Econo Lodge

They canceled our reservation then gave us another room. No breakfast like the website said. No coffee in the lobby like the website said. Towels were dirty. There was a mouse running around our room. Lady at the front desk was not very nice. Will not be staying at this hotel again.

The Econo Lodge at Durant was terrible. I did not check reviews before booking it. Big mistake! We checked in and there was a $50 additional damage deposit. (Reviews say many people don’t get this back.) We get to the room and I pull back the spread and find stained sheets and a hair!!! 🤮 Addionally, there was a straw wrapper on the floor. This is just really poor house keeping and in addition to the stains on the sheets they were dingy color. Then the water in the shower was reversed so if you wanted very much pressure, you got colder water! I will say when I checked out and showed her my pictures she voided my deposit, so there is that.

DO NOT STAY HERE. this was one of the WORST hotels i’ve stayed at. smoke free room? yeah right. my mother and i checked around the room before we got settled in and there was a cigarette burn ON THE SHEETS. that’s not even the worst part. my mother checked under the beds as a safety precaution and there was a used cigarette UNDER THE BED. the floor had so many crumbs, especially under the bed. the bathroom reeked horribly. they also charged us the pet deposit ($50) even though we didn’t have a pet, and we stated this. we’re supposed to get the deposit back but i’m not so sure. if you have to stay in durant for something, go anywhere else but here. also, someone supposedly got killed here as well a few years ago. another good reason to NOT stay here.

Worst place I've ever stayed at. False advertising all the way around. Looks NOTHING like the pictures on the website/app. The room was filthy. I was charged a pet deposit... didn't have a pet...There was no continental breakfast nor coffee in the lobby. It was even set up for that anymore. It looks like it was removed precovid. There's no seating area in the lobby as pictured either. There's an overgrown "garden" where the pool used to be and it looked trashy. Our door didn't close all the way, and flies kept coming in the room. The bedding had stains and cigarette burn holes. We found trash, crumbs and a cigarette underneath the bed in our "non-smoking room". AVOID THIS PLACE. Spend a few more dollars and stay across the street. Even the Uber drivers we had said that they did not like the place and that it was super sketchy.

Stayed here because halfway decent price - but should not have. Prices changed every day - not just online but in office. First room was totally unacceptable, the floor floated, the room reminded me of the Bates Motel. The clerk on duty was nice and found a better one for us that did not make me feel scared or sick. Advertises breakfast but there was not even coffee in lounge. The phone had sticky stuff on the cradle. The only good thing about it was - no bugs. If ever in the area again this will not be our choice.

Does Norman Bates Motel give you a creepy feeling? Well Econo Lodge of Durant OK will do the same. You would be better off pulling off the side of the road and sleeping in your car. It is an older motel but tat is no excuse of what you find inside. The room started with a bedspread that had a huge burnt hole in it and then there was a bottle of juice left in the fridge but the final straw was the female hygiene product on the floor. When we checked out the arrogant receptionist had us do a walk through the room to ensure no damage. How we could have damaged this room is still a mystery. She then accused us for the burned bedspread but when confronted with the other items she said well I don’t smell any smoke so I guess I will let it go. Do yourself a favor and drive another 30 miles or sleep in your car.

There were not enough towels in the room and one of the bath towels had dirt or dust on it. The floor was filthy, one of the lights didn't work, and the beds were not comfortable for 2 people. Also, there was no coffee in the lobby for the guests. It would have been nice if they offered a Continental breakfast as well
