BbaraoGuild**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”**
Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.
At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed.
However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.
I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.
Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better.
The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.
While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

MMB1010Great hotel. Amazing design features in the rooms. Easy bus into town but be aware they generally stop at 11pm although a taxi was only 12 euros after this point.
No room service but nice staff. If this hotel was in town it would be amazing, but was still a great option as a tourist!

CChloe Wang YPFriendly staff, fantastic and clean room at a fair price. We were staying in suite. Location is good enough but slightly far from all the eateries, some 20min walk and you likely need to walk 4times a day due to the Siesta culture nothing open after brunch and before late dinner.

MMuedraVery good interior design, the room is very comfortable. There was no hairdryer in my room but you can get one from the reception.
Coffee (around 3 euro) is good but gin n tonic is 9 euro (very expensive).

HHansel SheldonThe hotel is located about 15-20 min walk to the center of San Sebastian. Staff are kind and extremely helpful. Cleanliness was good. Restaurant was surprisingly very good in the lobby. stayed there for 5nights and 6 days was well worth it. The price was quite expensive for what i paid but it was during the film festival so was well worth it. would certainly stay here on my way back to San Sebastian

NNagore & JacquieWe have a wonderful experience walking up the hill and locating Avenida Hotel. The views are amazing and looking stunning up the mountain. Great location walking distance to the beach and city. Excellent services at reception and morning breakfast. Easy access to gym and swimming pool.

PPengguna TetamuIf you are looking for a place to sleep and an excellent location for a cheaper price than the surrounding hotels, this is a great option! However, I had not stayed in a pension before and I didn’t realize that we would be sharing a bathroom with 5-6 other people.
The workers were polite, professional and accommodating! They provided coffee, tea and water.

VVioleta BarriosEs la segunda vez que nos alojamos en este hotel, todo muy bien à no ser por la habitación que olía a humedad. Sino las habitaciones son amplias y muy cómodas. El personal es lo mejor de la estancia, muy amables y simpáticos.
El desayuno está bien pero se puede conseguir mejor desayunando en alguna de las cafeterías que hay a proximidad.

PPengguna TetamuMerece la pena muchísimo ir a este camping. Las instalaciones amplias, buena distribución, piscina, bar restaurante con raciones desayunos y demás, atención de recepción con ayuda, y lo mejor las casas (yo cogí una de pareja) están súper cuidadas, al detalle, y limpieza absoluta. Si tenéis pensado ir a San Sebastián no lo dudéis. Además nosotros fuimos sin coche y el autobús al centro a San Sebastián es el 16 que para justo al lado y rápido. Así que genial!
