Bilik dengan pemandangan tasik yang ditempah sebenarnya mempunyai tingkap kecil untuk melihat tasik, tetapi tidak bersebelahan dengan tasik. Melihat ke luar tingkap, anda akan melihat dua barisan kabin. Meja depan mengatakan bahawa kabin hanya boleh ditempah melalui telefon. Anything but a resort, honestly. BUT Pros: Upon deciding that my mum will be coming with me, i called reception and informed them if they're able to upgrade me from a single bed room to 2 bed rooms. There is a charge though ($10 from memory). The rooms are divided between upstairs and downstairs. When i got there i realized the room was upstairs which wasn't convenient for my elderly mother, staff happily changed it to the ground level. Ground level rooms are VERY accessible and safe with parking straight infront of the room. Beds very comfy. Room very room, didn't even need the AC. They had in room service if need be. Location great. Close to multiple shops and major centers as well as great beaches! They offer after hours self check in which is great. Room are very secure. Cons: Stayed for few nights with my mum for work purposes. Since i was away on site working, my mum had the leisure of observing the cleaning ladies cleaning routines. The lady used the same rag to clean the bathroom sink and floor to clean the kitchen cabinets, countertops and other furniture in the room. Called reception immediately and notified them. They apologized and said they'll chat with them before their next round. Room was small, with limited in-room facilities. Only kettle and toaster was provided. As well as an ancient microwave and a mini fridge that doesn't provide appropriate circular air to keep items cool. Mugs and plates are provided. But bring your own like we did just for extra cleanliness. No sink outside of the bathroom's one which is very gross to clean your dishes. Now the bathroom! Holly crap. Terrible. Small, not clean, very old and moldy. I hated going in there to do my business when i had to. Best part about it is the shower, very warm water. Lighting is horrible. In room service food as well as the local restaurant food was horrible and expensive. Save your money and don't order anything from within the 'resort'. There's many others nearby cafes and restos nearby. Staff a bit standoff ish. Couldn't be bothered to explain few things that i've asked. For the price that was paid, just stay elsewhere.

Excellent experience. Check in through the pub. Friendly people. Close to shops. Close to lake front walking trail, then to the coast. Place to stay in Lake Illawarra.

Shellharbour Village Motel is central to everything in Shellharbour. Most places are within walking distance. Sheltered away from high traffic areas, so very quiet. The room was mind-blowing spacious, the bed super comfortable, plenty of storage, luggage stand, Couch and small dining table. There was a microwave also tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom is so spacious. You need to step into a bath for the shower (for us was no problem). The owners are very friendly, happy to accommodate where they can and very good knowledge of the Shellharbour area. There is a Thai restaurant within the Motel. We look forward to our next stay.

Good for a budget and short stay. Stayed here as a friend went to a show in Wollongong. Surprisingly the bed was actually comfy, and the room was tidy. However the room was a bit too hot as it was facing the afternoon sun, and didn't have air con, but room did have fan. Other down side there was no mini fridge to keep drinks cold, and only access to a double power point. Room access is via stairs and has no lift access. Bath in shared bathroom needs bit of an update but shower was ok. Limited parking on site as well, but there is street parking near by.

I must say that the pictures were somewhat different to the reality. The motel is in a great location, but it is pretty old and pretty tired. The room was reasonably clean, and the bed OK for one night. The bathroom was adequate although there is nowhere in the shower to put anything (ie no niche/ or rack/ or soap dish). The layout was a bit awkward - at the end of the main room was a small room which contained a handbasin, a bench with microwave, a frig and some hanging space. This room had a door, which opened against the hanging area and bench with frig, microwave etc. At the other end of the bench there were some drawers containing a toaster and lots of toast crumbs, and these were blocked by the bin. If you require a hairdryer, I'd suggest taking your own. There was one, but the ”safety features” rendered it basically useless. If you do decide to stay here, take care to actually book through the motel - their website is not optimised, and you will probably end up booking through some other site and paying more. Our room was at the back so we did not hear road noise although I suspect it may be quite noise if you get a front room
