B&B Lorenzo de' Medici

We had a lovely stay at B&B Lorenzo de Medici. Carmine is a fantastic host, we can’t thank him enough for his hospitality, attention and care. His recommendations on local areas and restaurants were excellent. Our room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast provided was very good. Location of the B&B is ideal to explore Florence. We would highly recommend this unique place and would definitely like to stay there again.

Such a gem in Florence! Carmine is an exceptional host who goes beyond and helps us in every way! From helping us out for any question before our trip, allowing us to put our luggages in between our stay in the B&B, calling the restaurant for our booking and even helping us out with the taxi. Carmine is always very responsive and give best local recommendation and try his best to accomodate our needs, when we asked to move our room in the quiter area, he upgraded our room which is such a very nice gesture from him that we really feels that we are at home. The B&B and the room itself is very clean, modern and spotless, the breakfast option also varies. We checked in twice and both times we are greeted with bottle of Chianti wine and chocolate and stack of water in the fridge. This is my first time using B&B and our first time in Italy and we glad we had such a beautiful stay here and a bonus of having new friend in Florence. Looking forward for another stay in this B&B. Sylvana also a very nice lady. She did the laundry and put the clothes folded in our room tidily, a courtesy and extra miles from this B&B.

We were staying one night in Florence and found this lovely bed-and-breakfast. The room was very comfortable with a mini bar, snacks, and a lovely bottle of wine. The breakfast provided in the morning was incredible. Delicious pastries, hard boiled eggs, meats, and cheeses. We would not hesitate to stay there again if visiting Florence.

The ideal location to explore Florence, just a few minutes from the Duomo and the city centre. Easy to get to from the airport, Unità tram stop is just 3 or 4 minutes walk away. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a great selection of sweet and savoury for breakfast. The stairs help keep you fit, but that is to be expected in a building dating to the 1870s. Carmine is a superb host, so friendly and helpful, he just could not do enough for us. He also recommenced some excellent restaurants to us! When we return to Florence (as we certainly will) this will be our first choice to stay!

Although my base was in Rome the highlight of my trip was my stay in Florence and what I experienced there from our host Carmine at the B & B Lorenzo De Medici. I can’t rave enough about our stay in the B & B Lorenzo De Medici. Carmine our host made my family feel at home. He was extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs. The bed and breakfast is located right in the center of town as well as conveniently located near the high speed train station. The rooms were amazing, they were nicely decorated and extremely clean. The breakfast was wonderful and we were all completely satisfied with our meal. Overall it was a wonderful experience and Carmine and his staff enhanced our stay. It is important to note that I will recommend this bed and breakfast to any family and friends that visit Florence in the future.

We were stranded in Florence after a train strike and found ourselves scanning the web for any accommodation for the night. We found this B&B and it ended up being better than where we stayed the rest of the time. The location is brilliant for sights and food. The room is well sized and has amazing amenities and many lovely touches like chocolate & beer & wine provided. Room and bathroom were very clean and shower worked well. The huge breakfast variety included was amazing too. But the highlight for us was the host- Carmine. He was so welcoming and really had thought of everything to make peoples stay comfortable and enjoyable. I imagine this would be a great place to stay if you were nervous travellers and looking for a place with approachable people. Could not rate this place higher and will be telling all of our friends to stay here if they come to Florence!
