Among the three Rosewood hotels in New Zealand, Rosewood Matakauri is the most conveniently located in the popular Queenstown, about 7 kilometers from the center of Queenstown to Glenorchy. Matakauri is known as a mountain lakeside resort. Facing the lake, it is quiet and elegant. It is surrounded by the three famous peaks of Queenstown and has excellent privacy. The hotel has excellent hardware and software, all customer service is warm and friendly, and the rooms have been upgraded to lake view suites. Dinner is served in a la carte format, and the cooking is excellent. If the breakfast can be as good as the dinner, it will be even more perfect. The wonderful experience here makes me look forward to the next two Rosewood hotels. In addition to the overall satisfactory environment and food of the hotel, the hotel has two Chinese-speaking staff whose service is very warm and friendly!

The view from the room was amazing! Dinner was fining dining, and the service was attentive. It was a perfect experience! I'll definitely stay here again next time!!

This hotel probably has the best view in Queenstown. It is very beautiful and quiet. The non-dairy desserts in the restaurant are also delicious. This is the best hotel I stayed in during this trip to New Zealand.

We stayed in Queenstown for three days during our honeymoon. I felt rested. The view was beautiful when I opened the curtains. I experienced unprecedented service. When I was having dinner, I mentioned to the butler that I had fallen and needed to go to the hospital. The manager called me in the afternoon to ask if I needed any help. The dinner menu didn't change much during the three days. It would be better if they could change it every day and give me a tasting menu. On the second night, I was surprised to find that the waiter in the restaurant was a mixed race of Chinese and Western.

Excellent quality, but a little expensive, nothing else is wrong

我住酒店花了一萬塊一晚，體驗特別差。 晚上到的時候，沒人接待，我等了好一會兒。辦理入住時，我讓我的會英語的司機當面跟負責人確認了好幾次：我的房費以及餐費在攜程上已經付款完成，除此之外對於小朋友不加床的情況下以及小朋友的用餐是否還需要額外付費。對方説沒有其餘任何需要的費用支出。之後還居然讓餐飲部的人帶我們去了房間。 第二天退房，服務枱有三個人，一個亞裔女生、一個外國女生、一個男生，給我一張八百多紐幣（約三千多人民幣）的單子，讓我簽字付錢。我不懂英語，用翻譯機説昨天入住時確認過不用付額外費用。 結果這三個人態度立刻變得很差，質問我：“誰跟你説不用付的？” 我哪知道前一晚辦理入住的人叫什麼，而且最後是餐飲部的人帶我們入住的。他們應該自己去查是誰接待的，不是來問我。 後來我讓會英語的司機跟那個外國女生通電話後説讓我們不要耽誤互相時間。後來我們打算出去先玩在等車的時候，外國女生過來説破例收一百多紐幣的餐費。我覺得不該付，但在國外不想麻煩，就妥協了。 花這麼多錢，遇到這種事，心情差透了，特別不值，這服務態度太糟了。

Wow, wow, wow. This place is amazing! We had the 5 course tasting menu and the food was just spectacular, thank you Chef Tristan. The service was amazing! 10/10 from Ilyas. (I hope that is spelt correctly) Out of all of the fine dining restaurants we visited on our trip this one was hands down the best! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
