Check in is so late … even if the room is ready early it’s strictly 4pm.
On arrival to our room later in the evening there was rubbish left in the middle of the floor from the previous guest!! Even after such a late check in time it’s disappointing to see the room has not been cleaned properly. The carpet also needed hoovering.
There are 2 areas for breakfast with slightly different choice but overall it was poor. No milk for the hot drinks … staff member said they had ran out. I went myself and found milk at the other buffet. Breakfast started at 6.30 and by 7.30 everything had almost gone and not been well replenished. Lots of tables were dirty and the clearing station was piled high with washing up. There was only 1 waiter… I think there needs to be a few more staff.
There is a shuttle bus which seats around 12 people that departs the reception every 20 minutes, the hotel was full so a bus for 12 people is not sufficient. There were 30 people in the line at 8.15am. Difficult to get a taxi here so we ended up walking 20 mins to the station with our bags. The red bus line had not yet started.
Shower was nice and it was hot. Bag storage in the reception which is free. Close to the red line which takes only a few minutes to get to the station and there is access to all other bus lines

Our room has Mount Fuji view, which is really nice :) - the two pictures below were taken in the room.
We also enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the hotel! The shabu-shabu dinner allowed us to order unlimited beef, pork and veggies within 90 mins, and the hotel offers buffet breakfast with great variety of food and drink choices.
The hotel is close to both the bus stop 4 and the bus stop 6 of red/purple/green lines, so depending on where one plan to go, one can get on/off at either bus stop, with a few minute walk from the hotel. (For example, it took us about 15 mins to walk from hotel to the cable car station.)
The staff there are really friendly, with excellent services - a big thank to them!
There are two onsen areas at the hotel - one in the main building and another in the annex building. We went to the main building one, but it was a bit small and quite crowded, so the hygiene there was suboptimal. This is the only minor thing that we wish that the hotel could do better.
All in all, our stay was wonderful :)

As a traveller with large tattoos, I wanted to leave a review here confirming that this onsen allows for guests with tattoos. This is the onsen review only. I went in the early afternoon on a Saturday and, while initially I shared the onsen with 4 other Japanese ladies, eventually I had the whole onsen for myself. Very hot water, 1 indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools, although one was not in use and empty. 1000 yen for 2 hours (bring your own towels), English website, easy to access from Kawaguchiko station.

立地条件は良いですねえ。時間による（5:00PM）のでしょうがフロント担当などは男性のみの感じ。コロナ禍ゆえかウエルカムドリンクはなかったですねえ。館内は綺麗で良かったですねえ。和室に泊まりました。部屋によるのでしょうが、まずは湖を眺めようと窓を開けてバルコニーへと向かうと、部屋は高床式のように40センチほど高くなっていて、膝が痛かったので難儀しました。子供や老人は用心しないと危ないです。そして鏡台の電灯点けると、行灯型の明かりは薄暗くて、妻も役に立たないと嘆き、見上げると行灯の中には結構な埃がもやっと眺められ、妻と苦笑しましたねえ。さて、お風呂へ行きましたが、いくつかあるのでしょうが入った浴場の露天は景色は見えずでした。 そして食事ですが、工夫されている（多分外国人向けの工夫かと）割には味付けは、和風とは言いにくくて「旨い」とは思えず、工夫が過ぎてるなあ、和食の良さがなくなっていると感じ残念でした。そうそう、Wi-Fiはあるのですが、不思議なことに案内のどこにも書かれておらず、フロントに聞くと、口頭で告げるのみで不親切でしたねえ。 それから、洗面台のハンドルが小さくて、老人や子供にはかなり使いにくいものでした。そして、和室では肝心な床の間の絵の位置がTV設置の加減でか左にずれて居るのは、ご愛敬レベルでしょうか。部屋食は配膳の男性給仕さんが良い印象でしたが、全体に、残念なことでした。

For the price of this hotel, you can’t go wrong. Love the location and the view of Mount Fuji. This is a basic local hotel surrounded by much more expensive accommodations. We stay for 2 nights during the autumn light illumination festival. I have requested for a Mount Fuji view room. Worth the extra dollars to admire the beauty. The challenge is always trying to get a room during the peak season like cherry blossoms or autumn leaves season. Better book well in advance. This hotel offers free parking and free breakfast, simple but yet complete meal. The hotel looks like it had recently been remodel or upgraded from another establishment. The hotel surrounding and finish looks well maintained. Highly recommended stay.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of each “room”, since each room is a villa with two levels plus a rooftop. It was awesome to be able to stay somewhere with a view of Mt Fuji. Staff were friendly and helpful, definitely recommend!

