The hotel is located on a small road, about a 15-20 minute walk from the busiest street. It's a short distance from Zuri. I've stayed at both and each has its pros and cons. The view is still good, and breakfast is decent. The Wi-Fi is mediocre and disconnects frequently. It has its own pier, which is great for watching the sunset. However, it's easy to accidentally end up in a room near the chicken coops; those chickens really crow day and night. I asked the front desk if I could change rooms, but they said they were fully booked. Luckily, Trip.com was very helpful and arranged a room a bit further away, so I finally didn't have to listen to chickens crowing in the middle of the night.

Nice hotel

I stayed here for two nights over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and had a genuinely lovely stay. The rooms are large and spacious, with balconies, and it was refreshing that the minibar prices didn’t feel extortionate. The hotel is only a 5–10 minute tricycle ride into town and the free airport shuttle was extremely convenient. The staff were wonderful and full of Christmas cheer, which really added to the experience. Although I didn’t eat at the restaurants as I already had plans, they looked great. I also loved the jetty — it was something a little different and a really nice feature. Overall, a great stay and I would happily return.

As for the amenities, it’s clear they’re working on upgrades, and we’re excited to see what’s to come. We had a blast playing table tennis, though the balls could use a refresh. One small wish—we’d love for the pool hours to extend a little later! Now, a special shoutout to the dream team: Mund, Gie, Gino, Noel and Sandy—our private tour guides who went above and beyond in every way. They made us feel like royalty! Always attentive, always caring, and full of heart. I even had a minor accident and bruised my leg, and their first-aid response was immediate and professional. This place is amazing, I stayed for 5 nights at the end of my Backpacking trip whilst I was diving for 3 days. The staff are exceptional - nothing is too much trouble. Everything is clean, the food is delicious, the pool is amazing, although a few extra sun loungers wouldn't hurt, and the grounds are beautiful. I loved the little treat they left in my room every evening, they have the little personal details, which set them apart from elsewhere perfected. Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Bacau Bay is highly recommended. Located near the town center. We enjoyed the deck, pool and breakfast buffet. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The room in massage was relaxing. The resort is good for families.

The hotel itself was lovely and the food was good. However, we found the roosters next to the hotel to be very inappropriate and disturbing. We could not sleep properly because they are noisy all through the night. There is no way to block the noise out. We were able to switch rooms, which helped, but if the hotel is running at full occupancy it will be a problem. About 24 rooms are affected by the noise the roosters make. It is a pity that roosters on a plot next to the hotel causes plenty of discomfort for guests. If I was the owner of this hotel, I would certainly do something about the roosters.

Hotel is quite far from town, so location isn’t the most convenient. Also, just a heads-up, there’s a cemetery nearby in case that matters to some. Room was clean and service was superdupermegaexcellent. Easily the highlight of our stay. The spa was great too, just a bit tricky to book since they can only accommodate two guests at a time. There were a lot of bugs around the property. Not surprising since it’s in the province, but they’re not small ones, so others might want to be aware. A big section of the resort was under renovation, so we didn’t get to enjoy most of the facilities. But the pool was very clean and we had a good time there. Overall, it was a nice stay, but I’ll probably try a different resort next time.

Excellent resort! Was travelling solo for a 3-week trip through Philippines and Vietnam, and it was the best resort I stayed in. The propriety is well maintained with lots of trees and plants. The staff in incredible - attentive to every detail, very hard working. I took all my meals at the resort restaurant. Many thanks to Irah and to the staff of the restaurant who were attentive to my every needs, and very friendly. Would recommend to friends and families and would go back there in a heartbeat.

Great location and facilities. WIFI is slow, or no signal most of the time, probably due to the poor network coverage in Palawan/ Philippines in general. Helpful staff.

Good location. There are lots of trikes outside at a fixed price - 30 pesos per person. Breakfast was not topped up, and some items were finished when we got there. I asked for a latte and was charged, thinking it was included in the breakfast. Asked an elderly receptionist about tours and booking of flights, and she was fairly unfriendly.

The Bacau Bay Resort was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was great. A little far from the main town but the staff are helpful to get you wherever you want to go! Really recommend for a relaxing time!!

We spent 2 nights at Bacău Bay resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. A lot of things were under upgrading process when we visited, including the Happy Hour Bar at the Marina, and the restaurant. Some extra charges were unnecessary (charge to rent a beach towel for the day). The dinner variety and quality was poor. I hope the upgraded version is better value for money !
