Kolakham - the Himalayan Retreat

Service, food and drinks all excellent. The greeting, restaurant setting, layout etc made us feel special. Starters, and main course meals were all excellent quality, very tasty and well presented. We moved to an outdoor seating area for after lunch which was a lovely setting in the rear garden/courtyard. The seating in terrace (Hawaghar) with 360 degree view is mesmerizing - the staff were very accommodating. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are large, clean and very hygienic.

Behaviour is bad. Insensitive. Very poor service. They don't have the electricity. Solar power could not run whole home stay. Frequent power cut on rainy day

Excellent homestay with all the necessary amenities. Situated in a strategically superb location, only this homestay has a viewpoint which has stunning view of the valleys of mountains. This homestay has a large collection of succulent plants which decorates the entire homestay. Only 1. 75 km from change y water falls, one can easily truck through the silent valley to reach the waterfall. Stuffs are all well behaved.

It was a good stay. Problem only food and road condition. Both are horrible. Hot water view points and only satisfactory.

We received warm greetings at arrival and customized care throughout our stay. They were constantly available to help with any inquiries or offer insightful information on the sights and things to do in the area. They provided delicious regional food with genuine flavors from the use of fresh products from local farmers. The Himalayan Retreat offers a range of activities for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. There are several options, such as taking guided treks ***** picturesque paths, visiting nearby monasteries and temples, or simply relaxing in the vast outdoors. One can spend hours admiring plants in their well decorated Patio and Plants nursery or spend time painting rocks at their Art Studio, buy souvenirs, play musical instruments, enjoy board games, access library, karaoke and even rent local dresses. This retreat promises a revitalizing experience, whether you decide to meditate in the peace and quiet of nature or just relax with a cup of tea on the terrace.
