La Locandiera B&B

I loved my week at La Locandiera. It's in a quiet area while being a very easy walk to the best of everything Florence has to offer. Silvia gives you a warm welcome, makes you a delicious breakfast and is great to talk to. When I struck trouble with a detail of my onward journey she was there to help and support. I'm very grateful to her and think the world of her. My room was clean, comfortable, had a small fridge, a good safe, a well functioning bathroom and a garden view. La Locandiera was perfect for my needs and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Florence.

We stayed there for six nights in May. It is well located just a few minutes' walk from Santa Maria Novella train station and with a Carrefour supermarket nearby. The good-sized room was very comfortable with a pleasant courtyard outlook and very tastefully furnished. Rooms come with airconditioning, mini-fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The hostess delivers to the room at your nominated time each morning a superb breakfast she prepares in accordance with your choices the night before from an extensive menu that includes ham, cheese, and/or cooked eggs. As far as we can tell, the hostess does everything involved in operating the B&B herself, and does so to a very high standard. This was the best of the four places we stayed at on our Italian holiday. While a bit more expensive than others, it was well worth it. Thoroughly recommended.

We really enjoyed staying at La Locandiera! Plenty of room, quiet overlooking a green area from our room and a generous breakfast. Silvia is a gracious host - I can’t recommend her enough. She was able to direct us to a laundry service and helped us get our bearings.

Loved our visit here. Florence is a very special place and this B&B made it even more special. Such an amazing host and everything was beautiful. It’s great to go outside of typical chain hotels and try something more authentic and caring. Definitely recommend this B&B if you are staying in Florence !

Excellent location. Clean room. Host was so accommodating and even brought breakfast to the room with new cautionary procedures. She was really great and even had breakfast early for us on our day of departure. Would definitley stay again.

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura in numerosi weekend per due anni in maniera fissa per motivi di formazione e posso solo dire che è come sentirsi a casa. La proprietaria è gentilissima e disponibilissima, dal check-in che si adatta alle proprie esigenze, ai cambi di prenotazione, dalla colazione che risponde a qualsiasi richiesta se fatta il giorno prima, al check-out. Le stanze sono bellissime, sempre pulite a punto, confortevoli, luminose, ben riscaldate o raffreddate a seconda della stagione e piacevoli da vivere, con i colori sgargianti e l'arredamento a tema col colore della stanza. Il wifi funziona bene, la TV anche. C'è un bollitore per scaldarsi l'acqua e diverse bustine di tè o tisane. Nonostante la zona nei pressi della stazione si riposa bene e non ci sono rumori fastidiosi. E Silvia ha sempre un sorriso sulle labbra, nonostante sia da sola a gestire tutto il lavoro. Consiglio a chiunque di soggiornare in questa struttura, da soli, in coppia, anche con dei bambini. La zona è comodissima per raggiungere il centro, e nella via ci sono anche dei buoni ristoranti nell'evenienza. Ora la mia formazione si è conclusa, ma sono stati davvero due anni molto piacevoli.
