Hotel berhampiran Jialefu Night Market, Chiayi

The hotels in Chiayi were quite expensive and this hotel was very decently priced for the standard. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. The hotel itself was surprisingly nice. Breakfast was functional, and the staff were friendly. Right across from the train station. Close to eating places and walkable to the night market. Absolutely no complaints.

I recently stayed at the Maison De Chine Hotel in Chiayi for two nights and was pleasantly surprised by the value offered. I booked one of the cheaper rooms without a window, and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a cozy sofa corner, a separate tea-making station, and a cleverly designed layout with a separate toilet, bathroom basin, shower, and bathroom area. This setup provided a level of convenience and comfort that’s hard to find at this price point. Although I mostly used the room for sleeping, it was a great space to retreat to after a day of exploring. The reception team, especially Ken, was fantastic. They were always ready to help, whether it was organizing taxis at a moment’s notice or offering detailed information on how to catch a bus to Alishan. One of the standout amenities was the free laundry room—an absolute lifesaver for someone like me who’s been traveling solo around Taiwan. It’s also worth mentioning the hotel’s excellent location. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the night market, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy some delicious street food. There’s a cheap and tasty breakfast cafe right across the road and a Family Mart around the corner, where you can conveniently book your HSR tickets. Overall, my stay at Maison De Chine Hotel was wonderful, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chiayi.

Very pleasant and relaxing staying over a night, even my family arrived late and very like the interior design... The only thing I am thinking of is that, it would be better if the heavy carpet floor can be replaced by light fresh wood floor.... Thanks!

로비가 시원하고 예뻤어요. 방의 구석구석까진 청소가 되지않아 먼지가 많았고, 저희방은 창문이 없어 약간의 곰팡이 냄새가 났어요. 하지만, 직원들이 너무 친절해서 그 부분은 만족했어요. 그리고, 위치도 좋았습니다.

My stay at Grand Earl Hotel is truly a positive one. Will definitely book this hotel again if I were to be back in Madraid. The clean and spacious rooms are definitely a huge plus. Additionally, the service staff were really helpful and friendly which made my stay there an enjoyable one.

There should be some towels next to the pool. It's bad the shower room next to the pool doesn't have the hot water. The location, room and breakfast however are excellent.

There were several areas where I felt the service and amenities could be improved. Firstly, lack of a lift and the need to climb up to level 4 was challenging, especially with heavy luggage. Additionally, the counter staff I encountered during check-in were unfriendly and did not provide a welcoming atmosphere. Another issue was lack of security measures for guests' belongings. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that there were no numbered tags provided for luggage left in the lobby, which could have potentially resulted in items being lost or stolen. While the gentleman who assisted us with our request for extra pillows was helpful, I was disappointed to find that our room was cleaned without any notice the next day morning before check out. We had planned to return to the room after our breakfast and were surprised to find that the cleaning staff had already cleaned up the room without informing us. If our value belonging were still inside the room when it was cleaned. Who will takes responsibility for any lost or stolen items in such situations.

Room is spacious, clean and well equipped with toiletries. Walking distance from Shouzhen temple when we asked for direction to Sacred Tree Station back to hotel. There is even shuttle bus from Zhushan station back to hotel but not FOC which we are not aware of. We’re pleased that we can have refund(not full amt) on train ticket and pay for the shuttle bus service. Hotel price is on the high side. Would have stayed one more night to spend more time on forest trails.

飯店很新，很寬敞，一樓有給小孩玩電動車的地方（晚上七點前），三樓有一個小健身房（非常簡易）以及小孩玩樂的空間，有小球池、溜滑梯還有扮家家酒的區域，以及Switch區（到晚上九點），走路三分鐘到高鐵站，但周圍完全沒有店家，需要開車五分鐘比較有吃的東西，推薦短待一個晚上沒問題。 The hotel is very new and spacious. On the first floor, there’s a place where kids can play with electric cars (available until 7 PM). On the third floor, there’s a small gym (very basic) and a play area for children, which includes a ball pit, a slide, a pretend play area, and a Switch gaming zone (available until 9 PM). It’s a three-minute walk to the high-speed rail station, but there are no stores in the surrounding area. You’ll need to drive about five minutes to find places to eat. I recommend staying for just one night, which should be fine.
