Elea Beach Hotel

Good points first Friendly receptionist large room plenty of storage nice shower Not so good paper cups for tea /coffee in room no milk no soap in soap dispenser in bathroom shower plug clogged with hair dirty fan dust on phone Food 1 cant really comment as day 2 i had bad d&v and was confined to bed we didnt eat in the restuarant after that , when i talked to the tui rep about it she basically said its all over corfu !! Entertainment there was a sign at reception saying they were having a Greek Night but it turned out to be a band nothing greek about it at all and that was the only entertainment for the whole week we were there !! I appreciate it is the end of the season on the island but we really did expect a better stay at the 4* hotel needless to say we wont be returning to the elea beach hotel

Just returned from a 4 day vacation. This is my opinion , I have included quotes from other guests as well. First the good points. We were upgraded ( thankyou ) to a superior triple sea view with large bed and a single bed,an enormous furnished balcony the view was fabulous . Good shower , usual toiletries. Decent towels , changed every day, bedding changed once . There was a kettle and tea and coffee but no cups or spoon . Our cleaner did a decent job. General cleanliness in and around the hotel was spotless. Well done to the cleaners. Found the sunloungers quite comfy round the pool. Reception staff pleasant and very helpful. Hotel is well placed for leisurely strolls. 2 super friendly dogs, and I dont especially like dogs . Bad points. We were AI and felt like second class. Noise in the corridor and from room next door horrendous, paper thin walls.Must be really bad in summer when hotel is full .Other guests said the same about their room. Not especially the hotel staffs fault. Used the pool bar for lunch on ONE occasion, chips/crisps included on the "seperate menu" for all inclusive, oh no, no chips/crisps left but if we were to pay hmmmmmmm. Waiter who made the toastie didnt wash his hands or wear disposable gloves . Noticed hygiene was lacking in some areas in the restaurant also. Basic hygiene. Food selection was poor, (choice had apparantly got less and less --words from guests who had been there for quite a few days prior ),and was often cold. I suppose we went late , 8PM........ No atmosphere at all, at times just maybe 8 of us in .Felt like I was being watched all the time by the older guy in the restaurant, who was quite rude to a guest who was showing me how to use the coffee machine,I resorted to coffee as the orange juice was vile.. Breakfast was the best until the one and only toaster disappeared . Back to hygiene, we were informed by a few guests of a virus going round the hotel. Indeed a receptionist admitted it. We used our own sanitisers and also a disinfectant spray given to us by departing guests. Unfortunatly my husband still became ill, virus or bad food , who knows . Bar and restaurant staff miserable, we put it down to end of season and them being tired Beach wasnt really our thing, nice to hear the waves but sunbeds too tight and uncomfortable. Spoke to a family who remarked about the lack of a toilet near the beach, they had 3 children. Apparently the nearest toilets are in reception , unaccesable if you are wet . We had a decent time at the hotel, enjoyed relaxing by the pool, even managed to get in a few times, going for strolls along the seafront promanade and inland . The view from our room was the high point ,as I said it was fabulous even on an evening seeing all the lights along the coast all the way to Corfu town. Hopefully 2025 season will be succesful for the hotel as it certainly has potential to be very good. Best wishes.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Food fine. Room good. Decent location. Let down only by poor quality of evening entertainment - not surprised most guests went to bed at 10.30. Too quiet for me, and I'm 70. Not too far to walk to bus stop for 30-40 minute ride to Corfu Town, buses every 20 minutes 2.50 Euros each way. Beach pebbly but fine for swimming. Plenty of loungers available.

Absolutely loved the hotel. The room was very comfortable and was overlooking the pool and the sea with a private balcony. The bathroom had a great walk in shower. The staff were amazing, so helpful, particularly Georgia on reception. The 3 pools and grounds of the hotel were lovely with lots of sunbeds to find a shady spot and it was fabulous that there was only a few steps to the beach with more sunbeds with umbrellas. We will definitely be back. A real find on the beautiful island of Corfu!!

On arrival the hotel looked very nice from both outside and inside. We were given a side sea view room which was a good size but a lot of the space was taken up by bunk beds in the room. Bathroom was adequate as was the balcony. The daily cleaning of the room was minimal. The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach, although the beach was pebbles, sea shoes required. The daily aqua fit in the sea was very enjoyable with many people joining in. BUT the biggest disappointment was the food. Breakfast was ok with eggs and bacon available. As we were half board we planned to alternate lunch and evening meal but after trying one evening meal we decided to eat out the rest of the nights as the food was overcooked, Luke warm and not very appealing. We tried a couple more lunches but the food was just as bad. If we were to come again we would use this hotel but on a b and b bases.

I have mixed feedback for this hotel. The location is fantastic. It is right beside the beach and the water is warm and beautiful for swimming. You need shoes to enter, but then you reach a sandy bottom. The staff at reception were excellent and they did everything possible to help customers enjoy their stay. They were professional and helpful. The outside areas around the hotel are very nice. There are 3 pools. The pool beside the hotel door only has 4 umbrellas to give shade, making it necessary for guests to get up before sunrise to reserve them. One morning I got up at 7am and they were all gone. I had to get up between 5.45-6.30am to reserve one, which is ridiculous! The hotel needs to invest in more shade around the pool. I did request more umbrellas, but the security man was reluctant as he said the smaller ones would blow away in wind. The sunbed policy needs to be reviewed. Is it fair that people leave towels there all day, even when they are not using them? Breakfast is good and there's a good choice. However, there is no fresh orange juice. Instead there is a drinks dispenser, where my son could get cola, fizzy lemon etc at breakfast time. I'd recommend getting ridding of this and having one or two choices instead, including fresh OJ. I also thought the coffee machine was a bit wasteful, where every customer has to use a single capsule to make their own coffee. A pot of brewed coffee (that gets replenished) would make a lot more sense. The only cereal available was covered in chocolate. The addition of plain cornflakes would be helpful. We tried dinner there twice, but it was very disappointing. It was like eating in a school canteen. Nothing was hot and the meat and fish were dried out. The a la carte section looked the same. Again, less is more and other customers felt the same. A few dishes done well would be much better than a huge selection of non appetising or dried out food. It would be good if eating salads only. We found alternatives every night after that. The restaurant Andreas (next door) is nice. We booked a family side sea view room. Our room only had a view of a carpark, with some tall trees and a tiny bit of sea in the distance. The opening was at the end of a wall in front of the bunk bed, so it felt quite dark, like a cave and was nothing like a photo of the room we booked. We were given a new room on day 4, so we had to move everything, but this view of the sea was fantastic and the opening was in the middle of the wall, so it felt light and spacious. Cleaning was a problem and I had to contact reception twice. The first time I requested cleaner sheets - and the second time the shower was flooding, as it wasn't draining. The technician came and showed me hair in the drain and told me to be careful. I hadn't even washed my hair there and didn't want to see that. The cleaners should be trained to check and clean the drains, especially when people check out. There was hair on the bathroom floor a few tim
