Excellent Service and Freindly staff!! Very glad that I booked with them as they made me feel like home even away from home, we had breakfast and dinner at this hotel and received best service. We had late night check in but was smooth and flawless,Sonya and her team delivered more than expected!! On last day we had early check out but they made sure that we had takeout breakfast before leaving to airport which was very nice gesture on there behalf…

Best service that I have ever had in a hotel. There are only a few rooms but they are extremely clean and have great views. From check-in to check-out, the service was over the top. We left before breakfast started one morning and the staff prepared a take-way breakfast for us and hung it on our door. My daughter is a vegan and they made specially prepared items for her every day. We ate breakfast and dinner there almost every day of our stay. They customed made anything we wanted for breakfast. Best prices around. Felt completely safe and welcomed. Lots of things to do around the hotel also.

My husband and I really enjoyed the 9 nights in our comfortable apartment in this small hotel high above the city with a view of the ocean from our porch and within walking distance of the beautiful attractions in Monte. It's only a 15 minute drive from Funchal, but be prepared for steep, curvy streets and GPS that is sometimes hard to follow. The staff is really accommodating and personable and the breakfasts are very generous. More options like quiche, French toast, etc. instead of eggs every day would have been nice and we preferred to eat dinners in the city or other villages. There is so much to do on this island and you can drive to all parts of it within an hour. Every day was a peak experience!

Absolutely lovely hotel and really friendly staff with superb and generous breakfast. Everyone was really accommodating and helpful during our visit. The room was brilliant with a well equipped kitchenette and dining area/lounge along with a spacious bedroom and en-suite. We stayed over Christmas 2023 and the staff made our stay over the festive period really lovely. The location of the hotel is a little awkward in that it is up a steep hill and quite far from town. This has its advantages as well as disadvantages; it is quiet and the views are lovely. There is a very convenient bus route (22) that gets you into town and you can also use the cable car. It is however useful to have a car particularly if you are planning to visit other places in Madeira outside of Funchal where you can't really rely on Public Transport alone.

This hotel is up there with the best I have seen. The area is obviously on the hills of Funchal so it's very very quiet. The hotel rooms are spacious and spotless. The breakfast is fresh and amazing. The staff are the friendliest and nothing is impossible. This hotel would pass for a 5 star ⭐ rating in my eyes.... Don't hesitate to book here ...

Quite simply, one of the loveliest of hotels and I feel so lucky that we went to stay there. Located within very easy reach of Funchal, the location is beautiful and quiet. We had a gorgeous apartment with stunning views. It was a real bit of luxury and the bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. Breakfasts were delicious, and all served on a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea and also the cable cars - very dramatic. Dinners there were also delicious - you can eat super healthy if you choose, with amazing salads, grilled fish etc. . . but also chips and yummy cocktails! The biggest reason to visit here is the staff - I have never been anywhere where each and every member of staff is so kind, friendly, funny and professional. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I had a stupid accident whilst swimming in the sea, falling and breaking my wrist. The staff were amazing - so genuinely concerned - they organised everything from transport to hospital, ice while we waited, advice on the best hospital to go to, and they even organised a late supper in our room - they managed to turn around a horrible situation into a completely manageable one, and a day later we carried on our lovely holiday as normal, except with no swimming! Madeira is a magical place to visit - we were out doing lots of walking and sightseeing, and to be able to come back to a beautiful, quiet and luxurious hotel every evening was wonderful
