Camina Suite and Spa

The city of Cortina is out of a storybook; both quaint and upscale, with an understated European elegance. The Camina Suite and Spa hotel perfectly reflects this gorgeous town tucked into the Dolomites. The hotel is conveniently located just a short stroll away from the town center, making it easily accessible to all the shops and restaurants without the bustle or noise. This charming small hotel has been fully renovated and offers ample-sized suites and bathrooms, perfect for families or couples desiring plenty of space. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Fredrica and Laura ensure that every detail of your stay is pure perfection, whether it's restaurant, spa, or excursion reservations, and Nicola in the restaurant is a delight, making us look forward to seeing him every morning. The warmth and hospitality of this charming hotel truly left us delighted and looking forward to returning to enchanting Cortina.

A really fabulous place to stay. Everyone very friendly & very helpful. Private transfer to the slopes ( and pick up ) was so nice. Lovely breakfast. Beautifully appointed rooms. The walk into town ? About 12 mins. No issue. Needed more sun and better visibility !!

My family and I (2 teenagers) traveled to Cortina D’Ampezzo for a three night stay to explore the Dolomite area. Camino was a perfect stay for our family. The ambiance of the hotel was a mixture of Nordic modern and alpine rustic.Our rooms were ready before the check in time. The rooms were extremely clean with a lovely balcony. They have a wonderful spa level with a sauna and steam room. It’s a 15 minute walk to the town center , but the trail is behind the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. There is a hot menu a la carte for breakfast and a delicious option for a quick breakfast. Dinner was delicious much better than “in town” dood at tourist areas. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

We stayed at this adorable boutique hotel in the Dolomites for almost two weeks on a fantastic ski trip. Our room was super cozy with a touch of elegance, the perfect spot to chill after hitting the slopes. The service at the hotel was top-notch all the way through our stay. The best part was definitely the amazing dining experience. We went with the half-board deal and had the most delicious multi-course dinners. Shoutout to our cool waiter, Nicola, who always made us feel right at home during dinner and breakfast. All in all, our ski trip to Cortina was epic, with stunning views and a really sweet hotel. We'd totally recommend a stay at Camina Suites for anyone visiting the Dolomites.

Tough one - very fine hotel but perhaps less than it expected. Firstly, a hotel title "Suite and Spa" should actually have a spa worth noting, but that was not the case here - a small sauna, no hot tub and no pool. Please know that coming in so that your expectations are properly set. Once expectations are managed, then the hotel can be enjoyed for what it is - a very nice, family-run hotel with nice rooms, nice views (though hard not to in Cortina!) and a competent kitchen. Firstly the rooms - very plain and undecorated, but spacious with modern bathrooms and a nice balcony. The views (at least from the roadside rooms) do overlook some built land (and a road) but really the view is a great look at Tofane. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We had half board and both breakfast and dinner were good. As a small hotel (12 rooms I believe?), the breakfast layout cannot support a massive buffet and so there is a small table with the basics (breads, jams, fruit) but a generous menu from which you can order different eggs, cheeses, meats or the daily special (waffle, pancakes and - oddly one day - oatmeal!) Definitely no going hungry as you start your day. Dinners were more well prepared than precious, aiming for good quality, modest portions of a few courses. The daily menu had a few options from which to choose each course, so there was sufficient (though not extensive) variety (and each night was different). The style is squarely local, with a focus on local meats, food purveyors and traditions. The service was provided with warmth. The seating was easy as you are assigned the same table for each meal. Location is worth noting as it is not in the center of town but rather about a kilometer or slightly more away. We chose this intentionally in order to be away from the bustle of the city (of which there was NONE anyway in early October), but it might not be preferred if you wish to walk about town much for shopping, dining or otherwise (and parking downtown is very limited, so walking is a good way to go if you can). On the other hand, this is probably not a great location for skiing - when asked how one gets to the lifts, the answer was to hop on the city buses. Too small a hotel to provide a shuttle service and not within walking distance (at least with skis and ski boots!) to a lift station, additional time and effort would be needed for skiiers. On the other hand, a very nice location for hikers if you have a car and intend to drive to trailheads - easy access to the roads towards Falzareggo and Tre Cime. All in all a commendable hotel so long as expectations are set in the right place.

Out of 4 hotels on our North Italy week, this was the best. Front desk staff great. 2 room suite very new and clean. View from front balcony of castle and valley beautiful. Brunch great service and selection. We opted for our last nights dinner in the hotel restaurant and did not disappoint. Braised veal cheek was home run. Only down side and not worth a star reduction, the road noise kept me up so had to close windows. I like silence. My wife slept through it. Will stay on backside of hotel for our next year's trip.

Camina struck the perfect balance of modern, yet rustic interiors. Our room was amazing. The balcony with the Mountain View was stunning. The spa area was very peaceful. Both dinner and breakfast were perfect and the service of all the staff was top notch!

I really have nothing bad to say about this property. It is so clean and conveniently located. It is an 800 meter walk to the lift up the mountain that looms in front of the property. Above all, the staff is exceptional - very helpful and friendly. Great dining, too. We would definitely recommend it to friends and hope to come back.

We spent two nights here, bookending our 6-day hike in the Dolomites. What we loved about Camina Suite & Spa was that it was a quick walk from downtown Cortina along a pedestrian and bicycle path. We could easily get into town but enjoyed our stay without the hustle and bustle of being surrounded by other tourists. The spa on the 4th floor was a total highlight. The staff was so friendly and helpful, making arrangements for us to keep our rental car there while we were hiking, store our luggage, and making us food to go since we needed to leave before breakfast started. We also ate at the restaurant -- the food was delicious. It is modern and clean and the staff could not be friendlier. Thank you for making our trip so pleasant!