NEGATIVO Que cierren hotel de 10h a 15h. Entiendo que cierren habitaciones, baños y lockers pero en living lo deberian de dejar abierto. Si pasas más de una noche...te quedas en la calle de 10h a 15h.

Stayed at this accomodation one night. Room had no power to begin with, and staff had to scramble to fix the issue. Not a good first impression. Room was passable but staff are, quite frankly, terrible - trying to communicate with any of the staff even for simple requests (like trying to arrange a taxi) was like pulling teeth. It was advertised as a tourist hotel, but none of the staff seem to speak English - I understand not everyone does, that’s fine - but at least make an effort to assist or find someone who can - all I got was a shrug and staff staring at me as if I had two heads. Perhaps they need more training, because service is poor. If this was a cheaper place to stay it would be easier to overlook, but with the going rate of a room (not cheap) I expected better. Advertised as tourist Not good, and overall not a happy customer.

We are family travelers with 2 young kids and booked the tatami room, however when we reached, we found the tatami room is not the normal tatami style with traditional futons. In website, it’s indicated as “Tatami room (Dog Friendly)”, we thought it’s just a tatami room, but it’s actually the room is dedicated for those bring dogs, so the information in website is a little bit misleading. There is a dog cage in the room and it’s not able to remove.
We booked for 4 pax, only one bedsheet was found in the room, and we have to set up the futons by ourselves, which is not convenient for foreigners.
We feedback to the staff on day 1, after that, they immediately attended to our issues. Here we would like to specially thank Mr. Shekhar Bhandari. He is patient and nice. He helped us change the room on day 2 when available. On day 2, he also provided us a free drinks during dinner.
The food has a few selections. The staff here are polite. Overall, we are satisfied with the service.

KKairouWe had booked a room for Fuji view, and indeed we were greeted with a magnificent view of the kawaguchiko lake & Mt Fuji. The staffs were friendly & helpful. Room was comfortable, everything was clean, however the bathroom had no where to hang our towels- I think that can be improved. Also, the hotel is located on a small hill, which can only be accessed via a very steep road up. I strongly recommend to rent a car when you are staying there as it is quite difficult to walk up the hill if you don’t have a car.

PPengguna TetamuWe decided and booked our Tokyo travel a week before flying so we didn’t have the luxury of choices. Fuji Lake Hotel had a room available so we went for it. We spent 3 nights there. The hotel looks dated and we read its history as being one of the earliest built at Lake Kawaguchiko. Our room was spacious and faced the lake. After spending three days there we didn’t feel like we missed Mt Fuji view as we saw it throughout the day. I recommend going to the dining room early and get the counter seats facing Fuji San. The view of the lake is also great as the dining room is on 7th Fl and has panoramic window view. We walked around the lake and took in the view from various perspectives. There are many hotels all around the lake and we reckon that the hotels located across Fuji Lake hotel would offer a much more picturesque view of Mt Fuji, though a bit distant. Imagine a view with the lake in foreground and Mt Fuji in background. While our hotel has a closer view the buildings in the foreground somewhat spoiled the overall view. Well one can’t have everything! We enjoyed our stay and will revisit Kawaguchiko but will choose a different hotel for a change. In terms of location Fuji Lake has little to offer compared to the Momiji Corridor area where there are more touristy attractions and restaurants. The nice part of Fuji Lake is the hotel is built right on the lake unlike others which are separated from the lake by the main road.

