It was a very modern and clean stay. The room was nice and soundproof when the windows were closed. The bed was not the most comfortable bed for a hotel and a little noisy as if there was a plastic wrapping. So every time there was movement it would wake the other person up. But overall would recommend giving it a try! We are light sleepers and it might have been just the mattress in our room.

Sehr gutes, engagiertes und freundliches Team! Auch wenn nicht alles perfekt lief, würde es umgehend und freundlich korrigiert. Die Hotelzimmer (Superior) sehr komfortabel, dem Niveau entsprechend, sehr sauber. Die Betten richtig gut. Garderobe ausreichend groß für ein paar Tage. Allenfalls im Bad vermissten wir einen Vergrößerungsspiegel, einen sicheren Einstieg in die Badewanne (zum Duschen). Sind die Fenster offen, hört man deutlich die Innere Kanalstraße, aber das weiß man, wen man das Hotel ob seiner guten Lage bucht. Also keine Kritik! Die Lage sehr gut: 500m zur Aachener Straße, 1000m zum DB Bahnhof West/Venloer Straße. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr, sehr gut, große Vielfalt bei absoluter Frische. Auch hier das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Zu erwähnen der Gym und den Spa auf dem Rooftop, gut ausgestattet, Sauna muss man halt rechtzeitig anmelden. Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel ob Lage, Ausstattung und Service. Wir waren früher schon einmal dort.

For my first trip to Cologne, my one-week stay at AMERON was delightful, so I hope I will be a returning guest soon! The hotel's location is perfect for catching different public transport means quickly and efficiently. The room was well-lighted, spacious, great for relaxing but also working, and had a pleasant modern warm aesthetic. The restaurant had delicious quality food (breakfast selection was very diverse, dinner too was always tasty), ”served” with a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The hotel's staff as well as the restaurant's staff were very friendly and had a lot of benevolent patience with my rusty German speaking skills! Communication was easy, professional, but also comfortable, in both German and English. Very happy with my choice, my heartfelt thanks to all the staff!

We booked a last minute trip to Köln and booked a 2 double room. We had to pay €200,00 deposit in cash. There was no other way to pay cash. After we got the money we only get the money back when we don’t smoke in one the rooms. After we arrived we went straight to a rave party and came back to sleep 4hours and check out before 12:00. So we did everything as they asked but the receptionist said that we smoked in our room because they allegedly found ashes on the balcony of the window. We didn’t even openend a window and we ran out of cigarettes. I smoked the last one in front of their hotel. They took pictures of the balcony and showed some ashes. The picture could have been from any other room cause they all look each other. So we didn’t get our money back they called the police on us. Police says they can’t do anything about it and that we have to file a complaint. When we asked to see the previous pictures of the room from the previous guests they say they don’t check it every time. So how can they be sure it wasn’t someone’s else previously.

400e for 2 nights for 2 rooms is a crazy amount of money for an ibis Budget. Just paid 100e less for a Lovely house in Bruges! However, hotel prices in Koln were incredibly high family of 5 we had little choice . Did the job but certainly not worth that amount of money. It was clean, comfy beds and powerful showers as a positive. Let's be honest thank goodness it was at that price. Good location outside of the LEZ zone and a quick hop onto the tram 8 mins walk away.

We booked this hotel for our first night in Cologne as my husband wanted to see the cars / Formula 1 memorabilia at Motorworld. As we were in Cologne without a car, we decided to book this car-themed hotel for one night. The room was huge - very comfortable bed and pillows. The location was good; we were able to easily navigate from the Central station to this hotel. The hotel has a car theme, and the designers really put a lot into it. From the hotel room ceiling to the elevator (we loved the vroom vroom as the elevator ascended to the floors), it was very cool. The Sunday breakfast was very expensive at 24 Euros per person, however it was incredibly plentiful and included sparkling wine to make Mimosas. There are several restaurants but they were all very busy on a Saturday night; if you plan to eat there, make a reservation. We were lucky to get a table, and if we had not, not having a car would have been an issue. We were happy to stay for a night.

Nice hotel close to the Köln/Bonn airport. Big plus for the 24/7 free airport shuttle that gets you to and from the airport in less than 10 minutes.
The staff is friendly and the amenities are good, with vending machines if you arrive too late for their nice restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

The reason for the location of this select hotel in an area devoid of personality, tourist attractions or facilities is totally unknown to me. And to get to the hotel, from Koln central station you have to change several means of transport. The price is really indecent for what it offers. He tries to stand out but fails miserably. For a 4-star hotel, the rooms are small, with limited equipment. There is no minibar or mini-fridge, no safe for valuables. Even a wardrobe for clothes is not provided, instead you will find a sheath in the wall with several hangers. And the concept of the bathroom is totally impractical: open bathroom in the room, with all the steam that spreads in the room, without towel holders.There is no possibility of heating the room, or at least it didn't work, given that the outside temperature during the night was close to freezing. A big problem was serving breakfast: around 7 am it was impossible to find a single seat at the table. At check-out I was asked to pay for the room again, although I had paid at check-in and I also had the issued invoice. In short, there are much better places in this world to stay and feel welcome!

