Overall, the hotel was quite good; it truly lived up to its name as a palace hotel. Cleanliness and tidiness, as well as the breakfast, were decent. However, hygiene needs improvement. On my first day, I noticed: 1. Hair from the previous guest was still on the bathroom wall, inexplicably not cleaned properly. It remained there until I checked out. 2. The toilet paper roll was only partially used. Although a spare roll was provided—a Japanese custom—hotels usually replace it with a new roll for new guests, reusing or disposing of the old one. Furthermore, after using the old roll on the first day, I opened the second roll myself, but the new roll wasn't placed in the holder on the second day. The wrapper was also left untouched until I checked out. 3. The plastic bag from my toothbrush, which I used on the first day, was still on the floor, perhaps accidentally. 4. The blankets were made on the second day, but not on the following two days. What kind of practice is this? Where is Japan's 5S management system? Where are the sorting, setting in order, cleaning, and sanitation? And where is the fifth aspect, discipline? I wonder where the discipline of this hotel's staff is. Although I mentioned some unsatisfactory aspects above, the hotel is generally good. I just hope they can pay more attention to some details and better embody Japan's fine traditions. This would improve the customer experience and lead to more repeat business.

The room is relatively small, but the location is OK. It's about a 10-minute walk from Tenjin and very close to the bus to Ito Island (but friendly reminder, this is the second stop, so the first stop, Hakata, might be full and you won't be able to get on).
