Hotel Cozumel dengan Sarapan

PROs: Across the street from the ocean and a great shore diving spot. Beautifully landscaped grounds, nice pool, beach club, and open-air restaurant with swim-up bar. Traditional Mexican hotel layout with open courtyards and lanais that have nice views of garden and/or ocean. Peaceful vibe. CONs: Most of the restaurants in the area are overpriced Senor Frog/Hooters-type establishments catering to the drink-and-dive crowd. Restaurants in the north of town and just off Centro are much better quality and value, but require a cab into town. Buffet breakfast was carb-heavy steam table fare which was overpriced at more than $15/person. Restaurants in the US would offer this for free. Front desk staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. When my husband lost his bag in the lobby and they did not find it in lost and found, they did not check for it behind the desk until we asked a second time and they magically ”found” it. A little effort and thought here would have made a difference to us. The beach club is nice but the swimming was much too rough for me (located between two piers and the road, with mostly a view of the cruise ships in front). En general un Hotel muy tranquilo , sin animación , para si quieres un relax total es el indicado , las habitaciones muy bien , me tocó en el 8vo piso y tenía una vista hermosa , el servicio en general bien , solo un poco lento con respecto al Servicio en la playa y alberca , y en los restaurantes, los desayunos muy buenos , con respeto a la comida de los almuerzos y cenas , calidad regular en el acabado de los platos , y si el servicio un poco lento , las instalaciones muy bonitas y lo mejor la playa que tienen está espectacular y excelente para snorkear y disfrutar de todos los peces qué hay , muy hermoso , ya las noches más tranquilas , si gustan más diversión pues salir del hotel a 10 min ya estarás en el Centro , pero en general bastante bien y bueno por el costo pues tampoco se pide más 👍🏼 a seguirle luchando para ser mejores .

Hotel ini berada di lokasi yang hebat. Kami tinggal di bahagian yang tidak dikemas kini tetapi hanya kerana kami mahukan bilik yang lebih besar. Hotel menawarkan untuk menaik taraf kami tetapi kami mahukan bilik dengan tab mandi. Kami menyukai penginapan kami di sana dan pasti akan pergi lagi!

We had our wedding at El Cid. They did a marvelous job. The food, decorations, cake, atmosphere, drinks and of course the wonderful people at El Cid. Roberto handled all the details for us, and he did absolutely fabulous. I would highly recommend for either a wedding or just an all inclusive stay. A beautiful Great Resort!

Perfect location for diving. Next door is a great dive shop -Peppe’s diving. Snorkeling and swimming of the hotel os very good either early in the morning or late afternoon. The view and the balcony is great. Room is clean. Beds are comfortable, except the pillows which are large and not soft. Yoga in the morning was great. Food at the restaurant is quite tasty, even though selection is somewhat limited. Service is very polite, attentive but sometimes slow. 5-minutes taxi ride to town. We walked back - around 25 minutes. Spa is excellent. We enjoyed couples massage and I also had facial. Overall it was a great 8 night stay. We did four days of diving, one day driving tour and two days - work remotely. Internet is quite decent. We managed zoom calls.

Al momento de realizar la reserva contábamos con la información que nos hospedariamos en una habitación con una cama tamaño king size sin embargo, al momento de llegada la habitación que nos dieron fue una de dos camas, cuando realizamos en comentario a la recepcionista, nos comentó que la información de la reservación era solo una solicitud y que no nos podía cambiar de habitación por no tener disponible una como la requerida y que las habitaciones con esas características por el momento tendría un costo extra. Los meseros son muy amables, así como el cantinero y las instalaciones son muy bonitas, la entrada al mar es una sorpresa y las albercas con agua de mar con las que cuenta el hotel son exquisitas.

I felt the price we paid for this hotel was not warranted based on the quality for the following reasons: 1. Shower drain was broken and had a piece of round plastic covering it to protect you getting cut on the metal pieces. 2. Decor is not great. 3. We had to ask for toilet paper a few times as opposed to it being supplied during cleaning. 4. We talked to a number of other people who paid less than half what we paid - in fairness this was my fault. I booked on booking.com and paid what they asked. One couple booked at the hotel and were able to negotiate a price less than half what we paid. 5. It is situated across the street from a night club and the music is very loud. We initially thought it would make sleeping a problem but fortunately it didn't bother us at all. 6. Smoking was allowed on the patio during breakfast. On the positive side: 1. Staff are great. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff are very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast staff will cut up fruit for you if you ask. Miriam was a favorite for us because she spoke fluent english. 2. The place is very clean - they are cleaning all day. The pool is cleaned regularly - but is quite cold. I liked it this way actually. 3. It is close to the downtown plaza. 4. The AC works really well. 5. They have two hotel cats. :) This could be a negative for some people. 6. The bed is very comfortable - we had a king sized bed which was fantastic. The bedding was changed frequently - I think every other day. The bed is made up every day. Overall I would stay here again but would expect a much lower price.
