The Inn at Weathersfield

When we arrived at the Inn we were given a brief tour and some historical information. While this was very informative we would have rather gone straight to our room as we had a long journey. The owners may want to rethink this and provide this on the first morning. My girl friend knew the previous owners and there was no information that this was under new ownership which most locations of this type announce on the website somewhere. Our room was located on the second floor and the only way up there was a steep narrow spiral staircase. Anyone with a disability or who has round getting a would want a room on the ground floor. We were disappointed to find out that our electric fireplace was not working and the owner said they were going to have an electrician repair it.Not done during our stay. As the weather was chilly it would have be nice to have this amenity. We went outside to sit on the porch and when we turned on the gas for the firepit that wasn’t working either. A little basic quality control would have solved both issues quickly. Our dinner there the first night was excellent and there was live music. Our breakfast the next morning was average , nothing special. They have a coffe station set up for self service and both mornings we had to request cream as there was none set up. When we requested cream, instead of bringing a small pitcher to the table, the waitress brought the pitcher from the coffe station and told us she had to return it .There also was no option for decaf. We both had the pancakes. Our dinner the second night was disappointing. My girlfriend ordered the ravioli with fennel balsamic pumpkin seeds and arugula. The presentation was five small raviolis buried in the arugula. I ordered the tomato fennel soup and it was like plain spaghetti sauce. I also ordered the shrimp add on and was presented with 3 small shrimp. For the price the portion was paltry. I mentioned it to the waitress and she brought the owner and he offers me a 50% discount on the shrimp only after trying to justify the price. On a positive note, the special cocktails we ordered were first rate.. This is a beautiful Inn in a prime location in the fall. The owners and staff that we talked to seem to only be focused on the weddings they have and not the everyday guests. Sadly we will not be returning.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Inn at Weathersfield. From enjoying the incredible dinners, delicious cocktails, comfortable beds and late night bonfires, the Inn did not disappoint! Ivan and Peter were so lovely and made everyone feel like we were at home. 10/10 recommend!

I never write reviews but I had to for the Inn at Weathersfield! Ivan and Peter provided such amazing hospitality and went above and beyond with our families crazy requests, large dinner parties, fire pit games, and happy hours. Coming here always feels so homey and it’s the perfect, quaint little inn for anyone. Also not only was the food fantastic, but the drinks are AMAZING.

We went to The Inn at Weathersfield to celebrate our 30th Wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. From the warm welcome and a lovely bottle of sparkling wine waiting in our room to the 5 star dining and craft cocktails, from the lovely grounds and peaceful setting to our own private deck and cozy fireplace with the honeymoon suite our stay was perfect. Ivan, Richel, Petar, Greta, and the chef went above and beyond at every turn to make our stay perfect. This is our new favorite home away from home and we will be going back again and again.

Great place to stay. People and facilities are wonderful. Peter and Ivan were so kind and thoughtful. They covered every detail. The food is fabulous. All servers were kind and efficient. They literally set up the wedding tent and then dismantled it like Ninjas! It was very laid back and relaxing with every need being met. I highly recommend this Inn to anyone planning a wedding, a family get together, or just a peaceful weekend away. The grounds are stunning.

We enjoyed a peaceful 2 night stay at this lovely historic inn. We arrived on a Sunday and made advance reservations for dinner, which was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the included breakfasts each morning and the gracious hospitality from the owners. While Monday is a day that many establishments in the area are closed, we enjoyed a visit to the Saint Gaudens National Historic site and sculpture garden followed by Simon Pearce factory and store in nearby Windsor and a tasty lunch at the nextdoor Harpoon Brewery. Monday evening took us on a short drive south to Springfield, VT where we enjoyed a film at the amazing family owned Springfield Cinema.

We loved the Bowers Room with its view of trees. Quiet, old, huge country inn as you can see in the pictures. We saw lots of firewood ready for fall outdoor fires on the patio - very inviting. Breakfast in the sunny dining area was filling and well done. Thank you to our hosts whose tour made the stay even more special with the history of the house.

We have become regulars at The Inn at Weathersfield ever since it came under new family ownership, and it has truly become our favorite escape. Enjoying one of these craft cocktails out on the porch is a treat we look forward to each visit. Nature lovers will be in paradise here. The inn is surrounded by beautiful forests and trails, perfect for hiking, or simply enjoying the tranquility of nature. The new owners have done a fantastic job maintaining the inn’s historic charm while adding modern amenities and comforts. Their warm hospitality and personal touches make every stay feel special. It’s clear they are passionate about providing a memorable experience for their guests. Whether you’re a foodie, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a relaxing retreat, The Inn at Weathersfield has it all. Highly recommend!

Poor or terrible. It's a tossup. The pictures showcasing the Inn and rooms on the Inn website do not represent reality. The Inn is completely rundown. Did not want to stay the night but no other options. In addition, the room written descriptions are misleading and disappointing. Upon check-in, no help was offered with our luggage. The staircase to the room was very steep and narrow. Lawsuit waiting to happen. The Inn keeper was more interested in telling us about the Inn history than making us feel safe and secure. Literally, his first words focused on NO room updates for over 200 years. Yes, 200 years. Really, I did not want to touch anything. To be honest, there was a small window air conditioner that might as well have been 200 years old. Other than make a most annoying sound, no cooling whatsoever. Just to write this review and relate our experience makes me a bit nauseous. Enough said.
