訂了3間房都是連住3晚，5月新開的，如果是自駕，可以住這邊，停車方便，去古城等中心地帶12公里左右，雲岡石窟好像是10公里內，如果沒開車我還是建議住鼓樓區域，步行或者打車解決。
服務員工作很認真盡職盡責，早餐等對於快捷酒店的標準肯定是達標的。
大同來了感覺很舒服，天氣，城市人文秩序，覺得以後還會來。
最後想説，其實我們住酒店，花多少錢選什麼位置都是成比例的，尤其是假期旺季，成比例就是滿意了。

The hotel is really good and convenient. It's in a walking distance from the Ancient City and Walls, there are several small shops and local food stalls around it. The breakfast is completely Chinese style, but it's good.
The gym is very small, in fact, not even a separate room, just very few machines, but it was not that important for us.
Personnel are very helpful. Everyone did their best to make our stay comfortable. Especially, the manager Kristina - she is very kind, helpful, assisted us a lot, with some practical things and some advice, when it was necessary.
Definitely, will stay here another time.

If you're only in Datong for a short time then location matters. The hotel tries hard with free canned drinks, welcome dessert and friendly staff but there are no shops next to the hotel at all although you can walk to a local neighbourhood about 700-800m away. The old city wall is not exactly near even if you can see parts of it from your hotel window. There is no subway in Datong so if you're interested in attractions in the old town then you need to factor in taxi costs unless you fancy a bit of a walk in the bitter cold. Breakfast is very local and very substantial.

Stayed here 3 nights with my family. The hotel is close to the high speed railway station.
The guest room is well appointed and comfortable. Cleanliness can do better, there was mold in the bathroom. The bell staff service was lacking, our request to arrange for transport to the
Train station on the day of our departure was denied
The bell hop asked us t make our own arrangements Other than that, all good during our stay.
We would like to make special mention to their Front Office manager, Mr Yang whom we had the pleasure to meet on the first day when we checked in. When he found out that we required a driver and a guide to bring around us to explore Datong, Mr Yang quickly made the arrangement at a reasonable price. He even arranged for the Chinese Restaurant to serve us lunch when he heard that we needed lunch. Lunch at the restaurant was good and we continued to patronise thoroughout our stay. We must compliment the great service rendered by all day dining and Chinese restaurant service teams.
Thank you, once again to Mr Yang for going his extra mile to serve us. Your hospitality made our stay at Yungang Hotel so memorable.

YYanyYanI am from Malaysia, totally obsessed with this place and location, the person in charge, the lady explained to us the story and the history of this 2000 years old building Old Pipa ,I know is the old building with historic but didn't know the much story behind until I Google it, very appreciated that we still able to enjoy such a beautiful and well maintained room and building . The room come with a/c,hot shower smart toilet bowl, slipper and toothbrush and kettle. Breakfast is good. Love it. Hope people that come to stay here spent some time on the architectural and antiques that display in the duilding. Will definitely introduce to my friends and family if they visit 山西。

Very clean, very modern. Lovely rooms and great staff. Excellent customer service. But, the wifi was terrible, only 10mb and this impacted a number of planned meetings. Coffee machine at breakfast didn’t work well and breakfast buffet was a bit crowded. Ithink wifi struggled because hotel was full of customers. Mostly tour groups.
As long as you don’t need wifi this is a great hotel

PPumpkinyuan地理位置優越，比較熱鬧的地方。轉角就是公交車站點和點評榜上的知名餐飲，華嚴寺九龍壁都是近在咫尺。
辦理入住時告知應特價房安排的是副樓，要走出主樓的，在後院隔壁的一棟很不起眼的樓房，感覺就是被區別待遇的那種，心裏還是不太舒服。住一樓，窗户有的但是打不開的，緊靠圍牆（好像沒具體核實）隔音比較差隔壁開關門以為是自己房間。
有一説一，還好房間裏的床比較舒服，床墊軟硬度正合適我，床上用品也是比較柔軟嶄新的感覺舒服。有歡迎水果盤，水果也比較新鮮。

The room is very big, the bed is comfortable, and the shower hot. I was very satisfied given the price paid. The reception is not great the looking, but the room is good and, once again, worth the price.
The location is very near the ancient city wall and near bus stops that will take you anywhere (Hunyuan, Datong South Railway, etc). There is meituan and alipay bikes nearby as are bus, but you just walk to the city walls. I would definitely return as the price was very good and everything else standard.

GGeorgeI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

VVSTWe enjoyed our three nights stay in this hotel. Quiet and clean except for some not so pleasant smell from the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. This includes the free pickup transport driver, the front desk staff and the janitors as well. The breakfast provided by the hotel was so delicious and nutritious, too. We enjoyed the three mornings breakfast with different menu for three consecutive days. The chef and his wife were also very cheerful to see us enjoy their cooking. 👍👍👍👍👍
This hotel is located near to Datong South Railway Station. If you are using the public bus, there are five buses passing through :#68,#66,#61,#31,#14.
Bus #68 & #66 also go to the city. The traveling time from the hotel to the city by public bus is about ½ an hour, ticket price is 2 Yuan each. It's only 20mins by taxi, 15-20 Yuan.
There are also some eating shops nearby...

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though.
Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

SSuishichuzou房間雖然不大，但洗浴間在房間內實在太方便了，老板娘人超級好，提出问題都立刻处理，有蚊子立馬給电子蚊香，要吹风機也立馬給!
在大同古城裡，去許多的景點特別特別方便，古城本身不另收費，只有比較大的景點会另收門票，吃東西/買東西特別便利，只是古城內不能租腳踏車騎行，在房間內和其他床友交流特別有趣，能有第一手消息。
特別介紹有家在二楼的刀削麵館特別好吃!ㄧ樓是漢服出租店喔!
