As a repeat customer it’s my second visit to this establishment. Upon my first visit way back in March 2015 I stayed in the main hotel in a small single room on the first floor but this time I’m staying in the chalet they own opposite the hotel in a bigger single room 702 with a bath, balcony & a shower not just a shower. My minor criticism in 2015 was that it felt like German speaking guests were given more favourable treatment but now in 2022 every nationality of guest is treated well/equally. They get all the basics right: a clean room, everything works in the room, the hot water is instant, the heating can be controlled, the staff are friendly/helpful and the hotel shuttle van provides a very good service dropping & collecting guests from the ski lifts. The wireless internet speed is good and has a good reception range. The spa/swimming pool/wellness area is of good quality but to access it you do have to walk across the bar area in a dressing gown which some people may not like personally it didn’t bother me too much. The breakfast is great both hot & cold I like the scrambled eggs and boiled ducks eggs best. There are plenty of cheeses, processed meats on offer to put on the numerous bread types, multiple yogurts, served by waiters coffee or tea not self service machines, a variety of cereals, some fruits, plenty of juices, croissants. The only breakfast improvement would be to have hot porridge oats as a cereal choice. Some hotels have juicers/blenders where guests do their own juice like carrot & celery juice but these are noisy/loud too and trouble to clean and maintain so horses for courses as the English would say. The evening meals are a set fair price. On my first day I was rushing about back and forth from my chalet to the hotel determined to get on the 08:30 shuttle van to the slopes still adjusting to a new routine that I left my rucksack down and behind. Upon purchasing my ski pass I noticed that my rucksack was missing. I rang the hotel and they searched the ski room and the chalet and found it. I had some irreplaceable items in it prescription skiing sunglasses & spare goggles, my favourite D shaped avalanche shovel, probe, Swiss Army knife, ski lock, ski carrier sling, ski strap, internal camel back water pouch etc. They called me back on my mobile telephone to report that they’d found my rucksack and put it inside my room. The hotel shuttle van driver sometimes helped to carry skis up to the van and went back to check if anyone was getting ready in the ski room wanting the hotel shuttle van. These are examples of good customer service levels of the hotel. So overall the hotel has got better whilst still doing a good price.
