this hotel was so handy to the main roads but quiet enough to not think you were in a built up area. Hotel itself was lovely and clean. Staff were always very helpful and food was very good. Breakfast had plenty on offer whether you wanted hot or cold. Swimming pool was lovely and clean too and you can go straight to it from the lift on your floor which meant you could change in your own room for convenience and leave your valuables in your room. Plenty of towels there to use also or pick up at reception before hand. We would go back

Good location but otherwise tired old hotel, long overdue complete refurbishment. Faded carpets and pictures in the halls. No fridge in standard rooms ”to save the planet,” but apparently, superior room occupants are not so concerned. No safe in rooms. Bathroom with green and gold coloured tiles from the 70's/80's had cracked floor tiles with blackened grout from years of water on the floor. Glasses on request, but they wouldn't deliver to room. Body cream on request was so old that it had liquefied. Rooms are only cleaned on request, and they don't tell you that on the reservation or at check-in. Then chambermaid knocked and opened door without waiting, despite ”DO NOT DISTURB” sign. Very poor breakfast with basic rolls and cheese/ham; allegedly broken toaster miraculously reappeared after two days of complaints but still had to ask for bread. You cannot economically repair an old toaster so it was obvious that the reason why it was withdrawn was to avoid having to put out bread. Scrambled eggs on request but no sausage (is this Germany??), bacon or beans. It's definitely not worth €14. Save money and go to one of the many coffee shops nearby. The so called ”cosy bar” is actually at reception and I never saw anyone there. In 4 nights I only saw 2 other guests at breakfast time, which was not a big surprise. This is a poor excuse for an Accor/ Mercure Hotel. There has to be better value in Dortmund.

Ich war schon in vielen Hotels allerdings hat dieses Hotel alles übertroffen. Die super entspannte und freundliche Art aller Mitarbeiter und Vorgesetzter versprühen eine extreme wohlfühlende Atmosphäre. Hier sind die Menschen nicht nett weil sie es müssen, sondern weil sie es wirklich vom Herzen meinen. Man fühlt sich so, als ob man bei Freunden nächtigt und alle schon kennt. Danke dafür, im März sind wir wieder bei euch ! :)

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Unsere Zimmer: die Größe des Einzelzimmers war ausreichend. Es gab sogar einen kleinen Balkon. Das Doppelzimmer groß! Eine kleine Sitzecke „rundete“ das Ganze ab. Auch hier war ein Balkon vorhanden. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Auch unser Wunsch nach gutem Wetter wurde erfüllt. ;))

Lovely hotel. Warm and comfortable, excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are spotlessly clean and serviced every day, staff work so hard and are all very friendly. Would definitely stay here again, it has everything you need for a nice stay.

This was our second stay - the hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are great. Breakfast is buffet style and the offerings range from hot breakfast to cereals to typical German and international dishes. There's plenty seating available even during busy times. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have its own parking garage and as last year we ended up parking in a parking garage in town. The car was safe there, but it is about a 10 minute walk. The hotel has a designated parking garage which we were unable to locate due to building work/road work in the area. Much of the area around the hotel is restricted or ”no parking”, so be aware that you may get ticketed if you leave your vehicle unattended. The hotel gives easy access to the Phoenix See (Lake) with its restaurants, sculptures, and a few shops.

Een vroegtijdige aankomst werd spontaan opgevangen door het vriendelijke personeel en konden wij gelijk in de ruime, schone en moderne kamer. De badkamer was helemaal prima doordat er ook aan de langere mens is gedacht, super. Tips werden door het personeel gedeeld over de stad en 's ochtends een lekker ontbijt dat ook buiten gegeten kon worden. Dit werkte zo relaxed dat de uitchecktijd gemist werd, ook dat is geen issue. Een hotel met de juiste mensen aan boord. Top! Groet N&S

Stayed here while attending Dortmund football match. Location : Great location, literally around the corner from main shopping district with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Great area. The underground train station is around the corner and the main train station about 20 mins walk or less. Rooms: Our room was nice (117) we had 3 in our party so the room had one double bed and a pull out sofa bed which was a double. It left the room with hardly any space to walk around so was quite tight. The decor was nice. However the seal on the window was damaged so you could actually feel the breeze getting in (during snow weather) The tv had only one English Channel so wasn’t great. BE WARNED check if there is any party’s or function on in the hotel if you are staying in this room as there was a party on while we stayed and literally felt like the dj was in our wardrobe the music was that loud. Singing and talking could even be heard clearly. I did say it to girl in reception the next morning and she apologised but literally got no sleep until music stopped. Bar/Food: We did not have dinner in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment. Restaurant decor was ok, very 1920’s feel. There is a very small bar that usually only opens from 5pm-12pm however one of the days they opened for us to have a drink at 3:30pm which was no bother for them, they were very nice and a special mention to Ben the new Barman from the UK. He’s great! Breakfast wasn’t great, but that may be just us that’s used to Irish style food. Not much hot food on offer, pancakes and plenty fab pastries though. If going to a Dortmund match : We travelled to Dusseldorf airport and got the sky train into the main train station on to Dortmund €16.50 each one way. It was difficult to find out correct trains ect as very bad signage at airport and trains so do your homework before you get there. It took us over an hour to figure it out. Train journey from airport was 50 mins. We got a taxi from our hotel to signal iduna park and it took 8 mins and costs €14. Easy to get taxis after match too which was surprising.

Erstens muss ich sagen, dass die Mitarbeiter im Hotel allesamt sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend waren. Das Zimmer war schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber geräumig und sauber. Die WC-Anlagen, welche sich am Gang befinden, waren auch sauber. Das Frühstück, im günstigen Zimmerpreis inkludiert, war gut. Es gab eigentlich alles, was man braucht - Brötchen, Aufstriche, Käse, Wurst, Orangensaft, Kaffee. Die Lage des Hotels ist auch sehr gut, man erreicht in wenigen Minuten sowohl das Stadtzentrum als auch den Hauptbahnhof zu Fuß.

Mooi hotel midden in het centrum van Dortmund. Kregen eerst een kamer op de 6de verdieping, maar was niet schoon, dit doorgegeven bij de receptie en we kregen een andere kamer, deze was wel schoon. Matras van het bed, was hard, maar voor een weekend goed te doen. Wat ik wel miste, was een molton op het matras, laken lag gelijk op het matras, hoofdkussen zacht. Douche was keurig met handdoeken shampoo en zeep. Ontbijt, meer dan genoeg en zeer goed. Auto kon je in de parkeergarage onder het hotel kwijt, wel aangeven bij het boeken. Vanuit het hotel, sta je gelijk in het centrum. Personeel is vriendelijk