PPengguna TetamuCame by during the coldest winter in Japan for years and was at first worried about the snow storm as our cars are not fitted with snow tires, so I decided to call up the hotel. On hand to assist is a very nice and kind lady by the name of Zora who tried to go all out to assist and though we asked if we can cancel the stay with no cancellation fees, she mentioned it was tough due to regulations from the booking website. Nevertheless she took efforts to keep me posted of the conditions in Kawaguchiko prior to our arrival and we finally made our trip there. The hotel is clean and new as it opened almost 2.5 years ago hence was dealt with the Covid pandemic and it was not easy for them to survive. The hotel has several Mandarin speaking staff and check in is only after 3 pm hence when we arrived the counter was empty and waited for a while for a Mandarin speaking Japanese to come over to assist, very helpful with suggestions but again they didn’t allow us to amend our stay due to the upcoming snow storm. In the end we decided to forfeit our 2nd night stay due to the fact we do not have snow tire and this is where I felt the hotel can be a bit more flexible by offering a discount. The rooms we were given is huge and spacious , as mentioned by Zora with a good view of Mount Fuji, however the view changes just the next day hence we are lucky to have a wonderful view of Mount Fuji from the room . Overall the stay was very good as staff are very helpful, multi lingual staff with one of the guy from Taiwan being able to speak Mandarin , English , Cantonese , Korean and of course Japanese. Breakfast is simple but very adequate .

CclariceWe enjoyed the gorgeous fuji view from the room which was exactly the same as the photo we saw online. The hotel provided free warm packs and snacks in the lobby which was caring. There were also welcoming snacks in the room. However, as far as we know, the hotel provides free shuttle service to/from Kawaguchiko station but it was disappointing that there were no way to book online. I tried to contact the hotel directly via email but received no response from them. Eventually, we took a bus from Kawaguchiko station and walked up the hill with our luggages, which was very inconvenient. Besides, the dinner style/menu was only available at dinner time so we couldn’t take it into consideration when we decided the date of our stay. Other than the above, the overall experience was nice with high CP value.

HHsueh LingThe place was totally awesome! Totally relaxing and a very different experience from the tradition ryokan experience in Kawaguchiko. Location is rather convenient- just 1 stop on the red line bus will bring you to the resort. Dinner and breakfast was awesome too, however be sure that you have somebody that knows how to work the grill!
Communication with service staff was a little difficult, but Google translator solved the issue. Not much of service you need as you are pretty much on your own!

PPengguna TetamuThis is a decently nice, large ryokan-style hotel but it feels a bit old and shabby like a pre-bubble hotel which is past its glory days. The location was a lot more isolated than we were expecting, you really should have a car if you stay here as there is little in the immediate area and it's a decently long walk to the rest of town. I strongly disagree with the ”good for walkers” walkability rating that Tripadvisor gives it. The car does offer a free shuttle four times a day to Kawaguchiko station though which is nice. The rooms (at least the ones we stayed in) were ryokan style with tatami and futons. Both me and my companion found the futons very difficult to sleep in. I didn't get a good night's sleep any of my nights and woke up sore even after requesting an extra futon for support. The public onsen on the fourth floor was very nice and in my opinion quite large. Lastly, the WiFi ranged from terrible to passable. It would vary a bit from hour to hour but was often nearly unusable. This is not a ”bad” hotel by any means, just know what you're getting into. This place probably was more impressive back in the day but today feels slightly run down and not very modern.

Breakfast was ok, not fantastic-the place seems very deserted with many shops shuttered quite early on and streets dark. The bath was decent but nothing to shout about. Overall a value for money place just don’t expect too much

PPengguna TetamuSi vous n’êtes pas Japonais et pas motorisé cela risque d’être difficile pour vous. Le bâtiment de l’hôtel, sans charme extérieur (euphémisme) est difficilement atteignable par les transports en commun et cela est impossible le soir. Il existe une navette qui vient vous chercher le jour de votre arrivée et vous dépose à la gare le matin de votre départ ou pendant votre séjour (3 horaires le matin). Pour revenir il y a un créneau d’appel mais pour nous il n’a pas fonctionné. Les chambres sont très bien, grandes et avec une superbe vue sur le mont Fuji. Le personnel est serviable mais ne parle que très peu anglais et communique par google traduction. Cela peut amener a des confusions comme cela c’est passe pour nous. La personne qui nous a reçus s’est montrée particulièrement odieuse, ce qui n’a pas été le cas du reste du personnel fort heureusement. Pas de restaurants alentours la plupart n’ayant pas rouvert après l’épisode covid. Prix trop cher de mon point de vue, 250 euros/nuit pdj inclus, certes en très haute saison mais quand même. Mention spéciale au vieux monsieur qui conduit la navette, il parle anglais et est vraiment très bien.
