Hotel berhampiran Hill cart road birding area ( Paglajhora area ), Darjeeling

Istana is one of the best hotels, I have visited. Me and my family had went on a trip to Darjeeling. There we stayed in Istana. This was one of the best trip I've had because, I got to stay in a delightful resort. Even though the extra beds and blanket provided in the room unfortunately weren't comfortable to sleep in, however the place was very peaceful and was located in a great place, the rooms were pleasant and clean, food is excellent , as well as the room services, seeing that everything was neatly arranged and managed it gave us an appealing vibe, the ambience of the place gave a homely and relaxing feeling, which made us feel much devoid of any worries. I was more than delighted to meet the staffs since they were very friendly, attentive and people who were very committed to their job. I picked up a few names of the staffs within the hotel who are Alex, Sarroj pradhan, Digendra thapa who were very generious, flexible and polite. I personally liked how the hotel not only focused on the outside but paid attention to the details. I believe that this is one of the best retreats I've been so far. I can truly vouch the service that was more than welcoming Overall i had a great experience and would surely recommend this hotel.

Anna ,Anuka both are very good and very careful and Responsible. My family thanks to both are ..and food was very good and all seaf was very humble and friendly we are very happy to stay in Hermon. Staff are very polite and courteous I recommend all tourist if u r in Darjeeling must be visit summit Hermon hotels and resort.. Specially meet Anna her service was awesome....

The staff are very accommodating and warm, and location is perfect - it's a 10 min walk from the mall but is high enough to have a stunning outlook that places on the mall don't see. We actually had some medical issues during our stay here that prolonged our trip, and the team were so understanding and flexible, helping us keep our room on level 6 as long as possible (we recommend this room, best view!). Delicious breakfasts too

We had a very good stay in a very affordable price. The hotel location is also great. Big, spacious room and bathroom. Very big bed. Bedsheets could have been cleaner.

We were in total 3 couples with kids and booked Kanchenjunga Suite. The rooms were good with a great and clear view of the Kanchenjunga range. Rooms had a good oil heater provided, which kept the room warm. The rooms were also very clean and tidy. Highlight of the resort was the food, we loved the food here. We were non vegetarians but we still did not crave for any non vegetarian dish because the vegetarian food of the hotel was awesome. Kudos to the chef. The staff there were also very friendly and polite. There is a taxi stand near by and the hotel can arrange pick ups and drops. They give you unlimited RO water at no cost, Darjeeling tea and coffee are also replenished daily. The only con that I found was since there were central heating geysers, the hot water took time to start in the bathroom. But rest everything was really great, would love to stay at this hotel again. One of best hotel in darjeeling to stay between the beautiful mountains, the view of hills/mountain from window balcony is also awesome. Food is also excellent. All staff are very friendly and cooperatives. Tour package from hotel is also awesome.

Everything is ok but hotel room doesn't clean everyday and room service is very bad. Tv is working fine but subscribe only minimum pack where no hindi channel is available.
