This is one if not the best guest house we have ever stayed in ,awesome room loads of space really good Wi-Fi and flat screen tv with excellent bathrooms with hot water in a second, very clean very professional & Friendly best ever breakfast comfortable beds kids and myself loved it Hazel the proprietor was so lovely and nothing was too much to ask . Highly recommended 5 Star and above !

We were having a weeks holiday in Scotland and wanted to incorporate a weekend visiting our son who lives and works in Elgin. He booked for us a few days at St. Michaels as it was only 5 minute's walk into the town, and also to his flat. On arrival, we were met by Hazel, the owner and shown to our room. The house is a former rectory which was converted to a guest house some 7 years ago. It is apparent that no expense was spared as the quality of everything was first class. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious very well furnished and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The massive bed was super comfortable, and the shower on the en suite very powerful. The breakfast was also impressive, cooked fresh to order with as much choice as anyone could need. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely guest house, and would definitely return when we next visit the area.

Fantastic stay with my elderly Mum and Wife and Daughter. Cannot fault the friendly and welcoming time we had. Rooms are spacious and immaculate the breakfast is cooked fresh to order and was delicious. I do not hesitate to recommend St Michaels Guest House when visiting Moray. I will definitely stay here again.

This excellent guest house is very close to the centre of Elgin, a short walk from the shops and restaurants. The rooms were well appointed, lots of attention to detail. The stylish bathroom had a very powerful shower and the king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, the best black pudding I have eaten in a long time. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Best place to stay in Elgin. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Hazel the host is so welcoming. It is clean and the room has everything you need. Beds are super comfy and the breakfast is delicious.

The room was really big. The modern bathroom lacked nothing. We were surprised that everything was available. Sometimes even more than in the other (larger chain hotels) on our round trip. The location, on the edge of the old town of Elgin, is very good. Restaurants, shopping facilities, supermarkets and sights are very easy to reach (partly on foot). We disagree about the quality of the mattress. The first night we slept very badly and everything hurt the next morning. On the second night, we slept very well. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi in the room was unusable. It was either not available at all or you couldn't log in or it was extremely slow when you did log in.

Stayed at St Michaels for 3 nights whilst visiting my son in Elgin. The Guest House is very well situated and is within easy walking distance to the town centre. Our room was very large and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also large and very clean. Breakfast is served on the ground floor and has a large selection including full Scottish. There are also some gluten free options. I have read some comments about traffic noise and to be honest our room faced the main road but i cannot say at any time that this caused any problem. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
