The hotel service was ok but the shower area was not very good. Toiletries were not of good quality as well.

Breakfast is very good . So is location . Rooms are fine with a hot shower . Would stay here again

Hotel in central location room very comfortable but very warm due to weather. Breakfast was fantastic delighted with the booking was an absolute bargain through Trip.com during the Royal military tattoo and fringe season! Would definitely return!

We had the most horrendous 2 nights stay in the St Mary's St Edinburgh Travelodge 9th - 11th August '24! Both my partner and I were badly bitten by bed bugs. Travelodge eventually reimbursed us for the 2 nights stay but the physical (and mental) scars are still there... Beware!

We stayed here for 1 night, myself my wife, and mother in law. We had a family room. We arrived about 2 hours before check in and we got key to our room at about 13:45 which was nice to get in early. The double bed was fine, quite comfortable. However the 2x single beds were not up to the same standard. The pillows felt very cheap, and mattress not very comfortable The bathroom could 100% do with a good clean. The smell of it was like damp/foist. Thankfully we only stayed for 1 night and left early morning so didn’t need to use it. There were markings in the bath tub from where a shower mat obviously had been. The smell was almost unbearable. The location however is great. Close to the city centre, about 10-15 minute walk depending on where you want to be. Literally a 5 minute walk from Edinburgh train station (Waverley) and the Christmas Markets. The bar in the hotel was lovely. We spent a few hours in here on Saturday night playing cards. Nice vibe, although drinks were pricey. Also worth mentioning, some are served in cans and poured into glasses such as cocktails etc. Generally an okay stay but wouldn’t personally stay for more than 1 night.

Best travelodge clean and fresh rooms staff are very friendly and helpful good breakfast close to all attractions stay every November for Christmas market can’t fault it

My family and I stayed here nearer the start of the month and were really satisfied with what we got for our money especially with the breakfast buffet which was wonderfu and had so much choice for vegetarians, we also were helped kindly by shraya who took the time to listen and help :)

The customer service at breakfast was superb. Faelan was an incredibly kind, efficient server, and was so helpful to us. The food was tasty, and the environment was clean and tidy. I would definitely come again, and would highly recommend if you’re after a warm, fresh breakfast and some friendly faces!

The receptionist was lovely. The room was spotless!! Everything we needed whilst still being affordable too. 1000% recommend. The area was also perfect as it’s so close to the city centre. Definitely what we needed and the trip was perfect!!

highly recommend this Travelodge, less than 10 minutes from Waverly station, brilliant location off the Royal Mile, excellent staff,clean hotel and good standard breakfast.

As always Travelodge delivers exactly what it sets out to do. Good clean rooms, well provisioned and access to anything extra that might be required. Within easy walking distance of all the important stuff, but nice and quiet overnight from traffic noise etc. It is long after time that Wi-Fi was available throughout the hotel and complimentary though. Will be happy to book again
