Darlington East (Morton Park)

5/5 We stayed for a long weekend visiting family Great price, free parking The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It (just about) had enough space for two extra beds for the children. We opted for the breakfast deal (which we would not usually do but are really glad we did). The breakfast was great. Good variety of food (cooked, continental, eggs, fruit and freshly ground coffee). And all good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful (special mention to Tracy) We will definitely choose here again when visiting our family.

Great hotel in terms of value for money. It's comfortable and well located but it's the staff that make the place what it is! So friendly and welcoming, especially towards the kids. There is always some kind of activity set up in the room for the kids to make it interesting for them.

We arrived on Wednesday early evening and were greeted by a lovely young lady , she asked how are journey had been ,and checked us in . She also told us to make sure we registered our car every time we went out as not to be charged by the private firm who runs the car park.Our room was nice and clean with tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer.The shower was in the bath , you also have shower gel and hand wash supplied,I found the bath a bit high for me to get in and out off because of having difficulty with my knees , but I managed with husband’s help .You can book accessible rooms , I’m just fiercely independent and think these rooms are needed by people who have worse mobility than me . We found the hotel perfect for our needs and the staff are all wonderful and nothing is too much for them .The hotel has a beefeater restaurant attached to it , we ate here ,food was good and reasonably priced .So if you don’t want to spend a fortune, we would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We booked here for the night after we went to Yarm to see Elkie Brooks. Great welcome and a superb room with a comfy bed and spotlessly clean. Great nights sleep. Breakfast was brilliant, again polite courteous staff lovely hot food. Can recommend

Easy enough to get to just around the bypass. Restaurant attached was busy but seemed to deal with the busyness. Seemed like a busy hotel which appeared fully booked but I didnt hear much noise through our stay and had one of the best night sleep I have had in a while.

Often stay at Morton Park every month or 2 when having to stay over for work but this stay the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was settled in for the night as it was a last minute stay. A big thank you to Christine and Steve C who went above and beyond to make sure I was checked in and sorted with nothing but kindness and good customer service. Also rooms are always good and clean and affordable.
