I stayed here in January 2022 for the first time on a cross-country business trip. It was a stormy winter night, and I needed a room from which to run an important online business meeting. The rooms are updated (unfortunately with taller beds) and clean. The desk was great for getting work done and holding the meeting, but the low light level in the room meant other meeting attendees said I looked ”shadowy”. Sleep quality was fine, although in January there were a lot of contractors staying there, and the 6 AM diesel serenade was an effective wake-up call through the glass outer wall. In June 2022, I was traveling with the family back from another meeting as part of our 2022 Big Road Trip. I remembered the ABVI Heflin wasn't a bad place to stay, and reserved again. This time it was much quieter, with few fellow guests. We did have a problem with the TV, but received extensive personalized service from the staff to fix it. Fridge and microwave worked fine. Another enjoyable stay, and the motel was good about our slightly-late check-out.
