Great service! Clean hotel and awesome staff. Very accommodating for my team. Will absolutely book again!

I arrived at 3 pm for check-in. I used *********** for my reservation. When I arrived there was a long line of guests at the front desk and 2 people working. Within a minute of getting in line I watched 2 people ask for refunds due to dirty rooms or rooms with Maintenance issues. Room 247 was out of commission for maintenance but was booked. The woman at the counter “Jenny”, made sure everyone knew she was the manager and then proceeded to berate the other person at the desk, very publicly. His name was “Jason”. She announced to the entire lobby of impatient irate people that “he doesn’t check the log book.” After that she yelled at a guest. Literally yelled at this woman. I understand that it was a difficult situation and she walked into a mess. She admitted that the cleaning staff all called in. My guess is that if she is that comfortable speaking to staff so horribly in front of guests she has a habit of being worse when no one is watching. I can’t imagine. The fact that the staff didn’t come to work and no one notified her- according to her is a testament to her ability as a manager. Jason kept a smile on his face and kept plugging along to help people despite her abuse. I got a room with a non-working toilet but couldn’t even make a complaint due to the long line. I went downstairs later in the evening and was met by John. He was very helpful. I’m grateful for the staff at this hotel but unimpressed by the whole atmosphere.

I stayed 1 night in September then again on October 12th. Both stays my room was extremely clean, soft comfortable pillows and bed, and the woman at the front desk greeted everyone with a smile she was very pleasant and helpful. She remembered me when I arrived for my second stay an I got to thank her personally for her help. She gave me the number for a driver on my first stay and with less then 12 hours notice he arrived as stated. Plus when I arrived for my 2nd stay she apologized because she smelled of bleach from cleaning an area in the lobby, no apology needed for doing a top notch job of checking in guest and wanting to make everything nice and clean for your guest. I hope that the company recognizes what a great asset you have with your employee she is the face of your business and she is definitely a caring, helpful person to me and other patrons that I seen personally, she’s an extremely valuable employee. I highly recommend staying here when in the Syracuse area.

Alisa, J was a huge help and a wonderful employee. Great hotel and very affordable, spacious, stove, everything you need for a trip. When you guys go in ask for Alisa, J. One of the friendliest hotel staff I have encountered in my years of traveling.

This Residence Inn is okay nothing special and needs work. The staff was friendly and helpful to me although they seemed new or not really caring or apologetic of issues that occurred to Marriott returning Elite members. Marriotts website says the rooms are newly reflashed. They are not the rooms are hurting they look old and worn. From what • I saw they only changed a few things like the carpets, cabinet doors, new appliances(that still looked old) and the bathroom floor. That's it they definitely did it on the cheap they should of done the it from the ground up. Our room was very dark with dead lights and lights that just did not work. Our bathroom sink was clogged to. So we went down to the front desk asking if maintenance could come and fix some things. I was told there was no maintenance on property but I could have the tool to unclogged the sink. I sad no that's not right to have me do it(I am above a Elite member). So we got another room again this room was very dark but everything did work. It was missing the TV remote but I got one at the desk. I guess my point is this hotel has a big maintenance issue and I would say some issues without staff on how they treat returning members. The hotel is old and it shows and a lack of maintenance the place will just continue getting worse. It was very clean and did not have any bad smells. The location is okay it's not fair to the city, stores, SU but there is nothing to do around the hotel grounds. Being said stay at this hotel if you want a big room some kitchen amenities but don't expect a true Marriott experience or service and a badly renovated room.

In my opinion, there is not a whole lot on which to recommend this hotel to anyone, except for the friendliness of the staff. I expect more from a Holiday Inn. If I had paid around $100 a night, I might have just chalked it up to being a low range hotel, but I paid more than double that amount based on the name brand and the reviews. The hotel is really not well maintained. Little things that you would never see in a hotel chain like Hilton or Sheraton but would expect at Days Inn or Super 8. For instance, the lights in the room were older wooden ones that were scratched and scuffed. They had outlets in them, and when you plugged something into them, they were really loose. There were no charging ports or modern updates to the room. The biggest issue, though, was the sleeping conditions. I can't explain it - it might have been the quality of the sheets or the hvac unit, but the sheets were heavy and felt damp. We stuck to the sheets and were unable to move around easily. The bottom sheets kept coming off the bed. Plus, both my husband and I had terrible sinus issues each morning when we got up. The shower has little water pressure, and the bathtub is raised up. When you stand in it, it feels like you might go through it. As I said, the staff was very nice. I have nothing negative to say about them. The breakfast was status quo. We will not stay here again.

Newly updated interior of room, fresh paint, new flooring, updated bathroom fixtures. Very comfortable bed and fresh linens. Breakfast included was well stocked with many options. Would 10/10 recommend.
