Premier Inn Dublin City Centre (Temple Bar)

Whilst not strictly in the Temple Bar area the hotel is in a great location for a lot of Dublin`s attractions. We paid 200 euros for Saturday Sunday night accommodation, which for the centre of Dublin is great value. On arrival we were offered for an additional 49 euros 2 X 2 course dinners with 2 drinks and 2 buffet all you can eat Breakfasts for the following morning which was excellent. The room was usual standard comfortable, clean and everything we required. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. I would certainly recommend the hotel for a visit, and we will certainly be returning.

We booked the premier inn as a last minute deal, I can highly recommend, Brilliant location, friendly staff, perfect for what we needed, breakfast was great value, £13-99€ for all you can eat including tea, coffee and juice, we will definitely be back.

I was already familiar with their hotel chain, so I was sure that I would have a very comfortable bed and a great breakfast, these expectations were amply met. In addition, I found a very friendly and helpful staff. The only flaws were these: when we arrived, while waiting to check in we used the bathrooms near the reception, of three that were there, one was without a door and two were very dirty. After checking in, in the room, our toilet seemed to have been used or that the cleaning lady had not flushed. Also, for the entire duration of our stay, the bathroom ventilator never worked. Last thing, the electrical outlets: we had very normal universal adapters, but they banged with the outlet switch and so it went out, only the one by the bed was fine. On the second day, out of desperation, we bought 2 adapters just for ireland which obviously being smaller, did not bang on the switch! But aside from these little things that can be easily fixed, the hotel is very good value for money, very well connected and, as mentioned above, incredibly comfortable mattresses, and unlimited breakfast (paying extra but less than any outside the hotel) both international and continental. So, when it happens again to stay in other cities where there is a Premier Inn, we will definitely stay there.

The room was a fairly good size, the hotel itself was clean. Throughout our stay only one lift worked for the majority of the stay but this is a small inconvenience however when we have tried to make a coffee on the first morning, one of the cups had a large crack that I didn’t see due to the orientation. As we have made the coffee, the hot coffee began to rush out of the cup and the only thing we could do was grab one of the glasses to catch the coffee and try to stop it from burning us. We made reception aware of this and asked for the room to be cleaned and put the sign on the bedroom door to confirm. This was never done, we tried again on the second day but again the room wasn’t cleaned so we gave up and had a cup we couldn’t use and coffee all over the tray we had tried to clean. Very disappointed that the room or cup weren’t sorted especially after showing the photographs to the reception staff.

We stayed in Dublin for 3 nights, the rooms were clean and well stocked. The hotel is really well situated between Temple Bar and Grafton Street which makes it really easy to get around. Polite and friendly staff, checking in and out was also easy!

Very pleasant hotel, very clean and very welcoming staff, great location for Dublin City Centre as most places are in easy access to the hotel or a very short walk. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out. Great breakfast but evening meal menu is limited, so really need to eat elsewhere in the evenings so there is more variety for all. All staff were very friendly and accommodating, would stay there again if I revisited Dublin in the future.
