This was my third trip to the magical city of Firenze, a city filled with magnificent beauty, art, history and architecture. The Hotel Savoy (also my third stay) is truly the Gold standard of hotels. It's fabulous central location makes it easy to navigate and explore the city's amazing museums. All of the hotel's staff offers superior customer service. They are all are very hospitable, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The Concierge team is amazing and are eager to assist its guests with any questions and/or offer guidance to make the most out of your stay in Firenze. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The staff at Irene’s were wonderful and always welcoming each morning. There was an abundance of food choices included in the breakfast buffet. I will happily return to Firenze in the future and, of course, stay at the Hotel Savoy. All the staff members deserve 10 starts for their superior customer service.

Very good and charismatic place right in the middle of everything in Florence: shops, museums and restaurants, you can get anywhere within few minutes of walking. The front desk in very limited time arranged for us a short (we stayed 4 nights only), but not easy to execute program including a day in Chianti with 2 private winery visits (wineries from my list) and provided us with plenty restaurant recommendations. Which truth be told turned out to be better than couple of restaurants we found ourselves searching and reading reviews. The minuses. We were staying in a suite on the 2nd floor, which in Vecchietti is actually quite high due to high ceilings on each floor. The windows were to a side street and upon arrival we were assured that the windows are soundproof. But every night we were woken-up several times first by various partygoers returning back to the hotels/apartments and next by communal services collecting the garbage. The shower is tiny, has stone tiles floor and a big window that saw better times, which is letting in plenty of air from the outside. Even sitting on the toilet, which is located next to the shower door, (excuse me for details) one can feel cold air blowing from the shower door, which can’t be closed completely. On top of that one of the maids always found it a good idea to leave that window open for the whole day after leaving the room doing the cleaning. This being in November already. So, going into that shower was an ordeal every time.

From the moment we arrived to when we left we were very well looked after. On arrival we were greeted and offered complimentary drinks in an area near reception. We were then shown to our room, rather than being told which floor we were. Our bedroom was very large and the air conditioning was a bonus as it was very warm outside. We had a comfortable bed, nice touch staff coming in early evening to turn bedsheets down and putting water beside beds. Separate toilet/bathroom with two sinks and decent shower. Reception staff, sorry too many of you to mention, were really helpful, whether it be getting taxis, booking restaurants for us and where to go. Breakfast was brought to your table and there was plenty of it. Perhaps more hot food rather than just eggs in different forms? Star man for us was Alessandro. We met him on our first night, we were here for 5 nights, and no matter what time of day we saw him he always came up and chatted with us and is a really nice person. Overall this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and is close to all main attractions in the city and only a short walk from train station. We will definitely return at some stage. New beautiful hotel that is 5 star. Staff was first class and was very guest focused. It’s not a big hotel but the rooms were well appointed and the linens were very nice. There was a chilled bottle of Prosecco in our room when we got there. They have Paulo Airaudo, a Michelin chef in the kitchen. There is a window looking directly into the kitchen so you can watch Chef prepare wonderful dishes! It is located very close to the Medici Castle. We highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a good location, very near city center and attractions. The hotel is renovated and very clean and luxurious. The check-in process was smooth, and the reception staff was very pleasant. The room they called junior suite but was just a bed with two chairs at the bottom of the bed. Still the room was nice, housekeeping did a good job. We were very happy the first day. From doormen to the reception and concierge, the staff members were pleasant. Concierge was very helpful. Next day at breakfast, however, we were disappointed by a small spread. Way smaller than other hotels in that category. Then a worker in the buffet area (didn’t catch his name, wears a black uniform) and another staff member were unprofessional and annoying, not just us but some other guests too. I asked if I could get crispy bacon, the fellow started lecturing me as to how rare is better and so on. He did serve it but showed resentment. Another server gave coffee in open pot (just like a soup pot) instead of a properly closed pot and when I mentioned that it will get cold, the waiter started lecturing that it is real silver and does not get cold, (coffee will get cold if left open and in fact colder as silver is a metal than in ceramic) Flaunting that it was a real silver was weird as most guests who can afford this hotel probably do have several silver sets at home ( we do). After that encounter, the previous fellow (in black uniform) came to our table and started grilling us with questions, asking our room number again and asking where we came from and sarcastically attempted to ridicule us. Then I found that he was also misbehaving with other American tourists, especially the ones dressed in shorts and casual outfits. A couple walked in 10 minutes before the closing time and this person started taking away the items as this couple was approaching to take them in the buffet area. Coincidently we met that couple at a tour, they mentioned that his dislike of Americans and people of another ethnicity is so obvious that they would skip breakfast to avoid spoiling another morning. After that experience, we decided not to eat in their restaurants or bar that evening as probably we would have more bad experiences.

