Had a great stay at The Residence Hotel! The location couldn't be better, with great places to wander nearby and great entertainment/live music all around in the evening. Was our first stop on our trip through Ireland and I hope to be back one day!

The hotel was hard to find. It’s a little hidden. Located above the 1520 bar. You have to be ready to listen to live music until 2am. They should have told us this or stated on their website. The room was a little small but had upgrade amenities. Over the room was clean. And staff were friendly. Plan on paying for parking around the corner.

Outside of the location, which was excellent, several major issues. • TV didn’t work • Air Con didn’t work and didn’t get any sleep • After hours you have to knock to be let in. Usually wouldn’t be an issue but I was left outside at 1 am for close to 10 mins and then my friend experienced the same Would not recommend, find elsewhere to stay

This is a very old hotel right in the heart of Galway. Even though the hotel was very small, with a quaint (but small) elevator, and very small rooms, it had a wonderful feel to it, and was above a great pub with good music. The location was wonderful. And the service was incredibly outstanding! I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel.

Absolutely love hotel! The rooms were super nice with all the amenities you need. Bed was super comfortable. Location is perfect walking distance to all the fun spots. I was a solo female and happy to have a safe area to walk around and be able to enjoy some pints! Would definitely stay again.

Just home from a wonderful stay at The Residence Hotel. The room was fabulous, very modern and spotless. Staff were very friendly. The bar next door had great Irish music and later on a talented singer. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Galway who would like to stay in the center of town.

Unique place right above a popular pub, other reviews had me worried about noise however it wasn't that bad and was fun to listen too from the room.
