Having read some of the recent reviews, I was expecting to find a poorly presented hotel. Not so! It's such a pity when inexperienced reviewers feel it is their duty to nit-pick and trash a business trying to do a good job for its customers. Anyway, enough of that. We stayed at Sunnybank Star for 6 nights and found the room very spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of parking in a secure area. What impressed us was the price for a hotel located in reasonable proximity of the Brisbane CBD. We used the 150 bus just outside the hotel for our trips into town. The room was well fitted, good bathroom (yes, dated but clean). The room has 12 power outlets - a first for us with so many devices, chargers, electric toothbrush etc these days. The bed was comfortable with good lighting in the room. The ancillary equipment met all our needs. The house and reception staff were all very helpful and polite and made our stay in Brisbane a pleasant one. Well done Sunnybank Star. We'll definitely be back. Recommend!

I/we stayed at the park for 10 days for a business course. We as a group were very fortunate to deal with Geoff whom is one of the owners and got a full tour/look through the park, different rooms which included the Penthouse Rooms and the different departments. The staff from Reception through to Management were absolutely amazing, very accomodating and helpful, the Cabins were first class, very well appointed, extremely clean and extremely comfortable. The Park from front to back was always spotless, never any rubbish anywhere, the gardens were very nice and tidy. The Putt Putt area, Tennis Court, BBQ area, Pool area etc were very well done, equipped and again extremely clean. Would I come back? 100% I would. Do I recommend others to stay here over others? 100% I do. Thankyou to Geoff and all the staff at the Brisbane Holiday Village.
