Hotel Omorika

We have just arrived home after a Thursday-Sunday break here at this hotel. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable, the shower room flooded easily so you had to be quick but that is the only downside to the rooms. We stayed in Annexe block 7. This holiday would not suit the elderly or disabled as there are ALOT of steep slopes and steps. The food was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. But be warned if u eat outside, the seagulls might help themselves 🙈🤣 also there wasn't really much advice for people with food intolerance and allergies. We would stay at this hotel again and I just wanted to leave a positive review as after reading the reviews for the hotel a week before we left, I was concerned......but no need to be.

Very good position, near the city centre and the beach. Renovated rooms with balconies and modern facilities. Very reach breakfast with various foods, very tasty and reach. Kind stuff. But the shame: dinner is fool of cheap and untasty, mostly fried food.

This is a 1 star hotel at max. The guy at the reception took our IDs when we checked in. We kept going back every hour to check if we could get our IDs back. He only gave us back our IDs after some hours because he needed to process them. The guy was rude and not polite. 3 of the 4 pools are closed and not maintained at all. The only one open was very small and filled with noise toddlers. The garden hasn't been maintained in years. Don't use the elevators. It's hot inside and it sounds like they're going to break every minute. We waited for minutes on the elevator to go to the 6th floor before we heard a small kit got stuck inside. The buffet is a mess, the food is cold and stale, the restaurant is hot and noisy. There are moist stains and broken tiles throughout the hotel. The only terrace they have is very unpleasant because of the reverberation of the sound (children running around, playing air-hockey and shooting pool) and because of the cold white light. Parking is a mess. You need to enter the hotel with your luggage from the back. There is an old long staircase at the front. You need to park in front of the hotel because there are not enough parking spaces in the back. However you need to have a key to open a small gate in front of each parking space. These get lost often and it takes them ages to find the right key. Please do yourself a favour and book another hotel.

The rooms were clean, daily room cleaning and towel change. Lots of open space, The beach is amazing. Many varieties of delicious food, the service is excellent and the staff are very cool individuals.

Second time to this hotel, awesome food, nice people, exept blond lady at reception who needs to learn how to talk to tourits, but the other people from reception were very nice and polite who gave me very good information of the area. The room was clean as we espect. As far as I remember last year the dinner was starting at 18.00 , now the change to 19.00. The beach was more croudy then 2021 , probably because of pandemie. The beach beds cost 150 kuna/day. The hotel was working to finalize 3 pools more in the hotel property.

Let's start with the positives, which are only a few, though. The room is pretty nice. You don't even need a beachfront room to have a beautiful view out of your window. Even the side rooms provide panoramic views of the sloping hillside and of course the beautiful sea. What is also good, is that the balconies are separated from each other (so you don't really interact with the neighbors) and there's a sun blind to shield off the sun from the room. Inside the room, there's probably just about enough space, although it could be slightly bigger. The transformer bed is super, though - with the extendable parts ideal for small children. Food selection in the restaurant (at least for breakfast and dinner) was pretty Ok, even with some local dishes. However, there're some big problems with the service - please consider these as 'negatives' below: Parking - obviously too small for the amount of visitors coming by cars. Judging by the other comments and reviews, management are clearly aware of the problem, but appears not to care about it, leaving the problem to the visitors to deal themselves. Looking for a parking space nearby is also a headache, because it's all apar**ents around, and of course there're visitors, too. It all results in the fact, that once a spot is found, people tend to keep the car there during their whole stay - instead of driving around the beautiful countryside. Dinner - every evening, there's a huge line winding down the staircase to the restaurant. With the dinner starting at 7, people start to line up as early as 6:30, and the queue remains there during almost the whole time... Also the buffet has no separations or sections' divisions, so once you come for food you don't really know in what part of the (huge) line you should sneak in for the food that you like to take. Again, it's obvious that the management acknowledges the problem, but doesn't do anything to solve it - we were literally told "you don't need to start at the beginning, just squeeze in between the people". But it's impolite and against our personal values. In our opinion, it could be improved by starting dinner at least from 6 pm - to stretch the flow of guests and let the early birds leave first. Otherwise, it's a nigh**are experience, so we don't recommend booking half board in this hotel. And there's no coffee machine there - not at all! Just pots with black coffee and milk - first time we see such thing in a 4-star hotel. Not for the restaurant, but about the bar: we were quite shocked when the barmen used tap water for a cocktail that we ordered... Staff - We found some of them quite unfriendly, however there were some nice and smiling people, too. Lifts - only 2 working lifts for a tall building with many visitors, which results in chaos during the peak times. Swimming pool - very small, only fits children, but not suitable for adults. Also not nice that people are allowed to smoke there - especially if you consider it's mainly children there who hav

The room was reasonable and well equipped but the staff went above and beyond to help us. We were there for under unforeseen circumstances and the front desk staff really helped.

This hotel has 4 stars, but they do not deserve it. The rooms were dirty all the time and the food choice is very poor for 4 srar hotel. The maids enter the room eveey day although we got do not desturb panel on the door. The safe in the room opens with 4 zero code. Overpriced

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Buffet breakfast and buffet dinner was amazing with great selection of food and wine and beer included. The inside of the hotel is nicely renovated, rooms are clean and beds super comfortable. Location is great for families with kids due to its close proximity to the beach with many activities for kids - adventure park, trampolines, obstacle course.
