Hotel berhampiran Miniaturladen ＂Elektro Könner＂, Dresden

We were in town for the Christmas markets which is one of Germany's best. Well, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay than here. The hotel opens directly upon the central square which is where one of the markets is located. The other major market is just a few steps further across the street. Unfortunately, we weren't given a view room and our room really didn't have a view, but it was comfortable with all the amenities you might expect. We were traveling by car so a big plus was the underground public garage with direct elevator access to the hotel.

Communication with reception workers as a English speaking person not quite good. There is need to have an English speaking reception worker. No shower caps in the shower, little interaction with guests..... Rude reception lady (short one) when spoken to in English- her respone was like - ”i cant undestand what you are saying” in a rude manner. The tall lady and gentleman were very polite and hospitable. when i was finally leaving, just past five minutes after check out time, some worker at the door checking on me yet i was just about to get out, already packed. He told me the same reception lady had sent him. That was rude... Give a guest like 15min to leave as you have the whole afternoon before the room is occupied again. on saying bye to the reception lady she didn't respond. could be racism as i am from Africa i guess. Poor lady receptionist..... I was just a traveller not a resident and nothing to lose from her attitude.... I would not recommend the hotel again knowing she's still there. need for extra training i guess or ouright racism. no dinnner made even for purchase outside booking terms, quite low in that.... not good for traveller with kids due to that..... The room was good though, clean and serene, breakfast excellent, excellent service at breakfast time by staff in the kitchen

This hotel is very modern and clean. Nice rooms. Great staff. Would have given 5 stars. But there is an issue In the washrooms. There is NO place where you can put your shower gels in the shower. Excepted the bottom floor of the shower itself. As you can see in the photos this is a huge issue for elder people and a possible hazard. Seniors can not bend so far down to pick up the shampoo or shower gel once they are in the shower. And there is no alternative to put them somewhere else. It’s a big risk for falling when you have to bend down so much. The hotel must install small shelves in the shower, so people actually can place the shampoo etc on it. This is critical.

The information is a bit misleading, the hotel is quite agood bit out of the town centre. Probably a 25 minute walking quickly. We, both 80+, needed a taxi to get to the start of the hopon-hopoff bus terminus. We only discovered when we arrived that the resuarant was not open due to alterations. Fortunately the very helpful receptionist ordered us a takeaway pizza and sugested we relax with a beer until it came. She was the first of a succesion of charming staff we dwelt with. Our room had good hanging and shaelf space but somehow did not strike one as being well designed. The bathroom on the other hand was. There is no fridge but has tea/coffee and kettle. We had a blocked basin, a handyman arrived very promptly and cleared it. There is a marvelous backery and coffee shop across the road in the Rowe Building, and a small supermarket. For a great evening meal and a wonderful view ask the hotel to book you a table at one of the restuarants in the Yenidz. The old cigatte factory almost next door.

Ein sehr spartanisch, im Jugendherberge-Stil, ausgestattetes Zimmer. Im Hotel wird noch umgebaut. Baulärm war nicht zu hören. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Die Betten sind bequem, das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und sauber. Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht. Fazit: Als Zwischenübernachtung oder ein Trip nach Dresden geeignet, für einen kompletten Urlaub würde ich ein Hotel mit mehr Comfort vorziehen.

I love how they are very flexible and understanding with my situation. I was meant to go to Dresden for a vacation but the airline left my baggage and had to wait in my current destination (the one prior going to Dresden) for the luggage delivery hence messing up my itinerary that ended up me cancelling my entire Dresden trip. I appreciate they agreed to have my booking cancelled and fully refunded. Meant a lot and would definitely book Ibis hotels since they have my back when things get awry.

This is an outstanding hotel. It is located across the street from the train station, but is incredibly quiet. The place is immaculate and the interior design is very well done. The hotel was remodeled in 2021 and it looks brand new. Staff was very attentive and fluent in English. The room was decent sized for a European hotel. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel after checking out so we could tour Dresden before taking a train out of town. It's one of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in recent years

decent internet speed and wifi coverage. rather small room, but it (+ open access guest kitchen) had all you need. Glad thta this area not as tightly populated, so we could find free on-street parking 10m from entrance, instead of paying for parking to hotel.

Lage ca. 30Min mit der Straßenbahn von City entfernt. Hatten Geschenkgutschein von Animod (2 Nächte für 149€).Da es unser dritter Geschenkgutschein von Animod war wussten wir schon, das uns nichts Besonderes erwarten wird. Verlängerungsnacht kostete 99€ zzgl. Steuern. Preis-/(Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Zimmer (Südseite) sehr heiß. Keine Klimaanlage. TV sehr klein. Kein Kühlschrank oder Mini-Bar. Cocktailsessel knarrte entsetzlich laut bei der geringsten Bewegung und wurde nach der 2. Reklamation ausgetauscht. Dusche war defekt. Duschkopf rutsche immer wieder runter in Brusthöhe, da Befestigung gebrochen war. Zweimal reklamiert, ohne Erfolg. Duschgel/Shampoo nach erstem Tag leer. Wurde nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Toilettendeckel (Unterseite) wurde in den vergangen Jahren wohl wenig gepflegt. Kunststoff ist mittlerweile uringelb. Abgebrochene Schrankscharniere wurde durch Rollladengurt ersetzt. Knusprige Brötchen kennt man dort nicht. Rühreier zubereiten muss auch gelernt sein. Eier hatten jeden Tag sehr feste Konsistenz. Hotel hat 2 Speiseräume. Ein kleiner Raum, Restaurant genannt, ist für durchreisende Gäste und ein Raum für die im Hotel untergebrachten Ukrainer. Wegen dem knappen Sitzangebot für durchreisende Gäste musste man sich täglich bereits am Vortag entscheiden, ob man im Zeitfenster 06:30-07:30 Uhr, 07:30-08:30 Uhr oder 08:30-0ß9:30 Uhr frühstücken wollte. Am letzten Tag wollten wir um 06:30 Uhr frühstücken. Störung in der Elektrik, kein heißes Wasser für Kaffee oder Tee. Die Küchenmitarbeiterin wollte Restaurant schließen. Als ich bei der Rezeption dann 20€ für 2 Personen forderte um im Bahnhof oder Speisewagen zu frühstücken (hatten Platzkarten und mussten pünktlich am Zug sein) ging die junge Frau mit nach unten und erreichte, das wir frühstücken konnten, aber ohne heiße Getränke.