PPengguna TetamuWir mussten leider einen very late check in machen (ca. 02:30), was aber überhaupt kein Problem war. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten über Booking.com ein Zimmer für 3 Personen gebucht, das vor Ort leider nicht mehr verfügbar war. Wir wurden ganz unproblematisch und ohne Mehrkosten auf zwei Comfort-Doppelzimmer „verteilt“ und bekamen noch ein Getränk aus der Hausbar for free als Entschuldigung dazu. Die Zimmer selbst sind sehr gut ausgestattet und komfortabel. Das inbegriffene Frühstück war der „Hammer“ und sehr reichhaltig und vielfältig. Von uns absolut zu empfehlen. Ein Parkhaus gibt es gleich nebenan und hat uns nichts gekostet.

GGradoThe Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

Was there just the overall great day and a great great location. Definitely want to stay there again. Would recommend this to anybody.

PPengguna TetamuHotel ligt vlak bij de Dom en het centraal station in een rustige straat en beschikt over een eigen parkeergarage (tegen betaling) die wel vrij nauwe ingang en nauwe parkeerplekken heeft. We arriveerden tegen het middaguur; onze business comfort met 2 separate bedden kamer was reeds gereed. Inchecken verloopt snel en effectief in de kleine receptie. De kamer beschikt over een badkamer met baddouche en toilet. Er is een raam dat open kan. Ondanks dat de kamer aan de straatzijde op 1e etage ligt is deze rustig. Er is koffie thee op de kamer beschikbaar. Vlak naast de receptie ligt de grote ruimte waar het ontbijtbuffet met ruim voldoende keuze geserveerd wordt. Vanuit het hotel loop je binnen 5 minuten via de stationshal het stadscentrum met alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden (waaronder de Dom van Keulen) in. Er zijn voldoende restaurants in de omgeving; het hotel heeft geen restaurant voor lunch of diner.

TThành Trung TrầnHygien, room, bed, quietness everything was great except that I got this problem with the receptionists. So I did explain to all the receptionist (that I saw-because I understand they work in shifts) that I lost 2 luggages due to the airline's mistake and airline will send them to this hostel where I would be staying (for 1 night only). I explained that if someone sent luggages here, please tell me asap because I needed to catch a train to Amsterdam the nextday noon. Imagine 35kg of personal belongs just dissapeared, I didnt have toothbrush, clean clothings.... I reminded them everything 3-4 hours when I saw a receptionist. After almost 27 hours of waiting in worry (which made me cannot enjoy the city), I talked to one receptionist to please check 1 more time becauze the airlines mailed me that they did send to the hostel at 4:30pm in the day I checked-in hostel, (only 4-5 hours after my flight time), she let me go it the luggage room and my luggages were there the whole time! So I waited in pain for 22 hours for nothing. I think it would be a bit obvious when 1 guy in delivery company uniform went in with 2 luggages and said ”this is from one of your customer.” But the receptionist just forgot it quickly and didnt tell me. I had to change a lot of my plan and I was feeling terible and stressful with the waiting and fear of lost luggages.
Beside that, the condition of rooms, facilities, warm water, sound proof windows were great.

PPengguna TetamuI stayed for 2 nights on a trip through Europe. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral. What I liked: The great location. The friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast with lots on offer. Easily accessible. The bed was comfortable. What I didn’t like: The room I was given was tiny with no window. It was so so hot and sadly that affected my sleep. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work and just circulated hot air. However, the kind man on reception offered me another room, but I was already settled and for such a short stay didn’t want to pack everything up again. Regardless of that, I’d be happy to stay here again and the price I paid was incredibly reasonable, being so close to the centre of the city.

MMarcmythingMy hotel stay was quite an adventure. Although it was very expensive, the room was incredibly compact, feeling more like a cozy closet. To make things more challenging, there was no elevator, so be prepared to tackle the stairs. The receptionists, unfortunately, were far from welcoming; their rudeness and disorganization resulted in a lengthy check-in process.
As if the quirks weren’t enough, the bathroom was located outside the room, making nighttime trips a real trek. To top it all off, the thin walls meant that the sounds of other guests were ever-present, especially during the quiet of the night. This stay definitely left me with some unique and dislikable memories!

FFlawedI stayed here for 4 nights while attending an International Expo nearby. I chose it due to ts excellent location to the old town square (5 mins walk) and nearby transit options. Check in was painful and laborious having to give all same information again despite booking online and handed an old fashioned key with a giant key ring (a door knob) The gothic decor is initially quite charming with darkened wood and portraits of dead people everywhere. The single room was cramped, tired and dated and boiling hot. With no air conditioning or the ability to open the window more than an inch I was left to roast away while trying to sleep. No sleep was managed. PIllows are thin, mattress is thin, uncomfortable bed. Shower is rubbish and a curtain so short its impossible to not cover the floor in water. No glass in room so had to get one from reception. Breakfast is ok, fairly basic cold options - meat, cheese, bread, boiled egg, cereal and juices. Dining room has some appeal and was tidy with tables cleared quickly. The main advantage of this hotel is the location, there is nothing else.
