Romantik Hotel Santer

We had a lovely time at this hotel. We were in the area to xc ski. Nordic ski trails begin just behind the hotel. We booked a suite in the new wing. It was spacious, and simply and comfortably appointed. The food was excellent. Five course dinner had three menu options and you could easily substitute courses from one menu into another. The dining staff was warm, attentive, and efficient-a five-course meal moves along at just the right pace. The spa is not to be missed- we counted at least 5 different sauna areas, an outdoor pool, indoor pool, and large hot tub. Overall this hotel has a great atmosphere, wonderful food and attentive staff.

Beautiful, well appointed hotel in the heart of the Dolomites. Excellent front desk staff are very helpful and honest, being flexible for us to accommodate luggage store, helping transfer, and when we were back through town days after our stay - even permitting us to shower and change there! Food is good overall. Dinner is excellent and can accommodate vegan. Very impressive wine list. The spa looks expansive and we regret we couldn't squeeze it into our schedule before or after our stay. It is an easy walk to charming Dobbacio from the hotel, and an even shorter walk to the train station.

We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant because we had a celabration. The restaurant is mentioned on local maps, and the description on the website was inviting, so we asked to book a table the day before, but were told immediately that the restaurant was closed for external guests, however the website of the hotel invites all people to come by. Strange...

We had a good-sized deluxe room facing away from the busy road on which this hotel is situated. It had all the amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel, with the exception of air conditioning. In really hot weather, you may not be that comfortable, especially as there are hundreds of flies ready to enter open doors or windows. Superb bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice deck area. The housekeeping and room cleaning each day was outstandingly good. The breakfast was very good with a large range of choices, and everything fresh and excellent. Parking was easy and good. There were some negatives: while many of the staff were superb (especially Kathi at breakfast) some of the junior staff did not seem well-trained and seemed flummoxed by simple requests (in English or in German). The a la carte dinner menu for those not having the half board option was in our view inadequate: an odd, limited selection of small plates, bland food, poor value. We booked on *********** and half board was not offered. Not allowed to select that option once there, presumably to create an advantage from direct bookings.

Sono cliente da anni del Romantik Hotel Santer e anche quest’anno ho trovato una struttura molto organizzata, personale gentile e disponibile. Ho richiesto una variazione della prenotazione iniziale e ho trovato massima disponiblità nella receptionist e in particolare nella persona del signor Jurgen. Un grazie a tutto il personale che come sempre si è contraddistinto in gentilezza ma sopratutto in professionalità

E’ la terza volta che soggiorniamo in questo hotel ed è sempre un piacere . Bellissima spa e bellissime le escursioni in questi splendidi luoghi . Un grazie a Maurizio che ci ha accompagnato con le ciaspole a Malga Troger . Torneremo sicuramente !!
