This would have been PERFECT except that on our last night, it sounded as if there was a track meet going on in the room above us. Ground floor room had a great view of the the lake and just steps to the boardwalk. We were.there to watch big ships come & go (husband thing) and couldn't have asked for a better location. Room was large and very clean...with new flooring, great windows that opened, and a comfortable bed.

Easy check in treated to view of lake Superior. Hotel is 6 floors the rest of the tower are condos that have private parking under building. Hotel guest get to park in lot and walk 10 minutes thru tunnels and up and down elevators to get to front desk, parking is 700 a day it's dingy, broke down car hogging up two spaces, local construction crews park in here and drive like they are at a race track . Lobby bar has decent drinks and wine by the glass. Food not good slim selection.... walk a block away for huge selection of really great food. Nice pool and work out area. Beds comfortable, tile floor in bathroom was filthy had to wash it down before I could go in there. Executive lounge has good breakfast, nothing in evening, fancy coffee machine that doesn't work reliably.

We checked in and the front desk lady was extremely rude. The hotel REEKED of smoke no matter where you went. Not to mention people were engaging in illicit activities. We could not bear the smell of smoke and felt unsafe so we left letting the hotel know that we would be contacting priceline for a refund. The manager, Jodi (read the reviews and her responses on here and it will let you know everything you need to know about this woman) refused to refund. We proceeded to check-in at another Wyndham property in Duluth that told us they have had countless guests that had left this Super 8 and came to them. They also let us know that our story is one of many they have heard regarding shady things happening out of this hotel. I can't wait to see what her BS response to his post is going to be as well. I had to contest with my credit card company to get my money back because Jodi lied to Priceline and told them that we were making everything up. DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL COSTS. I want anyone to stay FAR AWAY.
