Hotel Riu Touareg - All Inclusive

Grande resort in posizione isolata ( a 35 km dal paese Sal Rei ) ma su una spiaggia lunga e bianca .Tre piscine e lettini gratuiti ache in spiaggia con ombra di palme. Molta gente ma basta cercare di evitare gli orari più affollati per pranzo e cena ( il cibo è di media qualità adatto soprattutto a clientela nordica ). Ottima pulizia e cordialità del personale.

If I could do 0 stars I would most definitely we have had one of the worst stays, food is cold they most definitely need to check the temperature on food even with the heat lamps on as this can cause sickness and then what has just happened tonight is the last straw, basically we came back from our tea at 9pm and we noticed that in the bathroom where the air conditioning placement is was leaking and starting peeling the paint off from the top of the roof, we rang reception and they brought out a technician to fix the issue he emptied a large amount of water but even after he had gone and a cleaner came in to clean the mess from the floor it was still leaking so we then rang the reception once again baring in mind that they said they would call us back to see if the problem had been sorted which it hadn’t they offered us another room the number for that room is 3210 the room was in an absolutely appalling condition and honestly disgraceful to say that they are meant to be cleaned and secure isn’t even close to what we had seen in that room from blood on the toilet and floor to there being multiple bugs everywhere the sofa that had been split and not fixed to the air conditioning unit being very loud and the fan to the point we wouldn’t have even been able to sleep in that room and the smell was horrendous like an old sweaty gym room mixed with cigarette smell as there was an ash tray in the room and it had appeared to have been smoked in and the fact that the fuse box was open when we went into the room in my opinion is very unsafe as well as the door being able to open from outside without the key and the safe for your personal belongings was in overall poor condition so my partner went back to the reception and got the key back for the leaky room where we felt more safe and clean even with the fact that the room is leaking

Is very good hotel for family and budget friendly too and youu can goo with yours friend and I give you garenty u have fun thera

Day 7 of our 10day holiday, I was absolutely panicking reading the reviews. we booked this holiday before I found out I was pregnant and came with our 5month old but I shouldn’t have worried! The rooms are simple and open plan the shower opens directly into the room so share with someone your close to but the air con is great, the beds comfortable and the travel cot they provided is great. Food has been good, yes the restaurant gets busy but the resort is huge and there are a couple plus others you can book. I’m veggie and it’s been ok for me. The staff have really looked after us with a table always ready. Pools are great and the entertainment staff are friendly and start the day with a dance followed by games and aquafit. We’ve needed to get up to put towels down as it’s got busier but even later there are sun loungers available we just want shade for the baby. They are salt water pools which is weird but you get used to it. We brought our own cups after reading the bar ones are small and the staff are happy to fill them. We’re also requested plenty of water in our room to fill our Milton steriliser and had no issues we always have 6bottles left. Overall great holiday and we would recommend it to anyone

We have stayed here one week all inclusive, after reading some reviews we were apprehensive of what to expect. Decided to judge for ourselves, The hotel is spotless the staff are friendly, welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Food is fresh with cooking stations, cooked to your liking. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. Don’t listen to negative reviews, try for yourself, WiFi throughout hotel Did two trips while here 4 x4 which was really good and the sunset dinner which was amazing We can’t wait to come back next year

We went to the Rui touareg in Cape Verde on the 11th October for our honeymoon. We had a great flight and when we arrived at the hotel we found it lovely. The staff were very helpful and the room although outdated was fine. We had great week in Cape Verde but then on the last day my wife was extremely ill with severe diarrhea and stomach cramps and fever. We flew back but she had a terrible flight as she was so ill. When we got back to the UK and she went the doctors and found out after tests that she contracted the shigella virus, she was off work for an entire week and still not recovered fully and i have now caught the virus from her and I am now suffering the same symptoms. It's a real shame that this happened as the hotel was great but since getting back I have found out that a lot of people have also reported the same issues so we won't be going back. They obviously have a problem with food hygiene as we noticed flies landing on buffet food and in retrospect we should have avoided the ice in drinks as well This is not a case of gastroenteritis it's been confirmed by our doctors that it is the shigella virus so be careful when visiting this hotel and take precautions. As I said before it's a real shame and the fact that we are newly weds and have came back to over 3 weeks of sickness since returning from the hotel.
