Hotel 5 Bintang Terbaik di Corralejo

We stayed at Secrets Lanzarote in May 2024 and booked Secrets Fuerteventura as a birthday treat for me in July 2024. I was really looking forward to this hotel but unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to the 5 star expectations I had. Room: junior suite sea view. The view is amazing, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and offers everything you need. The maids work hard and in general the hotel is kept very clean which is fantastic. However, we, as non smokers, couldn’t sit out on your balcony and enjoy the view as much as our neighbours kept enjoying cigarillos what felt like all the time. The hotel offered us a different room but couldn’t guarantee that there would be no smoke from others again. Smoking: in general I found this hotel off putting for non smokers. As mentioned above, it would be great to have non smoking and smoking rooms to avoid being exposed. When you walk to the main restaurant, you have to walk past the smokers who have their smoking corners outside the restaurant and by the entrances of the pool area. Guests also smoke at the beach and as there’s always a breeze you can’t escape it. Cigarette buds are in the sand due to this. Pool area: there aren’t enough sun loungers so people reserve and don’t tend to use them until late. On the last day of our holiday the hotel suddenly decided to enforce a non reservation rule, too late for us as we have left and we didn’t use the pool due no sun bed availability for several days. The pools itself are freezing and not 24 degrees. They need to be heated as Fuerteventura is a breezy island and it cools down in the evening so the pools will never reach a comfortable temperature unless helped by heat. Everyone I saw in the pool said it’s too cold and it was reported to the pool guy but he can’t do anything about it. Secrets Lanzarote was a bath tub in comparison and I spent a lot time in the pool there. The hotel could also invest in new pool towels, they have seen better days. Food: we only ate at the Buffett, which was great. We tried restaurants in town which were great and reasonable priced. Cocktails: we only tried 2 cocktails from the pool bar and they were very bad. They tasted like they came from a slushy machine, they didn’t as we saw them made in front of us but they weren’t very nice unfortunately. The Cocktails in town for 8€ were amazing. I really wanted to love this hotel and come back again and again but we decided that the price point is far too high for a hotel with freezing pools and sun bed wars.

What a fantastic holiday! We went for a 5 night stay over half term, which coincided with Halloween. The amount of effort the Activ team and all the wider staff went to for the Halloween experience was phenomenal. Face painting, spooky tunnel (which was scary for the adults too!) and themed food made it feel really fun. I loved all of the pool classes run by the activ team, who were also brilliant with the kids in the evening too. Plus the morning dance/wake up call was a fun addition. The food was great, and it was a nice touch to have table service for the drinks at lunch and dinner. The evening entertainment was of a really high standard every evening we were there. Our rooms and the wider facilities were always clean. The pool was lovely and warm and a pleasure to swim in. Every single member of staff from those doing maintenance to the waiting and bar staff, to the housekeepers to the entertainment team, were all working really hard to make our holiday special and took real pride in their work. We hope to be able to visit again one day.

We arrived late afternoon on Tuesday the 22nd oct. The welcome by reception staff was warm and friendly check in was quick and smooth. Our room (2288) was clean and very spacious the view from the balcony was just of other rooms and the back view was of out buildings and the tennis court and although we do prefer a scenic view we are rarely in the room so it’s not essential to us. There are no sea view rooms as far as I know so a pool view room would be too noisy for us anyway. The room had air con and worked well. The pool area is a bit cramped and you get the usual people putting towels on beds which is annoying but we just expect this now when travelling anywhere in Europe. The biggest downside to the pool is it’s freezing my 5 year old could only manage 10 min stints, we came to Fuertoventura in April but in the south of the island the pool was heated and made a huge difference and we will definitely book a hotel next time with this in mind. The pool could definitely do with a bit of a makeover the liner is all crinkled so doesn’t feel great on foot. The majority of the sun beds are old and worn so pretty uncomfortable. We did end up at the beach more than at the pool. Location is really good 5 min walk to the shops bars and restaurants. The transfer only took 30 min. When we went to the southern part in April the transfer was 2 hours and there wasn’t a great deal going on outside of the hotel so we definitely will come back to corelejo We was all inclusive and the food and drink was ok. We do always book all inc purely for convenience with our daughter during the day. Breakfast was probably the best with a decent selection. Lunch was also ok but we tend to really only have salad or something light so never an issue if there isn’t a a great deal of choice. The evening meal was not to our liking for us the choice was minimal. We personally would just prefer local cuisine but totally understand that the hotel has to cater to the masses. we just ended up eating out most nights which again for us all inclusive is a base and prefer to eat out anyway. The kids mini disco was great for our little girl the animation team are lovely and friendly. The guy behind the bar was always upbeat and made us feel welcome especially taking time to interact with our daughter. I’d read on some of the reviews that staff could be rude I can personally say not one member of staff was rude or dismissive. We had a very positive experience with all the staff I guess if you are respectful to them they are to you? Unfortunately the only rudeness we came across was from British people! Manners go a long way! I’m English myself and it baffles me how some people live up to the “brits abroad” name. All in all we really enjoyed our trip I would say the hotel is more 3 star plus than 4 star. After reading the many reviews I can honestly say the apartments are ok for the money. Do not except 5 star they are not but they are clean, the supermarket and pool bar are very reasonably priced. We were given a 2 bedroom apartment which has huge with the biggest balcony I have ever seen. It was very quiet and had everything we needed for our stay. The apartments could do with a coat of paint and attention, but they did not spoil our holiday. The pool however is freezing! Be warned.

We stayed with a friend in a private room in a rooftop room. It was very nice, clean, and we had our own terrace! It was mostly quiet. If someone cannot stand noise than dont book this room as 2-3 times a day loud music was coming from the resort nearby (only short time, it was part of thr daily animation for the guests). We were surprised at the beginning but then it became part of our life :) The staff in the hostel is very friendly and easy going, the room was good sized, comfy beds, will be missed!
