Las Palmas Hotel

Very secure hotel, family run with great hospitality! Charlie, the owner, is a wealth of information about anything Corozal (and all of Belize, really!). I definitely felt at home there! Most of the town is within walking distance, which was very convenient.

Great AC, private and secure parking, smoking deck for my cigars, and the staff is AMAZING!!! We were safe and off the street and they close the gate at night. The best/safest place to stay in the whole town. Charlie the owner is an absolute gentalmen. Highly recommend!!! **(safest and best wifi we had out of the entire tour of the country)

That place really peaceful. Rooms are clean. There are air conditioner in the room. Location is well, close to everywhere. I'm sure you will like it. It is so close to coast. There are place for spend time well.

Las Palmas Hotel Corozal Town Not a place I will stay again 911765765 I truly enjoyed my time in Corozal. I was there looking for apartments and although I couldn't find anything it was great exploring the town. I had an excellent guide to drive me around. He was born & raised in Corozal so we get to see lots of the area. Unfortunately, the place I rented for the month had a broken AC so I had to find another place quickly. I went to *********** & found Las Palmas was in my price range. It was also closer to the center of town which was a bonus. However, don't let the outside fool you. When we arrived the owner gave me the choice of rooms which was nice. We checked in and due to a tropical storm, we had no internet for the first few days. Once it was back up in Corozal the hotel still had issues getting it back. It's obvious the owners put some effort into the outside décor but the rooms are really run down. The small fridge & microwave worked but were outdated. The bed was the most uncomfortable sleep I've ever had. You could actually feel EVERY spring of the mattress & the pillows were flat as pancakes. The room we stayed in was in between routers so at times I would have to switch back & forth to get the connection to work. After a week they finally offered a different room for the night so I could get some work done. There was 1 person that was really good about cleaning our room and checking in on us each day to see if we needed anything. However, when he was not on duty there were times when no one came to my room. The upside is the property is gated & has a guard on duty overnight. However, I reminded him several times the day before that we would be checking out really early and would need assistance with our bags. When it came time to leave he was nowhere to be found & I had to drag all my bags downstairs myself. I have to make mention that we were in Corozal looking for an apartment to rent. The owner was incredibly helpful & knows Corozal really well. If you need a recommendation he is a great resource. Never say never but I don't believe I will be staying at Las Palmas in the future. Not recommended!
