Furano Lofts

If you appreciate the privacy and spaciousness of a luxury serviced apar**ent, but would also like the reassurance of a concierge service, this is the place. We spent two weeks here at the start of the ski season (Dec 2023 to Jan 2024), in the beautifully-appointed two-bedroom Yama townhouse. Everything was superbly maintained and spotless, with the dedicated housekeeping team coming by at just the right intervals. From the washer-dryer to coffee machine to a humidifier in the dining area, there were many thoughtful design decisions to grant us every convenience and comfort. We were cosy even when temperatures outside dropped to -18 degrees Celsius, slept deeply in the generous king-sized bed, and appreciated the bathtub for a soak after a day of skiing. Not to mention the privilege of Furano Loft's own onsen at one's doorstep, available upon booking! From initial enquiries and all throughout our stay, Leon and Tim were always thoughtful and warm. Their professionalism, kind gestures, and local insider knowledge made this long-awaited trip that much more special and memorable. Whether it was the welcome basket of locally-sourced goodies, a detailed and considerate tour of the loft's amenities, restaurant recommendations/reservations, pick-ups and drop-offs, and even helping with an early order of ski passes... It was the human touch that elevated an already outstanding place to stay. We had to visit the hospital during our trip, and Leon and Tim's assistance allowed this unexpected incident to pass with ease. Location-wise, Furano Lofts is an enjoyable 7 minute walk to the Kitanomine ski slopes, 1 minute from the famous Furano Delice, and 3 minutes from the exquisite Bistro Le Chemin. We infinitely preferred this to staying closer to the slopes-- instead of stepping out onto icy roads, we opened our door each day to the peace and calm of snow-laden trees. You might even be visited by a certain plump squirrel! We have stayed in many lovely hotels, but Furano Lofts easily ranks amongst the best. Looking forward to our next visit!

This is my second time staying at Furano Lofts. The first time 6 of us stayed at the Chalet, which was fantastic, with a well-equipped kitchen and washing amenities. Large, spacious living and dining rooms, great for communal bonding post-ski. This year, 5 of us chose the mori and moto apar**ents. I was on the ground floor moto apar**ent, it was a lovely, luxurious and comfortable 5-night stay! The best accommodation you can get in Furano for 2 people, as it was spacious and well-equipped. Leon and Tim are excellent hosts, who go beyond and above their duties to make our stay comfortable and hassle free. Kudos to the gentlemen!

This would have to be one of the most immaculately kept and well-run holiday apar**ents anywhere in the world. It is modern, tastefully furnished, and is incredibly clean. We felt like we were the first guests to occupy our one bedroom apar**ent, which had a good-sized bathroom, a workable kitchenette, a roomy bedroom with hanging space and drawers for clothes storage, beautiful bedding, and a generously sized lounge/dining area. The complex also has a beautiful onsen, which two people can share in complete privacy. Wonderful. It was our home in the snow for a week; close enough to walk to restaurants in the Kitanomine area, just down the road from the local bus stop for those wanting to take the short journey down to Furano town, and an easy walk to the Kitanomine base and gondola for those not wanting to use the apar**ent’s free shuttle service to and from your day on the slopes. For those self-driving, there is free parking available on site at your apar**ent door. The hosts, Leon and Tim were so helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Advice on local attractions and restaurants, help making reservations, de-snowing our car in the morning … nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed at a large number of accommodation establishments in ski fields across Japan over the last 25 years, and this place is one of the best.

