We chose this place for the location and price (on the cheaper side) - both good. Room was a bit shabby (stains on couch, water damage in bathroom, stains on carpet). Had all the necessities for our short stay - we cooked dinner two nights and ate out two nights. Most of the plates, bowls, cutlery were dirty and had to be washed before use. Staff were friendly . View from balcony of the harbour was lovely. Friday and saturday nights it was quite noisey from the bar across the street (on the harbour side of the building) with music and chatter etc. Perfectly fine if you don’t plan to spend much time in your room as we didn’t!

Location drew me to Establishment, situated near some of my favourite restaurants in Sydney and close to the venue where I was doing business. Establishment delivers for location. I also chose Establishment for a little bit of luxury to break a heavy work schedule and it did not live up to expectation. It seems to be a great party crash hotel for the bucks/hens night with few services that really speak to the time poor luxury business traveller. It’s beautifully styled with a comfortable bed, but that is about the limit. It’s the services and the quality of the room features that let it down. No 24 hour room service and a menu that is not reflective of the quality of the food precinct it’s situated in. (I went out to get an excellent take away breakfast that I brought back to my room rather than order anything from the scant breakfast menu that looked like a take away menu). I left my computer power charger at home, but concierge could not help me with one to borrow or ideas on where I could buy a replacement. The bath is very narrow and not much hot water - I boiled the kettle to get it a bit warmer. Hunter products in the bathroom but there was no hair conditioner and few of the little luxuries that you would expect in such a stylish bathroom such as extra towels, make up mirrors/lighting, an extra soap for the bath. The room fittings are pretty tired and scuffed up. It’s certainly ready for a bit of a renovation/ refresh. The carpet looks like it’s seem some amazing parties. The room, particularly the bathroom, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. The bathroom shower curtain was really dirty and needs to be replaced. Lots of marks on the walls and scuff marks on furniture - looks tired and a bit worn out. There is no dedicated space to work for business travellers, other than a long table near the window but I had to sit on the bed. Inside the lift the small seating looks like it had seen some parties as well and not clean enough to sit on. No hand sanitiser anywhere. This was the most expensive room rate for the CBD area I wanted to be in, and the result was disappointing. As a lover of boutique hotels, I was looking forward to staying here, but based on this experience I won’t return and can’t recommend this one.

Room initially appeared well presented with good basic amenities and good central location for what we needed. Bathroom with large shower and good water pressure. Bed comfy.Front reception staff friendly and helpful. Parking close by (although a bit of a rabbit warren to get to / from car park, you also may need to tell parking staff that you a a guest of the hotel to get in as it also has public parking and fills up). The negatives I noted that bedside table had a couple marks (looked greasy/ hadn’t been cleaned properly) otherwise the room appeared clean to me. The tea and coffee looked like it was skimped (box showing 4 pods of coffee only had one). Friend in different room had similar experience and their soap was empty. Heard another guest complain about the cleanliness of their room to front reception whilst I was waiting in the lobby. For me the real surprise was being charged for things I didn’t use in the minibar. I rang them once I was home and reception told me it wasn’t an error, and the bill would remain (however they said ‘we will check’). I had one drink, not 3… unless I drank them whilst asleep!This is actually the action which motivated me to review this hotel, so others know to be careful. The charge won’t break my bank account but I feel like I have been shortchanged. I think all the issues with the hotel are with housekeeping, I won’t stay again though due to the minibar charges. If the housekeeping improved (cleanliness, refilling consumables and not charging guests for items not used) it has potential to be a nice hotel.

