Lors de notre passage à Dijon en France, en septembre 2022, nous sommes demeurés une nuit en cet établissement. Très bien situé au coeur de la ville, ce gite qui a des allures d'une maison de chambres est des plus pittoresque de par son corridor et son petit atrium ainsi que l'aménagement antique de ses chambres. Notre chambre était assez grande, propre, avec un bon lit à badalquin, un eptit téléviseur et le wi-fi. La salle de bain était très fonctionnelle et il y avait une cuisinette. On y était tranquille. C'est en celle-ci qu'on y pris notre petit déjeuner, lequel nous avait été apporté par la propriétaire des lieux. En passant, cette dernière et ses gens ont été très gentils et accueillant. L'établissement ne possède pas de stationnement mais il est facile d'y trouver une place sur la rue, lequel est payant le jour mais non la nuit. Le Petit Tertre nous a charmé...

We checked in yesterday (02 Jan 2024) for 2 nights stay. The hotel seems to be fanciful but breakfast is priced very expensively at 21€. We wanted to try this new concept of the Accor group anyway so why not? The room was in general clean but to my horror, upon lifting up the toilet bowl cover, I was greeted with a toilet bowl full of yellowish piss that had not been flushed away. That meant that the toilet was never ever cleaned before releasing for next guest.. or the housekeeping took a convenient piss before leaving and forgetting to flush. Anyway, it could be a genuine mistake so let's not make a fuss at this moment. But I was disappointed to see that there was hardly any amenities in the room. No tea or coffee bags with water boiler. There was only a packet of drinking water in the minibar. It turned out that the water was not even replenished the next day. What was funny: there is a sticker on the minibar door that indicates vending machine available on ground floor. But it could not be found. When we asked the receptionist, we were told that the vending machine is still yet to be installed ??!?!? And suggested to us to go to their restaurant bar to order water or drinks instead. No way ! I am not going to pay for pricey drinking water or tea from their restaurant. Not mentioning that the service charge we will have to pay for getting drinking water there. For a hotel at this tariff, I expected at least to have the basic water, teabags and coffee bags available and replenished! At least most of the basic hotels in France offer this. Some hotels would even offered a coffee machine with capsules. It makes us started to look around the room with a more critical eye. Indeed not only drinking water and basic beverages are not offered. There was only a small bar of handsoap and a miserable piece of body soap placed in the shower to be shared by two occupants of the room. Not only that, the next day after housekeeping, the body soap was not replenished at all. We came back into the room to see the previous bar of soap lying there miserably. This is not what we expected from an Accor hotel which is usually a brand we feel confident in. Mama Shelter tries to be hip and fanciful in their loud decor but in real fact is lacking in hospitality by trying their best to save up whatever they can from the basic necessities (soap, drinking water...) Definitely I will not ever stay in this chain ever again. I sincerely hope Accor group will review and see if it fits their usual standards, because I surely don't think so.

Last stayed at this hotel about 7 years ago and chose it again for its location and proximity of available parking. Again it did not disappoint, nice welcome on arrival and easy check in. Hotel kindly emailed us prior to arrival to advise us that the elevator from the car park in Place Grangier was not working till December 2022. An alternative underground car park in Darcy-Liberte has an elevator and is a couple of minutes walk away. Nice touch of customer service. Hotel rooms are typical Ibis Styles, compact but nicely finished and good value for what you get. The hotel had been refurbished since our last visit so did look different. Bed was a bit on the hard side for what we are used to but acceptable. Bathroom is nicely finished with a walk in shower and good water pressure. Perhaps not many men wet shave these days, but the poly marble sink did not have an overflow so consequently no plug, so I had to have a shave under hot running water. Not an issue but in these days of conservation it is a waste of hot water. Could not fault breakfast which was included in the room rate. Plenty of continental options to choose from with a choice of cereals, scrambled egg and also pancakes etc. Would definitely recommend for a visit to Dijon old town.

Je suis arrivé très tard ! J’ai appelé pour leur dire l’heure que j’arrivais, on m’a bien précisé les instructions, pour que je puisse rentré dans l’hôtel, l’hôtel et tout près de la gare , il est très bien situé très propre, et personnel du soir accueillant et sécurisant

We stayed here for a few nights and it was lovely! The location is great, it’s only a short walk from the train station and main square. The hotel itself has a really nice vibe to it - we felt like we were staying in a traditional French stately home! The rooms themselves were spacious and clean. The staff were super attentive too and very friendly. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!
