Hotel Mesra keluarga di Cologne

This hotel is conveniently located near the city’s main attractions. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was really nice. There are plenty of choice to choose from. The staff was friendly and supportive.

There was no air conditioning (AC) even though the hotel advertised as having it. Their excuses was that it was too cool at night to operate the AC for the hotel even though it was actually very warm outside. Translation: the entire hotel is either on heat or AC, they are too frugal to allow use of the advertised AC, or their system is outdated and does not actually work properly. Very hot and stuff room. The odd thing was is that the hotel lobby seemed to have AC. The hallways and room were uncomfortably hot. Upon checking in there was only a little bit of toilet paper was left on the roll. Fortunately there was an extra roll provided. Only a few sheets of Kleenex were in the box. Also, the hand soap dispenser was nearly empty. It seems not much care is given to the rooms between guests. On our last day the housekeeper knocks on the door early in the morning even tough the “do not disturb” sign was hung on the door. It was a basic room with furnishings that included a desk, a small round table, 2 small nightstands, a desk chair, and one sitting chair. There was no usable refrigerator, just a mini bar. The was only one suitcase rack situated in the closet. We had to use the sitting chair for our other suitcase. The beds were not too comfortable. Also the pillow case did not completely cover the pillow, so your head might rest upon the exposed portion of the pillow where the lasts hundreds of guest placed their heads. Bathroom was OK but a bit smelly. The shower had low water pressure. Some water will leak out under the shower door to the floor. Stepping over the high tub with a slippery shower floor is a bit precarious. Internet speed was 3.81 Mbps in both upload and download, with 8 ms latency. The location is near the chocolate museum and a good pizza and pasta restaurant is nearby. The cathedral is less than a mile away. At almost 400 euros a night, it was very expensive for a poor experience. Perhaps HN stands for “Not Happy.”

Just an absolute great experience staying there easy to find from central station. The staff are very welcome in. Everything we requested before we arrived. Was there just the overall great day and a great great location. Definitely want to stay there again. Would recommend this to anybody.

I'm a Steigenberger fan. And this was my third stay at the Köln hotel. This year, it was clear quality of services and amenities dropped, from the collapse of the computer system right at the start of Gamescom, to long waits to speak with staff. The hotel needs more seasoned hands on deck. Staff is helpful & friendly, but overworked. Not happy with the half glass wall that separates part of the shower from the rest of the bathroom. It's a poor design that leaves the bathroom floor wet. Get a proper sliding door in place or a shower curtain. The bottom of the bathroom door showed clear signs of water damage. Also, don't flag all your green initiatives when you offer non-recyclable metal pods for the Espresso machine. Breakfast was great, parking nearby, love the location and neighborhood. But the hotel felt shabbier and service slide was notable from a year ago.

Ich habe für eine Nacht im Hotel Spiegel gebucht und würde es auf jeden Fall wieder tun, wenn ich geschäftlich in und um Porz unterwegs wäre. Ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze vorm Hotel. Ein etabliertes Haus, das von den Eigentümern mit viel Liebe und Herzblut geführt wird. Ein herzlicher Empfang mit allen Informationen, die für den Gast wichtig sind. Mein Zimmer .... groß, lichtdurchflutet, gutes Bett, sauberes Bad. (leider Teppichboden) Das Frühstück ist im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Hotels - erstklassig. Eine große Auswahl an Wurst, Käse, Lachs, Marmeladen, Obstsalat, hausgemachter Nudelsalat, Jogourt und Panna Cotta, frische Rühreier, frische crosse Bäckerbrötchen ... mehr geht nicht. Der Chef selbst bringt den Kaffee an den Tisch. Man frühstückt an Tischen mit weißen Tischdecken u. frischen Blumen. Der Gast ist hier wirklich Gast und die Gastgeber verdienen ihren Namen. Danke.

The Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. This made showering an unpleasant not to say dangerous encounter! You judge if this Hotel deserves the five star rating. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

Tolles Apartment mit mega Blick auf den Rhein. Man kann bis nach Köln und ins Siebengebirge schauen. Tolle Verkehrsanbindung, in der Innenstadt ist man mit dem Auto oder der Bahn in ein paar Minuten. Alles sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Vollausgestattet Küche. Mein Hund war auch willkommen. Das Bad war sehr schön, man kann beim Duschen auch auf den Rhein schauen, aber natürlich kann man auch ohne Blick duschen und es gibt Jalousien. Ich kann es nur empfehlen