Disgusting hotel/service and experience. Carpet is tired throughout the property and when I got to the floor it had a horrible, dank smell of fish wafting around the hallway. Decor looks like it hasn't been changed since 1980s, with clear scuffs on side of the table, powerpoints that are yellowed from the turn of time, old paint and scuff marks on the walls, and coffee stains on yellowed skirting. Carpet looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in months. One side of the mattress was completely sunken in, and all the vents were full of dust which was a major health concern due to having asthma/allergies. I requested a room move due to all these issues - hotel reception advised they were full for the evening and not possible but could ”try” for a room move the following day (but advised not to mention he had suggested that to the AM team since he could already see at capacity for next night). I was obviously not happy with this solution and requested to be moved to one of their other sister properties - my request was declined again with no real reason why he could not do this but he offered a ”solution” to the wilted matress to ”bring extra sheets to put on the bed to fix the problem”. When I then advised I will just check out that evening and find somewhere else to stay for those 2 nights he advised I could only get refund on the second night - which would have left me further out of pocket. He then made it clear he wasn't going to further help as he had other people at the counter. Needless to say, I had no option but to stay for first night and deal with possibility of my allergies flaring up from the lack of ventilation and dust. The fun did not stop there - after having a shower (which has soap scum residue and Mould by the base of the shower door), I found out they had neglected to even equip my room with bath towels - another call to reception to get this sorted in the midst of dripping wet and only having a hand towel to avail. Whilst John at reception next morning was empathetic to my complaints, the damage was already done - inconvenienced with having to move to another hotel, being charged $210 for a room that was in worse shape than neighboring hostels I have stayed at, and nil follow up from the duty manager that day as promised. In all my time travelling for business or leisure, I have never had to check out of a hotel early to escape such a bad experience. Will never stay again and will never send any of my clients to this property.

The location is wonderful, would say that it's the center of famous attractions Sunny Hills, Chinatown, Bondi Beach, Opera House, Darling Habour, and The Rocks. We Rented a car, fees per day were pretty cheap, and assistance to keep your car within the hotel is fantastic .good hospitality service. The housekeeping team was really efficient a team of 7/8 cleaning the room so it's fast and clean. Overall the place is really clean and a really cozy place to come back to. The only thing that wasn't so pleasing is that, we requested for late check-out for another 30min - 1 hour but was rejected by the receptionist .as we had mistaken the time and just woke up and didn't manage to pack our stuff and were requested to leave the place within 15 min time. its was really rush and left us with not a really happy way to end the trip .

You hear to over and over in reference to hotels. ”You get what you pay for.” So, this place is cheap. For Sydney (where hotels are becoming absurdly expensive) it is very cheap. So, yes, it is old. The bathroom with its grey-green tiles reminded me of an old country hotel. The glass surround of the shower is grungy (but not dirty). The curtains don't quite fit. BUT ... the location is astounding. As advertised, it is literally a minute's walk to Sydney Town Hall. It is right in the very heart of the city. It is clean. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The place is quiet (note I had a room on the fourth floor - it may be noisier lower down). It has a modern working lift. The Wifi is good. The TV is erratic. And, most surprisingly, the room was actually quite roomy. The Coronation is MUCH better value than many inner city hotels. There are some that are more expensive which have only shared bathrooms; there are some that are very slightly cheaper that was actually pod or capsule hotels. Here you can get a proper room, a roomy room, with an ensuite bathroom, right in the heart of the city, cheaper than less well appointed alternatives. Sure, it's old. It isn't the Ritz. But it also doesn't charge Ritz prices. In truth it is an average establishment, but I am rating it very good because it is actually much better than expected, and the price - for the location - is fantastic. People will complain about it because it is old. Eventually it will get upgraded, and then it will be modern and white and gleaming - and much more expensive! Until that day, I'll stay there again, happily.

とにかく素晴らしかったです！ 立地はオペラハウスからかなり近く、ダーリングハーバーにも近いのでとてもいい場所です。 フロントのスタッフの対応は本当に素晴らしく、 チェックイン時には、午前中だったのでまだ部屋に入れない状況だったが、シャワーを浴びる必要があるか確認してくれたし、チェックアウト時は、荷物を預かる必要があるかを確認してくれた。 そして荷物を取りに行くと、空港までのタクシーを呼んでくれて、タクシーがなかなか来なかったが、雨の中傘をさしてタクシーを捕まえてくれました。 待ち時間には、瓶に入ったミネラルウォーターを提供してくれた。 部屋は写真通りの美しさ！ 設備もかなり充実していました。 シャワーも水圧が高く温度調節も簡単です。 本当に文句のつけようがありません！ 宿泊してよかったです！ 素敵な滞在をありがとうございました♪

Stylish & Comfortable Great to have a non classical hotel in Sydney CBD! The hotel was celebrating its grand opening during our stay, so very new. Service and setting (specially in Lobby) still need to be fine tuning.

Amazing hotel. Very heritage but the room has all the modern comforts. Check in staff are friendly and polite. The location is good with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Queen Victoria Building and the Darling Harbour is just a 5 minutes walk away. Will definitely come back again on my next visit.
