While the location is good and staff is very nice, this is not a 4 star hotel, in my opinion. a) Our room was far more worn than the photos of the rooms I had seen on the internet. The room needs refurbishing, particularly the carpet. b) Additionally, I was disappointed to find there was not an outlet in the bathroom for the hairdryer. So I had to dry my hair in the bedroom and to make matters worse there was not a mirror anywhere in the bedroom. c) The was no AirConditioning in the hotel yet the hotel advertises on its website that the hotel has Air conditioning. The high temperature for our stay was 77 degrees Fahrenheit. I called the front desk to request help with the air conditioning and was told it was shut off for October. In my opinion, the hotel should not advertise that it has air conditioning. d) WhenI took my shower I was disappointed to find that the shower gel bottle that is locked to the shower wall - was out of shower gel. Housekeeping should check to replenish shower bath gel. On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located to the chateau and bus lines and the bed is comfortable. However the weaknesses far outweigh the positives of the hotel thus I would not recommend the hotel.

Hôtel idéalement situé au centre-ville de Fontainebleau, à 2 pas du château. Accueil courtois et souriant. Chambre de dimension modeste, mais suffisant pour un couple en court séjour. Bonne literie. Système de double porte pour isoler du bruit des espaces communs. Dommage simplement que la Climatisation soit bruyante (ce qui est le cas dans ce type d’établissement de centre-ville) … Stationnement possible dans le garage, ce qui est très pratique. Espaces un peu étroits pour manœuvrer avec un long véhicule (A6 en l’espèce). Nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour.

My wife and I stayed here for one night to visit the Fontainebleau Palace. We arrived and checked-in via the automated system with no problems at all. A very nice gentelman came out to check up on us and showed us where the parking garage was. We really appreciated the hotel's parking and it was easy for us to unpack our luggage and go right up to our room via the elevator. Our room was big, clean and most importantly in August; cool! The bed was comfortable. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the palace and this was great for our visit. We had breakfast in the morning, and found it good. The staff was very active and replenishing items for breakfast every few minutes. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights, as we wanted to have plenty of time to visit the Chateau de Fontainebleau, which is about a ten minute walk straight down the road. There is a car park on site, although when we arrived it was a Sunday afternoon and the hotel was very busy, we did manage to find one small parking space in the end. There is garage parking if the car park is full, for a small fee. We drove past the hotel the first time, as it is also called Demeures de Campagne, which was a bit confusing as we thought it was the wrong hotel. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, which was good after our long drive. The room on the third floor was spacious and modern, although the bathroom had an over-bath shower (slippy bath) and was a bit dated. There are tea and coffee-making facilities (not all French hotels have these) with decent large china mugs, much appreciated after so many hotels provide paper cups. We usually bring our own teabags, as French hotels often only provide herbal/mint or lemon teabags. The room was a bit hot, despite the aircon. There is an attractive garden to sit outside and have a drink. We didn't use the pool or other leisure facilities, but there seemed to be plenty to do. We sat outside for dinner the first night, and inside the second night as storms were expected. We found the food better than some reviews indicate. I enjoyed two entrees and dessert as I often find main courses too filling. The pretty vintage crockery - mostly different and attractive designs - was a nice touch. We didn't have the breakfast as the area near the Chateau has several cafes. Fontainebleau was heaving and extremely busy when we arrived on the Sunday, so it was good to have somewhere to park. Monday was much quieter (note the Chateau is closed Tuesdays).

Visiting our family, in France, we stayed two days at the “Hôtel de Londres” in Fontainebleau. Our stay was just as in a dream and we enjoyed the high quality of the hotel, the amiability of the owners and of the devoted staff. Our room, number 8, was facing the castle and furnished with two, high standard comfortable King-size beds, a large bathroom with an Italian shower, entrance with separation door and all you could expect in such prestigious hotel. That without mentioning the outstanding noise immunity provided by the double glass windows and insulation making the room surprisingly quiet. We took our breakfast at the hotel, which offers a buffet and, if you like French pastry, we highly recommend the delicious croissants and “pains-au-chocolat” absolutely delicious. We also highly appreciated the amiability of the owners and their recommendations on sites to visit and restaurants. The overall hotel is charming, very well located and there is no doubt a place we highly recommend if you visit Fontainebleau. Thanks to all, at the “Hôtel de Londres” for contributing to make our vacation unforgettable.

Vraiment déçus pour un 4 étoiles. Des trous dans les murs de la SDB, Une étagère calée par un tube de crème, (hallucinant)!!! Des rideaux pleins de taches de gras..... Tout ça n'est pas digne d'une hôtellerie dites luxe! Ces défauts signalés , la réception a gracieusement consenti 10% de réduction sur la note ( ce qui correspond aux 2 spritz) pris la veille lors de notre dîner au Gina ( le restaurant de la demeure du parc) qui reste correct. Déçus aussi par le petit déjeuner très Light pas de choix et aussi très éloigné de nos attentes. En résumé nous avons été très déçus par ces prestations dans lesquelles nous espérions beaucoup. Je pensais réellement qu'un quatre-étoiles était plus classe que ça. Nous ne reviendrons pas à La Demeure du Parc.
