Duomo Palace

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had staying here. The location is excellent, close to everything. If you want to be close to the Duomo…this is the place to be. The room was so sweet and matched the Duomo which was visible from the window. The process of checking in and checking out was simple. But the MOST important part of our stay was the exceptional service provided. I inadvertently left cash and identification along with clothing after I checked out. Personnel contacted me immediately via email and then proceeded to express mail it to my next destination. The owner used his personal account to send the package to Venice. I’ve stayed at the Bil**ore, the Waldorf Astoria and numerous other hotels in America and Europe and have never experienced this kind of service. We are so grateful we stayed at this hotel. A wonderful place!

Basic accommodation if you need a place to stay for 1-2 nights. The room was a bit outdated but had the essentials like aircon and Wi-Fi. Right in the heart of Florence. Be prepared for noise during the day and night.

Great location, heart of the city center across Duomo. Very secured building. I liked the keyless entry thing. Wish they replenish the coffee refills every day or enough for the whole stay without asking for it. Plenty of restaurants around. All major attractions are nearby.

Responsive communication once I was told how to communication. Was unaware communication would be thru WHATS APP and waited an hour outside for codes to get into unit. Responsive communication once I was told to use WHATS APP. Air conditioning and refrigeration turn off when you leave the unit, which spoiled some of our food. Room cooled quickly when air was on. Fantastic location, could walk everywhere. Spotlessly clean, bed was medium comfortable, air was strong when on. Overall happy with our stay… would recommend for no frills accommodation in the middle of most attractions.

Clean, Well maintained, very convenient location and right next to the Duomo.

We sent a message to the facility the day before asking to arrive a bit earlier if possible. We ended up arriving to the room just 20 minutes before check in time to find that the room had not been prepared and was still dirty. Nobody was in sight so we called and emailed again and again until they finally replied that there had been some confusion and sent a person to make the room. She was definitely rude to us and instead of apologizing told us that we were in the middle annoying her and needed to leave for an hour. We went out and got back right when the cleaner was leaving. In the room we found the fridge not working, the ac incredibly noisy to the point that we could not sleep while it was running (we needed it as the weather was very hot and humid) and most of the kitchenette mugs and utensils dirty. We went out in the evening only to discover that the building was locked and could not get back to the room the way we got in during the day (ringing the bell). The property did not tell us that they were going to give us a token to open the outside door. We had to wait for other guests to arrive (one hour wait) and share the token with us. Those guests lamented the poor service and lack of info as well. On the last day we were instructed to leave the city tax on the table in the room (cash). We did it and left relieved to close the door behind this dirty place and its very rude owners. We wrote them to lament the awful service received and ask for a partial refund only to be accused of not leaving the cash on the table (!!) and of lying. Instead of apologizing or trying to find a compromise the owner was immediately aggressive, offensive, rude and unfair. They even told us to calm down as we were on vacation (vacation for which we work the whole year). Florence is a dream but the high demand of places to sleep makes it possible for anybody to think they can be hoteliers. We warmly suggest to find another place to stay while you enjoy Florence. This one is a scam

Situé dans le centre ville, mais bcp de bruit dans la nuit… Pas assez propre malheureusement, et on a eu des piqûres moustiques?puce? En tout cas pas assez agréable

El Duomo Palace tiene una ubicacion excelente, habitation super grande con todos lo que puedas necesitar, sabanas y toallas super lumpuas,es como estar en casa, neverita, cafeteria, concinita y muchos estantes, plates y cubiertos, super espacioso. En un lugar seguro y tranquilo en la noche, en frente del Duomo. Cuarta vez en Florence y este ha sido el mejor hotel. Excellent room, with everything, close to Duomo, quite at night, spacious room 4 people can sleep here. Very clean, sheets and towel like new. This is our 4th time in Florence and this is the best place. My first review because it deserve it.
