Hotel berhampiran Domaine de La Côte d＇Or Gavillet & fils, Geneva

The hotel is around a 15 minute drive from the airport. The views from the room were very pretty. The room was large, with a bath. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is on the landing path to the airport, so some aircraft noise can be heard. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't send check-in information. We arrived late on a very rainy night. We couldn't see any signs to the underground parking. We called and they explained that we need to take a ticket from the machine and park in the shopping center -4. There we didn't notice that there are two elevators - one that leads outside to the outdoor entrance (no roof...), and the other that leads directly into the hotel. They could have saved some aggravation by simply sending in advance how to reach the hotel. The staff were very nice.

I booked in and thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend of Padel at the Evenness hotel . The course run by Twenty by Ten took place on the 3 new courts that are on site .The hotels location, approximately 20 minutes from Geneva, provided plenty of parking for the participants. There were bikes available and bike paths close to the hotel giving access to beautiful countryside and lakeside riding. The meals at the hotel were excellent and the gorgeous weather enabled us to take full advantage of the stylishly landscaped garden, terrace and pool area . Whenever I stay in hotels and eat in restaurants, an essential element for me is how welcome I feel and how friendly the staff are .There were no issues at this hotel where a warm smile and welcome was received from reception through to the man who cooked my eggs for breakfast. My room was clean and comfortable with fridge, kettle and hair dryer provided. I, unfortunately, didn't get time to use the spa, choosing instead to rest by the newly renovated pool overlooking the lake with a well deserved cocktail. It was paradise. Thanks to all staff and the Padel participants and organisers for making this a lovely weekend break away.

Établissement récemment ouvert (décembre 2023), nous y avons séjourné à l'occasion d'un déplacement semi-profesionnel et nous avons adoré cet hôtel à tous points de vues. Le personnel est très professionnel, l'accueil est fort chaleureux. La chambre est extrêmement lumineuse et confortable avec vue sur le lac, un très bon point pour la qualité de la literie. Tout y est fonctionnel avec les commandes électroniques. Egalement, une excellente table avec un thématique Danois, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la qualité de notre dîner assuré par une équipe efficace. Nous avons déjà hâte d'y retourner. Nous recommandons aux voyageurs cette belle adresse.

The hotel is conveniently located opposite the Annemasse trainstation. It is only a few minutes walk to the new shopping district which is filled with many different restaurants, bars and shopping outlets. By train it is only 22 minutes to Geneva or alternatively you can take the tram. From Geneva train station there are frequent trains to the airport only 6 minutes away. The hotel is modern and newly built within the past three years. They have gone for an industrialised chic look with polished concrete and exposed infrastructures. There is a lovely bar area which extends into the restaurant where breakfast is also served. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and check in was fast and efficient. I had booked a standard room and was pleasantly surprised by the modern decor, modern furniture and plush fixtures. The bed was very comfortable and naturally took up much of the room. There was a desk with chair, open wardrobe area to hang clothes and open shevling. It was appointed with tea/coffee facilities and a mini fridge. There was a large TV opposite the bed and ample lighting of different varieties. The bathroom was modern with large walk-in shower and a separate WC. The room was quite cramped and if space is important it may be worth upgrading to a larger room. The WiFi was good with speeds up to 40mbs however it did keep dropping and the signal was not strong with only 1-2 bars. There is a very nice rooftop Terrance with bar which is a lovely place to watch the sunset and have a social drink. I did not avail of the breakfast given the amount of bakeries in the local area. Overall this is a very nice modern hotel and well appointed. It's a great alternative to Geneva hotels and you get a lot more value for money.

I was traveling from my country to where I live now and I needed a place to stay with my parents and my doggy in the middle of the route. This was perfect as quality-price was good, quite room, toilet in the room and very nice staff at the reception. There was no terrace outside though, unlike other hotels from this chain.

Hôtel propre, bien situé, personnel sympathique. La chambre attribuée n’est pas spacieuse mais suffisamment pour 1 ou 2 personnes qui n’y passent que la nuit. La salle de bain est bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner est un buffet continental correct et representatif de ce genre d’hôtel. Deux bémols: - il serait vraiment important de proposer du pain tranché. En effet il n’est pas rassurant que chaque client saisisse le pain pour le couper. Cela choque d’autant plus dans le contexte sanitaire mais indépendamment du virus du moment ce n’est guère hygiénique. - une réception ouverte 24/24 serait plus rassurante qu’un seul système de carte magnétique pour débloquer tous les accès ( porte d’entrée, accès à l’ascenseur ou escalier) sans possibilité de faire appel à quelqu’un si défaillance ( j’ai posé la question). Les tarifs sont quand même élevés, il conviendrait d’engager du personnel et ne pas penser uniquement au profits des actionnaires.

Tout était parfait, du service impeccable à la propreté irréprochable des chambres. Le personnel était extrêmement accueillant et toujours prêt à aider avec le sourire. Les installations étaient modernes et bien entretenues, et le petit-déjeuner offert était varié et délicieux. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est idéal, proche des principales attractions touristiques. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel et j’y reviendrai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain séjour.

We stayed five nights in two interconnecting rooms at the end of a corridor, with a small kitchen area. This worked well for our family (two tween/teen boys) and gave us a good value base to explore the city. We compared the cost to Airbnbs and the hotel was a more cost-effective option for us, which was impressive as Geneva is not a cheap city. The staff were helpful, and there are lots of places nearby to eat. Geneva is a compact city and the hotel comes with a free public transport pass for the trams and buses which we used quite a bit to get around. The launderette next door is modern and convenient and helped us as we were travelling quite light. The hotel was quiet, though there was some building work nearby which started early in the morning, so if we had been light sleepers we might have needed earplugs.

My son and i stayed here for the Geneva marathon. Our flight got in early but the reception staff were very happy to store our luggage until check-in time. Hotel is very well placed, trams go pass, the train station (8 mins to the airport) is a 5 minute walk and 10 mins to the lake. We had a room at the back, yes the train line!, however we discovered that closing the substantial curtains reduced the unseasonal heat, and closing the window meant a good nights sleep. The double glazing is substantial! Best pillows and mattress ever, followed by a really good and varied breakfast (including hot rice for the runners). All of the staff were very helpful and cheerful. A delightful, convenient hotel and highly recommended. You will get a Geneva Travel Pass too!

It's a little far from the old town, but since you can get a free pass from the city's tourism bureau, you can come and go as you like on the tram, so it doesn't feel like an inconvenience. The staff was very helpful in helping us get our free passes. The staff were very kind.
