Ulasan Mt. Fuji View Onsen Ooike Hotel

This is so far the best experience I had in Japan, the bell boy was waiting for us in front of the hotel. We were specifically arrange a private room for our dinner and breakfast, unfortunately due to fogging we were unable to see Mt. Fuji during breakfast. The in-room onsen was really fantastic with Mt. Fuji view.

Arrived and got greeted by friendly staff. It was not yet time for check-in but she explained to us the hotel facilities in details (english is ok!) Dinner was good. We stayed for two nights and the menu was different so we got to try different food (even the local specialty Hotou!). Buffet Breakfast was plentiful. The bath tub in the room was amazing and we got to enjoyed it with Mount Fuji view. We also checked out the view from the rooftop terrace in the morning and the view was unbeatable. Just minor point, the bath tub had to keep going as water might freeze, but you could hear the sound of running water all night long. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel to our friends!

They offer a shuttle bus service between the hotel and the station, which is very helpful. There's also plenty of parking available for those traveling by car. Service: 9/10 The service at 大池酒店 was exceptional. The staff were friendly and always greeted us with smiles, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Environment: 10/10 The ambiance of the hotel is tranquil, with a strong traditional Japanese style. The peaceful surroundings contributed to a relaxing experience, perfect for unwinding. View: 10/10 The views of Mount Fuji are simply spectacular. Waking up to that breathtaking sight is something I'll never forget. Room: 8/10 Our room was decent in size and comfortably accommodated our needs. It was beautifully decorated in traditional Japanese style, adding to the overall experience. Food: 9/10 Both dinner and breakfast were served with great care, and the flavors were excellent. The meals truly showcased the local cuisine. Overall, I highly recommend 富士之宿温泉旅館 大池酒店 for anyone looking for a serene getaway with stunning views, great service, and delicious food. Service is Impeccable, excellent. Really appreciated the hospitality of offer a dessert and beautiful wordings for celebrating me & my wife’s 14th Wedding Anniversary. Unforgettable Dining experience. Our room is facing FUJI mountain and we are so lucky that we can see it in the cloudy day. All facilities are good, we will definitely stay this hotel again and we will highly recomend to our friends & family to stay if they go to FUJI. To all staffs, you all doing an excellent job and keep going. We will see you soon in the future.

Hotel provides free shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko station, you can ask the station information counter to help call the shuttle on your behalf. Staff are very attentive and friendly, will help you with your baggage the moment you arrive at their doorstep. Rooms are spacious and clean. Walking distance to the lakeside and nearby area bus that will take you around the lake. Delicious included dinner and breakfast spread.

The hotel is near the bus station. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is one of the best we have had while travelling. The traditional style room is a cool experience and when the weather is good you have a nice view of Mount Fuji.

The room is large and clean without any odd smell. The private bathtub is nice. The staff is extremely polite and patient. It is kinda pity that the view of the mt.fuji is blocked by the cloudy weather.

Pros: 1. The room comfortably accommodated 3 adults, although the bathroom was a bit small even for one person. 2. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. 3. Breakfast met our expectations. 4. The onsen experience was enjoyable overall. 5. The hotel's location is convenient, being close to Lake Kawaguchiko. 6. Free parking area is near the hotel entrance. Cons: 1. We specifically booked a room with a "mountain view" hoping to see Mount Fuji. Our room was on level 3. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that our view only included the tip of the mountain, obstructed by buildings and electric cables. This was quite different from the picturesque view advertised on their website. Considering the high price of the room (SGD$800 per night for 3 persons), this was a huge disappointment. We strongly believe that the hotel should reconsider offering level 3 rooms as 'mountain view' rooms and reserve levels 4 and 5 for this category, as this feels like a misrepresentation. 2. Dinner was a huge letdown. We were served only 2 platters of meat (pork and beef) of average quality and 1 vegetable platter for Shabu Shabu. The selection was extremely limited. Although we were offered a Kaiseki Ryori (multi-course Japanese-style meal) for the next evening, there was an additional charge of over $3000+ yen per person for the upgrade. Despite the extra cost, this option seemed more appealing as we did not want to have the same Shabu Shabu two nights in a row.