This is an amazing place - extremely well-appointed with great art and furnishings. Most importantly, the level of service provided by Leon and Tim is way above expectations. For those going skiing this place is very close to the skiing area and there is a shuttle service too and from the lifts. I can't recommend this place enough

What to say about Furano Lofts? Everything about our holiday experience at Furano Lofts was perfect from the moment we arrived. We felt as though we were the only people staying at The Lofts, even though the apar**ents were fully booked. Our Moto apar**ent was spotlessly clean and could have been brand new. All appoin**ents are of superior standard and every consideration has been given to guest comfort and convenience. (The combined washing machine/dryer is amazing!) The hosts, Leon and Tim, have an extensive knowledge of the local area and nothing is too much trouble. Their attention to detail is first class and we genuinely felt that their sole purpose was to ensure that all of our holiday needs were met. This included on-demand drop offs and pickups to and from the ski slopes, as well as restaurant recommendations and bookings which were tailored to our taste requests. We have never felt so valued as guests anywhere else in our travels. Furano as a holiday destination offers so much to explore and experience in all seasons. This was our first visit, and we are already planning to return, to stay at Furano Lofts. It is outstanding value for money and worth every cent.

It has been a minute since I have been back, due to travel/pandemic etc., but this upscale home away from home hasn't changed... just excellent. For me, I need a space that is clean, convenient, relaxing place to hang out with family and friends while on vacation. I don't necessarily need every service such as five on-property restaurants, 15 pools and a gaming venue. This quaint group of lofts are just amazing for a vacation... upscale, quite, nice decor, well kept and tidy. The service at this property is beyond amazing... it is 7 stars, probably better than the most of those claimed 7 star hotels. Leon and Tim are superstars. They have a world of knowledge and they have your best interest in mind always. They will give you advice on just about anything. They are here early in the morning to greet you and late at night to say good evening. I can't imagine how many times a day they have to put their winter boots to meet and greet people all day. You would think they would be so tired of guests asking them to do stuff by now, but like I said, it's been years and the service is still top rate! For that alone, you have to come to the Furano Lofts!

What a perfect place to stay in Furano. Leon and Tim were so welcoming, providing shuttles to and from the lift every morning and local restaurant recommendations. The rooms were spacious (a real treat in Japan), extremely comfortable and walking distance to town. The private onsen was the most relaxing way to end the day. Would 100% recommend, and can't wait to book our next trip.

This was our second time at Furano Lofts and we were not disappointed. Having stayed at The Chalet last season and experiencing the wonderful hospitality shown by Leon and Tim, the decision to return was a natural one to make. Travelling in a smaller group of 3 this time we stayed at Mori Loft, a charming one-bedroom plus loft apar**ent. Immaculately maintained and unexpectedly spacious we didn't feel hemmed in even with our luggage opened on the floor - a rarity in Japan. We were yet again treated to the same high quality experience as before (even though we booked a smaller apar**ent this time), with many thoughtful conveniences provided for us: - As luggage isn't allowed up in the loft, a luggage rack was set up in the living room down below and a soft bag provided to contain smaller conveniences for use up in the loft. Talk about thoughtful attention to detail! - Leon remembered from my previous trip that I preferred sleeping on a contour pillow, and the said pillow was on the bed when we checked in. - One of the days was bitterly cold and we were presented with hot chocolate after returning from the ski resort. What a godsend it was! - My travel companion left her watch behind and Tim kindly organized for it to be returned to her in Tokyo. - Weather updates and advice on which zone to ski in based on the forecasts. The Furano Lofts experience is authentic, elegant and consistently executed, bespoke to the needs of their guests whether you're a first time or repeat visitor. Leon and Tim really make it easy to visit and experience Furano.

We had a group of 5 (all adults) staying at the Chalet in mid-January 2024 for 4 nights, and it was a wonderful experience to end our trip to Furano. The house was very clean with ample space, comfortable settings, sufficient amenities, and neat furnishings/decorations. Everyday coming back to the house really made us feel like coming back home. Not to mention the daily services and assistance provided by the host and staff as they have been most helpful to make our stay enjoyable (e.g. shuttle pickup services, Q&As, local recommendations and connections etc.). The private onsen (upon reservation with staff) was also a great plus. The location of the house is right by the famous dessert shop Furano Delice and slightly further away from the main restaurant locations, but it did not hurt much as we enjoyed walking to the restaurants (12-15 min walk), otherwise you can easily try to arrange shuttle or taxis to help you get to your destinations. If we have another chance to visit Furano again, we'd love to stay at the Chalet again!