Location, location, location! Easy walk with luggage from the train station, and then you’re right in the heart of the action. With the air con not operating, the room was quite stuffy, but windows open so you can get fresh air. The lane way is quite loud at night, but again, you’re in the middle of the nightlife so it’s not a surprise. Simple, but lovely, breakfast buffet.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

Fabulous location, friendly staff. Rooms appear clean, and the wifi is decent when you can connect. This place could be excellent, but the devil is in the details. The water temperatures (hot/cold) were reversed in the shower. There is no minibar, and the vending machine on the floor was indecipherable when it came to payment, rendering it useless. The elevators are slow and make grating noises when the doors open and are inadequate given the extremely high traffic in and out. The laundry service was good and on time. Breakfast was adequate at best. I may consider staying here again, but not at €300+/night.

We went for location over luxury and boy did we get the most amazing location!! The Duomo was almost touching distance !! The bells were amazing to hear ( but when the windows were shut we got peace and quiet). To walk out the door and right into the thick of the activity of Florence, was a wonderful experience. The B and B was clean, we were given a kettle and cups and tea bags when I asked if we could make tea. We really did have a comfortable sleep and we were allowed to leave our bags for the whole day we checked out which was great! There was an amazing lift up to the B and B ( but a flight of stairs to get to the lift so not accessible for those with mobility issues). We had such a memorable time. Thankyou so much to the staff.

I have seen there are no recent reviews so will update you on our visit. First off this is NOT a hotel and they do not have any services at all. They don't advertise that so it is what is says a B&B. Our room way extremely small even for europe rooms. The bathroon was the size of a telephone booth. The drain did not work at all and within 2 minutes the pan was filled and overflowing into the bathroom. You can not use the shower bascially. The air conditioning works but sounds like there are coins bashing around in it and can't really be used at all. No way to sleep in the room with that noise.. its not just a little noise it rattling really loudly. The person that run the place is only there from 2-6pm. He was very nice and helpful. If you need anything after that you are on your own. He said call him and he can come back. But hardly feels right calling a guy to run over to bring extra towels. While the location is excellent..... without a fan or air conditioning the outside noise it unbearable. Loud parties and people have fun below until at least 4:00am. I think I was dosing here and there as I heard about 30 people signing happy birthday at 3:30am. I know we had the smallest room but had I been there a second night I would have checked out a day early. This again is not a hotel I would say its a dorm room with a view.

We originally booked A Florence View B&B for 2020 which was postponed due to COVID & we had a voucher for a future stay. Giuliana at the B&B was extremely helpful in responding quickly to all our emails providing information for our new 4 night booking. The B&B is wonderfully situated you are literally surrounded by the main sites overlooking the Cathedral, Duomo, Bell Tower (it really is that close!) We were met by Leonardo who talked us through the main Florence sites & provided some great restaurants to try. A Florence View is situated in an historical building with old style furniture & decor, we had a Duomo view room which looked out onto the square (truly amazing you can’t be closer!) our accommodation had a room with a sofa, small table, fridge with tea & coffee making facilities. A separate bedroom plus bathroom with a powerful jet shower. All very clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room which was a lovely personal touch (there isn’t a separate dining room) All the main sites are within easy walking distance including the train station approx 10 mins. The friendliness & customer service was fantastic we would definitely recommend staying at A Florence View.

Ho soggiornato per 2 notti in questo piccolo hotel nel pieno centro di Firenze,posizione ottima per tornare dopo pranzo per riposarsi e anche per uscire la sera!camera molto pulita e con letto alla francese, anche il bagno piccolo ma funzionale e pulito. Personale molto gentile, peccato solo che a colazione in questo periodo vengano solo offerte bevande calde erogate da una macchina, peraltro molto buone! Per accedere all'Hotel in qualsiasi momento, oltre all'orario della reception, vengono forniti dei codici di accesso, molto comodo, il check in viene fatto dopo le 14, mentre check out entro le 11, ma mi è stato permesso di lasciare la valigia in deposito fino a metà pomeriggio, una grande cortesia. Mi sono trovata benissimo e sono certa che tornerò molto preso in questa struttura

This hotel was beyond my best expectations! We stayed in the beautiful room with the balcony and the view of the Duomo. The room was so impeccably decorated and furnished with a small kitchenette which included all we needed for our morning coffee. There was even a bowl of fresh fruit on the table! There was also a library that had a selection of coffees, contucini, and Vin Santo for the guests! The staff was very gracious as well. This was the last stay of our month-long trip to Italy, and I cannot imagine a more perfect ending than what this hotel provided!
