shower glass door cannot close properly when we shower. The water splash to the dry area. The location is good. Its just right infront of the gate and next to the walking street.

My wife and I stayed here recently for 22 nights and really enjoyed our time at the Darley. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms looked just like the pictures and were always very clean and the bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep every night. The daily breakfast provides a varied selection of food that is really tasty. For breakfast there is also an outside eating area for some nice early morning fresh air. The location is close to the US consulate (5 min) and Chinatown (5 min) but you can get anywhere easily in Chiang Mai from the hotel using a Grab car or Songtaew (Red Pick Up Truck Taxi). There is a Tesco/Lotus Express a 2 minute walk from there to get many small grocery items or use the ATM (the hotel room has a small fridge) and a Shabu restaurant next door to it. I had lost my phone in a Grab car and the staff at the front desk immediately started to help us get in contact with the Grab support, 15 minutes later my phone was back at the hotel. (thank you Jutarat and Tangmo). Honestly can't think of anything I would change and definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Chiang Mai.

Pros: It's worth what you pay, calm and quite guest house (not a hotel), the night market street is 02 minutes walk from the hotel, with the cheapest Sunday massage options 04 minutes walk from your stay. Free Tea & coffee in lobby, 7/11 just 100 mts from this place, barber shop in the building. Owner Mr. Koh very friendly and will attend to any request you may have, he will carry your luggage to the 02nd floor. Cons: some rooms smell bad with previous tenants taking in food and durians; you may not like your stay at first but once you are in, you will cop up with the room, it's too basic but enough. Worth what you pay for but much worth for the location as you can walk to the Tae Phae gate in 05 minutes. Good for a 03 day stay in the heart of Old Chiang Mai. Good owner Mr. Koh,

Out of the lobby you can walk to the Night Bazaar immediately. About 7 minutes walk to the Food Market where there's live music performances. Monday to Friday are the best nights while Sunday most of the restaurants are closed. About 30 minutes walk from the right side of the lobby you can reach the Old Ciity Wall. It is romantic with the night lighting. There's quite a selection of western, Thai and Chinese food from the hotel breakfast buffet.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar, nur wenige Schritte von der Altstadt und vielen Bars und Restaurants entfernt. Supermarkt, Geldautomat, Apotheke, alles in unmittelbarer Nähe. Und dennoch in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, die sogar eine Einbahnstraße ist. Das Zimmer war sauber, hell, und nett eingerichtet. Alle Bediensteten waren unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit... An einem Abend hatte ich total Kopfschmerzen, und bat um Eis zum Kühlen meiner Stirn. War natürlich kein Problem. Und oft gab es Zeit für eine kurze Unterhaltung. Beim Frühstück kann man aus mehreren Sachen auswählen, ich habe meistens Spiegelei oder Rührei gegessen, was mir dann am Tisch serviert wurde. Außerdem habe ich mich gefreut, dass die Preise für die Getränke in der Minibar echt günstig waren. Nach einer anstrengenden Tagestour, hatte ich keine Lust mehr zum Supermarkt zu gehen. Und ein kühles Bier war da genau richtig 😀 Ich komme gerne wieder, wenn ich noch mal in Chiang Mai bin.

A 5 stars boutique hotel located in old town, very convinence👍 Right in front is the walking street/ open market on Sunday. There is a school opposite to the hotel. Its rather noisy in the morning as my room is facing to the school, however trouist like us usually wake up early so no big deal. All snackssss/drinksss in the mini bar are free👍👍 includes cokes, beers, 6 bottles of water, lemon tea, chipsss, chocolate. 😅 😁 Afternoon tea by the pool is free too! Very good for those who want to relax in the hotel Staffs are very friendly👍👍

La situación del Hotel es excelente, ya que queda cerca de varios templos importantes de la ciudad. Aunque el alumbrado es mejorable (eso no depende del Hotel pero es un detalle importante). Las habitaciones amplias ,pero aquí empezamos con los ”pero”. No tiene nevera individual,es un básico si viajas a Tailandia ya que la temperatura es muy elevada y se agradece poder beber un poco de agua si estás en tu habitación que esté fresquita. Por el contrario la nevera colectiva se encuentra en el hall la puedes dejar sin problema pero no es muy práctico. La cama no es muy grande y tampoco es muy cómoda. A pesar de que hay aire acondicionado en las habitaciones hace muchísimo calor y puedes acabar sudando cuando duermes en ella. Además, no hay buena insonorización y hay muchísima luz que viene se fuera (las cortinas no tapan mucho) y si tienes sueño ligero no es una buena opción. Falta también una cajonera para poder guardar tus cosas,ya que a pesar de que hay armario está todo al aire,y sinceramente,que la señora de la limpieza vea mis cosas a mi no me agrada. El baño es amplio pero sin separación de mampara,y es por ello que se moja todo el suelo cuando te duchas. Como positivo se agradece tener un colgador tanto dentro como fuera de la habitación para secar tus cosas. El desayuno hay que elegirlo el día anterior pero está bastante completo y rico. La limpieza de habitaciones diaria con cambio de toalla. También hay servicio de lavandería,alquiler de bicicletas y servicio.de bar pero solo hasta las 17h. Dispone de pisicna de agua salada muy recomendable si vas en época de calor. En definitiva si vas a pasar algunos días sin muchos lujos y a un precio asequible este es tu lugar si no no lo recomiendo.
