The hotel is very close to the airport but very far from the city and/or beach life. They don’t sell alcohol which is okay but I just didn’t know prior to booking. There are two pools, one open during the day and the other at night which I think was cute. I enjoyed my stay there. Very nice hotel for a quick stay before your next flight.

Great stay with clean and beautiful room. Wish the shuttle to and fro airport would have been timely and easily accessible.

It has been a fun & relaxing long weekend for me and my friends at Grand Mercure! I made two bookings separately and in separate days but they managed to grant my request for an interconnecting room. Despite the large number of visitors due to the holiday, the amenities are not as crowded as they have two pools although one is open from 8AM-3PM and the other 3PM-10PM. Pool towels are only available from 10AM onwards though 😬 Breakfast is really good too. We stayed for 5 days and the variety is great that we're not fed up by it even on our last day. They have a live egg station, with continental food and middle eastern as well. They have cold cuts, salad bar, and pastry section as well. They also have a nice coffee machine with various kinds of coffee and their staff are very attentive to accommodate all the guests. Best time is from 7-9AM. We once went at quarter to 10 and it was really crowded by then. As for the room, of course it did not disappoint for a 5-star hotel. It's equipped with its own coffee machine and coffee pods, towels, ironing board, iron, slippers, and set of toiletries. There was a problem with the chromecast in the tv but their engineer was amazing enough to lend us an external adapter and HDMI cable for our entire stay. I bought my own adapter as they said they need to collect it the next morning but they graciously left it with us for the rest of our stay and didn't bother to collect it. It's good to take note that Grand Mercure and Ibis (which is in the same building) are both dry hotels and do not offer alcohol. The nearest pub is in Millenium Hotel around 5-10 min away. All in all, we definitely recommend Grand Mercure and always come back here whenever we need a relaxing staycation. Thank you Grand Mercure! 🌟

Very near the GGICO train station, also nearby the bus stop. Two bus stops away from Terminal 1. Convenient and very sustainable set up. Breakfast is great as well. Staff are all friendly and rooms are superb!

Amazing stay, so clean and Luxurious Bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever been in. Pool on rooftop is warm too!

Good access and easy for get public transportation, near the airport and have wonderfull pool, staff in front desk was very helpfull.

Upon check in, we felt unpleasant, no warm welcome or anything, the receptionist Jenny was so unfriendly, she does not smile or engage at all. The staff professionalism is poor and does not meet the requirements of a 5 star hotel. Thank you to the concierge, i think his name is Richard and the other bellman, they ensured all our needs were met. I stayed for 7 nights and was not impressed at all.

Check in took alot of time , breakfast had limited options , pools were great and shuttlr services to different locations were a big benefit

The hotel itself boasts a fantastic rooftop pool, which was the cherry on top of an already delightful stay. The level of care and hospitality I received has left a lasting impression, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai. Chef Ram graciously went above and beyond by preparing an additional dish for my breakfast each day, which was absolutely delectable. Should you find yourself at the hotel, do take a moment to speak with him; his culinary expertise will undoubtedly enhance your stay with an exceptionally delightful experience! A very convenient hotel with easy access to airport. However customer service was below standard.

Nice hotel and location is good, just 1 metro station to be there….Then walk 5mins.

Overall, it's a good hotel. The bedroom and the bed were comfortable. The staffs were polite. But some disappointing drawbacks degraded the premium feeling that I should have had due to the price paid and the hotel 4 stars. The breakfast was generous but no self service coffee machine was available. If you want an espresso or anything but the low grade coffee from the pot, you'll need to ask for it. Unfortunately it's not advertised and some customers will not dare to ask for it. The room service could be improved: several times, the towel sets or the water bottles were not resupplied after the room was cleaned. The free access rooftop terrace and swimming pool were extremely appealing. From there, the view on the nearby Dubai Airport (DBX), is spectacular. There are several restaurants, fast foods and mini-marts near the hotel, but do not dare to bring back your McDonald combo or any other personal food and enjoy it on the hotel rooftop terrace. You will be quickly reminded by a security guy, appearing from nowhere, that no external food is allowed there. You will have to go back to your room to enjoy it, it's allowed there... From the hotel location it's convenient to visit the old Deira. To access the city downtown it takes approx. 30 minutes by taxi or more by metro. Count on a solid hour to reach Dubai Al Maktoum airport by taxi.
