I was promised a refund by Imran over several phone calls and messages to himself and to ***********. All to find out by his ‘manager’ that they would not provide me with a refund. The manager tried to compensate by saying he would offer me a premium room. But this is not what I was promised by Imran. He also tried to pretend that he could not offer a refund under *********** T&Cs when he knew full well it was down to his discretion at this stage. So, this created stress prior to the stay, all to be extremely disappointed right at the very last minute. On the day of the stay, Imran did not reply to my messages. On arrival, the manager seemed reluctant to give us the keys to the second room and told us to not be greedy, when he was the greedy one not offering me my refund! Secondly, my friend commented on how the room stank of smoke. Thirdly, the shower pressure was wavering, and at times there would be no water coming out. Fourthly, some of the mugs for the tea were dirty and not cleaned during our stay. In fact, our room was not freshened at all. We also phoned the manager to ask where the iron was. He gave a deep sigh on the phone and then explained it to us. The manager also advised us that if anyone was locked out, he would not be coming to open the door for them. That is not a way to treat your customers, even though it is a budget hotel. I did not try the breakfast, therefore I cannot comment on it. But frankly, I wouldn’t want to eat it. In summary, I would say anyone staying here should be prepared to be lied to, with no empathy offered.
