The ‘Unfairmont’ should be a 4 star hotel:
- the worst restaurant buffet I’ve ever had … the chicken korma for example was just chicken in mayonnaise sauce and the rest was dry mean or no meat such as butter chicken curry with zero chicken in it (inattentive staff so remained like this through our dining) . The restaurant area is small so very noisy with chairs back to back so had to say ‘excuse me’ to diners behind me before moving my chat back to get out. ‘Fresh’ juices are from concentrate too.
- No seats in the smoking area and signs up with diseases on. Not a place to savour a cigar.
- Gym and rooms are than ordinary - Tv in the room too small to watch from the bed

The staff here are so incredibly kind and accommodating. When we first checked in they told us they upgraded us to a bigger room which was a nice surprise! Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working so we let them know and they upgraded us to an even BIGGER room! Overall is satisfied with my accommodation budget. Here I listed 3 advantages and disadvantages.
Advantage:
1. The room is really a classic design and the staff is really nice & helpful.
2. Bath tub is really a bonus with this pricing.
3. The location is nearby the pub & bar area in Makati and there is many restaurant with walking distance. There is also some good massage place with walking distance as well.
Disadvantage:
1. The air conditioning is really an old school version and it is not really cooling the room even the max fan speed + 16 deg Cel. The room noise insulation is not really good as you can hear the door open/close from your neighbors rooms.
2. Due to it is located near the pub and bar area, the environment is not really kids friendly. Definitely is not a problem if you are an adult.

Issue with bed sheets, unsightly mark when pulled cover back, the quickly them.
But had to change rooms ..01 due to noise to the other side, which was great ..05 but water burster in bathroom, about 30 mins into another on 26th floor, but after 10 mins the humming from multiple outside air con units, plus thin glass, then add the vibration of the music from the roof top bar, that wasn't going to be a good night, off another back on 23rd floor - the shower drain wasn't draining.
So rooms stay on 24th or below floors and the same of the lane way and should be fine.

Room is just good for two persons to rest however there is no table and chairs provided if in any case you will be working. We also requested for a cup and electric kettle since it is not provided when we checked in, basically you have to request it (no additional charges)

Surprisingly nice budget hotel in Makati. Nice location, it is near the bus stop going to Ayala or Makati Ave. It is near Teleperformance, where there some fast food and coffee shop, and to Makati Medical Center, if it weren't for the construction it is almost adjacent to where the hotel is.
As for the hotel, the reception is at the 2nd flr. Checking in is fast. There's a couple of iMacs that you can use to browse with. A fixed line hot/cold water dispenser that is available for everyone (just use your own tumbler). You can buy room slippers and toothbrush set at the reception (P 45). I guess it is part of them saving on waste. The toothbrush is wooden and reusable.
For the Twin room we booked, it has a double sized bed and a single bed. There is a folding table near one side of the bed, which is ideal for those who needs to work. Spacious room or just lacks furniture inside. There are bed side tables only. There are no cabinets rather it has a steel corner wall rack with plenty of hangers for your clothes. The bathroom has a bidet and its faucet and shower have hot/cold water. There is a handsoap dispenser and a 3in1 shampoo, conditioner, body wash dispenser -- which is surprisingly not bad. Water flow is strong. There is a wall mounted dryer that is fittingly placed near a mirror. There is no safe in the room. WiFi is reliable. The room is well tidied up.
All in all, I say that the placement are well thought of and it caters to working people. It is normal for guest to check in late after work or after a seminar. This place is recommended.DariMYR 121

I enjoyed my stay at U Hotels Makati. The place is modern and stylish, it has a great ambiance and the staffs are friendly and efficient. The location is good, close to restaurants. They have a cafe located at the lobby called El Mundo Cafe, which offers variety of food. I highly recommend to try Spanish Latte, it's one of the best seller. Over all my stay is 9-10 atleast. Great location, very affordable proce, also the hotel very accessible to all year needs during your stay. The hotel staff we're very friendly and we were accommodated to all our query and needs, though during our stay some parts of the hotel were under renovation and the wifi connection was having some problem, but in general we had a good stay.
